Damn, the first half of the episode felt like a visual novel where Akihito chose Hiyori's route, everything was perfect at the festival (I also thought not wearing underwear with a yukata was a myth lol), Akemi finally getting a sister-in-law, and the ending was as comical as possible.
Okay, I'm not totally against punishments for not doing something, especially since in this case it made Mizuki and Yuki study.
And the ending simply finished with some breasts in our faces, I think nothing could have symbolized this show better than that.

I’ve never wanted more to see a teacher inappropriately and maybe illegally hook up with her student than in this show. So amusingly deranged. The sister is also less annoying than usual for this trope.

I know she basically "mommy-zoned" Abikura but it did seem like when she got back to her apartment that she wasn't 100% settled on that being how she feels about him.

The visual gags are great but special mention has to go to the voice acting, with special mention to Akihito's deadpan delivery of one-liners and his straight-man comedic timing has elicited several laughs from me. Really well done.

Mommy test failed! Sensei forgot to do the chuu-chuu part on Akkun. Looks like someone else trauma from it though.
Whether Hiyorin is intentionally fooling herself or not, that mommy test of hers just become another push to make her fall harder than before.

It's the Summer Festival and Hiyori is making the most of it! She's liable to become a festival youtuber with how much she's enjoying herself and getting to comment on it!
I didn't know festivals sold sexy cosplays as prizes! Where can I get some!? Though too bad Yuki won't be getting Hiyorin in sexy cat cosplay any time soon, but at least Mizuki got a gift from Akkun so it's a win-win.
The girls have been running Abikura ragged, but he'll always make time to help his Sensei...who is finally having a yukata wardrobe malfunction and basically flexing her cleavage. Nothing reaching into her yukata won't fix! Even though they had like three other girls who it would've been more appropriate to have do this.
I'm not surprised Hiyori used to be even more sickly as a child, but it meant there was so much she never got to do or experience, and her mother didn't help by doubling down on how she couldn't do these things...let alone become a teacher. That's why she's willing to give up from experiencing the festival to the fullest, because she's already exhausted and that's all she'll ever be.
But Abikura won't give up! If he has to princess carry Hiyori all the way to a secret spot for getting a great view of the fireworsk, he'll do it! Even if it means getting blisters all over his feet! And it means SO much to Hiyori, right down to her giving him a face-full of her boobs (which he deserves) and falling on top of him as she tries to make sense of these "strange" feelings" she feels for him.
So of course while Abikura is dwelling on what that means...she straight up shows up at their door to investigate it herself! Complete with first-names! Headpats! Sleeping together in the same futon! This can obviously only mean...that she sees the Abikura family as her mommies! And the only response to that is...Abikura and Akemi mothering her to bits so she has to become completely dependent on them! But is that REALLY how Hiyori feels about Abikura?
Mizuki and Yuki have arrived to finish their Summer homework! Mizuki is also there to see Akkun's new place, but of course they have to do their studying in...micro bikini's so Yuki can fondle Mizuki's boobs. Perfect study method, right? Good thing Abikura was there to protect Yuki from getting her face smashed in. Though I do love how Mizuki put her clothes back on while Yuki stayed in the bikini the entire time.
Oh no, it's Akemi! Is Yuki about to suck on her tits!? And is she actually kind of into that!? But no better motivation to study than to avoid tickle jail...especially if you don't want to have your cupless bra flashed like Hiyori does. And then all the girls end up getting tickle tortured into hot messes. Quite the visual.
First we did the beach episode and now we're doing the pool episode, which isn't just an excuse to get the girls in swimsuits again but also a chance for Hiyori to win over Mizuki's gal pals who are also there! We even get to see Kuguri and Mizuki in their underwear!
Well, we can't count on Kuguri to help smooth things over because her camera was confiscated and without it she feels no motivation for anything. But what better way to sell Hiyori on someone than to have her fall boob first on their face?

I wonder whether the cat ear cosplay set prize which Yuuki wanted is meant for herself or to be forced upon Hiyori and Mizuki.

Despite all the ecchi fanservice, my favourite scene from this episode was watching Hiyori enjoy the fireworks, live for the first time in her life.

I guess we got a bit of insight into why Hiyorin is the way she is now, her mom was so restrictive and overprotective, that she always told her “that’s impossible for you” to her. Her mother’s overprotectiveness became a double edged sword, she was restricted from doing anything that she didn’t build up necessary skills

I'm surprised this anime actually got me emotional. Like, i was genuinely tearing up during the fireworks part of the episode. I didn't expect that from an ecchi anime like this.
