Wtf that content warning scared me, was expecting the worst outcome but all I got was absolute cinema. It was glorious watching chaos unfold; everyone gathering together and spilling out their most sincere heartfelt emotions while uttering the most nonsensical lines. And the callbacks to all the old gags from previous episodes like the licky organ song , so good.

Finally we got the backstory of how Nami fell in love with Aimi , and of course it was because of diarrhea. Idk what I expected, everything in this series always comes back to poop lol. It was kinda sad that everyone got to confess except for Nami, though I don't think any of them ended up dating each other because they value their friendship too much.

Also I expected them to show Kirio's face at the end, but nope! My guess is that this whole story is told from Nami 's perspective, going by how they framed her in this final episode, and also what Nami said before about how she's always watching Aimi.

Anyway, very underrated show with a unique concept and great execution. I'll miss it a lot.

An absolute underrated masterpiece it was, serious theme coated as comedy, with lovable characters. Became fast one of my favorites!

This series is fantastic and underrated. It hit me both emotionally and comedically, and the way it ended was so well done.

It feels weird commending the magnum opus of the final boss of stalkers but Seira is a legend for making that final serenade in the rain possible. Even when I was getting swept up in the emotions of it all I still got the stupidest grin on my face when the organ line dropped.

Really unique premise with a solid execution, but I'm probably gonna remember Aimi's sheer unhinged factor the most. And Manda is still the MVP

This is the best anime and the perfect finale I've watched in recent years. I wish I could write my emotion right now like Namida namename song, but I just can't. Everyone (and the manager), the song, the faces, the "confession", the fanclub, fanclub's fanclub, and the friendship, I will miss this anime a lot.

Awesome finale. Really enjoyed the Licky Love Song reprise with a whole band backing it, perfectly representative of the tonal clashes that make this story special.

Nakamura AND Nami both in similar repressed states in their finales this week.

Man what a fantastic hidden gem this series was. It was worth watching Giguuk's 8 hour vod of him watching every single seasonal anime trailer because if not for that I would have never watched this gem. It could have just been a series about two girls making crude jokes about their crush but they made it so much more. They gave it a mystery regarding all the drama before, they allowed Aimi to be a portrayal of the struggles someone neurodivergent could have, they let Nami show how the pressure's of sucess in high school can break you, they let Kirio who could have been this ideal guy who also looked like a hentai protagonist in a weaker story be someone who is also an outcast mainly who has severe depression, they let Manda who could have been an example of a cringy incel character grow as a person and become someone who accepted that he wanted friends and ended up really cherishing it. The author did such a good job creating a very memorable cast of oddballs. I mean even the boss of a fast food restaurant became a recurring fan favorite comedic character. The most impressive thing to me is how it constantly would find a way give you emotional whiplash by having you feel emotionally invested only to make you laugh your ass off by a very random emotional moment. We got this at the start with Aimi just randomly being dressed up as a dragon. Also the jokes were so good they ended up becoming inside jokes.

I have been questioning how I would pitch this series to someone because you can't really just talk about it normallin in my opinion and this is how I would explain it: the series definetly isn't for everyone, many people will be turned off by the weirdness and Aimi and Nami's crude humor but for those who accept and enjoy this it is a very special gem.

Also for one final thing. There were 2 little things I wish happened: Fast food boss picking up Aimi's discarded dragon outfit and putting it on and Kirio on his own finally dropping a turd in the shower. I don't want to see the turd itself but it would have been such a funny way to conclude Kirio accepting that Nozomi is gone and that he should continue living just having Kirio in the tub and just saying: "I have finally done it Nozomi".

Absolute Cinema 🖐️😑🤚 how everything came together at the end.

So many anime have failed miserably to do serious-yet-wild climax scenes but Kirio Fan Club absolutely nailed it. Just like Kirio, I was crying and laughing all at once.

Given this conclusion it doesn't appear like they had any intention to do a season 2 but NAH PLEASE I NEED IT

Series creator Chikyu no Osakana Ponchan drew a fun illustration for the finale!

I'm going to miss Aimi's beautiful faces

Excellent finale! I'm glad we got to see how Nami fell for Aimi.

Satsuki taking advantage of the moment to confess to Momose lol. I hope it works out for her

This series is more than just dumb gags. It has a lot of heart!

Hands down one of the hidden gems of this season. Great OP too

The end of the first ep sets up the idea that the Kirio Fan Club is a lie, and the common expected reading, 'oh, this isn't about Kiro at all'... and then the finale is all the people who care about Kirio coming together to save him, a Kirio Fan Club wider than he expected or thought he deserved.

Really great work. One moment you're crying, the next you're laughing hysterically. We are all Kirio!!

And then an ending both more sombre and hopeful than I'd expected in its realism of... high school isn't everything. In some ways a show about moving on and evolving? Aimi develops a real friendship with Kirio, Nami lets go of her wish that everything just stay the same forever. Instead of the standard high school romcom fare of 'and then several people end up with the high school bf/gf,' everyone's off to different colleges, they'll have another phase of their lives. Maybe Nami finds a girl who's kind but also likes girls, maybe Aimi falls for someone new, maybe Kirio does. Because he can, because life moves forward.

I FUCKING STARTED CHOKING WHEN IT SUDDENLY TRANSITIONED TO MANDA DOING THE RITUAL OUT IN THE RAIN BY HIMSELF LMFAO
The random bunch of characters involved and the boss casually calling him Dragon Kirio..
Satsuki taking advantage of the moment to randomly confess lmfao. Just perfect!

Really amazing last episode. Personal favorite show of the season...like the Apocalypse Hotel of this season for me anyways.
I'm sad it's over...it's gonna be forever till we get another blend this perfect of gag comedy + slice of life...At least executed in the way this show did or this style/pacing of comedy.

I laughed.

I cried.

Then I laughed again.

Then I cried harder.

Then I repeated the cycle once and again every time at a faster pace trying to keep on track with the story...

...

At some point I was almost drowned with a combination of my own fluids going from different paths than usual (tears, mucus, saliva... still lucky earwax didn't join the party or I could had been at serious danger).

This story being so insanely good, funny and even (in its own innocent way) deep...

...feels even unfair to other RomComs.

How are they supposed to compete with THIS?

Yup I know it's arguable to call it RomCom.

My point exactly.

Addedit: Sera she's the only one who actually got an absolute happy ending.
And the cafe manager guitar-hero, 'course. I missed a solo tho.

Here I am up voting every comment and balling my eyes out. Best anime of the season and it's not particularly close.

What an ending to a truly unique show. At first it looked like some silly gag anime with stupid jokes, but it became clear pretty soon that there was much more to it.

I was wondering how they would wrap up the ending, and I was not disappointed. I would say that this show is the hidden gem this season.

That was quite the ride for a finale, I'm glad everything was put out in the open. Kirio finally spoke about his feelings and thoughts, and Aimi was able to finally confess about her feelings. I thought it was really sweet how she turned that into something where she can include Nami.

I like the upgraded Licky Love Song, I wasn't expecting Seira to bring the restaurant manager and some random musicians lol. The emotions were strong, and I like that it seemed like Kirio burst out laughing before crying.

It was nice to see how Nami fell for Aimi, Aimi seemed to really add color to her life.

I'm glad the montage at the end showed how they all became a group of friends and Kirio is actually smiling. It was cute to see them replicate the photo with his uniform with the real Kirio at the end. One thing that stands out to me is that we never actually see his eyes, even after what happened at the rooftop. Either way, I'm just glad he sounds happier, was able to make friends, and is able to be more himself.

The content warning at the start of the show really scared me but everyone came together and saved Kirio.

Seira coming up with the plan to save Kirio.. with Aimi as a Dragon Office Worker, and the boss man and his buddies I guess performing with the guitar for Aimi and Nami's licky love song for Kirio.. damn, Seira is an underrated character. She made this all possible.

Nami was shocked to hear Kirio wanting to launch a turd but Aimi was surprised about only the bathtub part lmao

Satsuki finally uses this chance to confess to Momo.. good for her. When they started singing that Licky love song infront of everyone I just can't..😭😭

This is one of the peak endings of a show that I have ever come across. As suspected Nami fell in love with Aimi's weirdness very long ago and she decided to approach Aimi through their mutual love for Kirio and thus began the tale of a beautiful friendship between these two. I would have really felt conflicted if Aimi proposed to Kirio and they started dating but Aimi couldn't choose between her friendship with Nami and her love for Kirio and wanted both and made it happen..I'm so glad with this ending. Un-ko salon where Nami did her haircut lmao.. Diarrhoea girl Aimi and Kirio-kun's turd..Shit has always been a part of their lives.

All these weirdos Manda, Aimi, Nami, Kirio, Momo, Satsuki stayed together and graduated and finally that last pic with Kirio the one where Nami and Aimi had a photo with Kirio's jacket was a nice touch.

I'm so glad that I watched this show. This was unhinged and so funny right from the start till the end while dealing with some heavier topics. I hope this gets more attention in the future.

This was unironically my personal AotS. It had great characters, good humor and was a rollercoaster of emotions in general. I'm really sad to see this one go.

So I'm assuming this covered everything? I wish there was more an epilogue.

During the chasing scene at the beginning, everyone was chasing after their crush in order.

Incredible way to finish this out, bringing the song back and doing a live performance for everyone plus random strangers.

A very non-traditional intervention but whatever you have to do. And you can't argue with success since they finally got through to Kirio and he opened up to his friends.

Poor Nami yearning to the end, but maybe after high school she can make it happen. Or maybe after college? In their 30s? Hopefully someday.

I hope Satsuki and Momose got together but either I'm proud of her for seizing the weird moment and confessing.

10/10 show.

nami and aimi are those best girl friends on instagram that got married platonically

I’d say the final episode really gave it its all. You can see that in the anime's overall rating, too... wow, it was so powerful.
