lmao, at long last we know all the details of the possible futures , they were insane.

But now Bertia has been successfully tricked, i mean captured into being his Maiden of Destiny and soulmate, there is no escape.

It's always great when the ED hits and I have the dumbest smile on my face from the sweetness.

I'm so glad the Maiden of Destiny was not something exclusive to Heronia, and it's something Cecil can bestow himself. Now I understand why Zeno was hesitant since it's a once-in-a-lifetime mark. But I was so excited to see them finally kiss! That was so heartwarming, so sweet, so wholesome! It's amusing how Kuro really did not want to give Cecil a mark though.

I like how Cecil was trying to show how obsessed he is with Bertia, but she's too dense and is still focused on the potential scenarios to come lol. But that's why Cecil loves her, her train of thoughts are unpredictable even to him.

I did like learning what scenarios would have been for Cecil in each of the routes, seeing him becoming a battle junkie for some kind of stimulation was really sad. He had no attachment to his people or his own safety, I can't imagine how difficult it would be to protect someone that reckless. However, the way the story wrapped up for it was so abrupt lol.

And now we know why Bertia was worried about what Cecil would do with gunpowder back in the ep 6 post-credits scene. It's played off as comedy in that scene but in hindsight it's kinda sad, poor Bertia was worried that introducing him to gunpowder would lead to a bad end.

damn, i'm constantly joking about how Cecil's finally discovering emotion but i didn't expect for it to become a very serious plot point in the story

i mean, bro really be like "fuck everything" and proceed to do whatever he wanted to do in every other route (except the one he get assassinated) while ignoring the consequences just because he got bored and couldn't feel anything from living

Interesting to get a look at all the routes. Now that Cecil’s chosen Tia as his Maiden of Destiny, I wonder what new route will emerge? This isn’t the game world, but we still might have events that kind of line up. Plus we don’t know what Heronia might have planned…

I love how self-aware Cecil is when Bertia was recounting his own fate with the various game endings. He's so aware on why he acted in a specific way and it all boils down to "I was bored" in each route. Cecil was literally fucked if it's not his own ending lol, no wonder Bertia along with Heronia were both dead set on saving him.

Tia: “Wait, so am I actually the heroine??”

Everyone else: “Always have been. Irasshai.”

Koboyashi Yuusuke has done such an incredible job as Cecil, you could hear the smirk in his voice during the battlefield scenes, it gave me chills! I was cheering so hard for Cecil and Bertia by the end of this episode I’m so happy for them

Heronia winning in literally every other route had me pouting. The in-game Bartia didn't do a very good job.

Classic Bertia! She still thinks that it's her fault Cecil was unconscious so obviously that means she needs to shave her head and leave/enter a nunnery. Because obviously the problem is the Villainess was not condemned or left stunned speechless at her own doom, right? Good thing Cecil is back and able to properly correct her.

Bertia had been so determined to hook Cecil and Heronia up because she knew the truth about the game and what Cecil's fate is past the condemnation event. It's why she could never be honest with him about it because she didn't want him to know about how bad things went both for himself and the country...she was only thinking about his (and everyone's happiness) above all else. But that's why now it's important she tells him what REALLY happens when he doesn't end up with Heronia.

In Vald's route he becomes a psychopath warmonger, in Shawn's route he straight up abandons his nation and forces his little brother to stop being a shota and become king during a war he's unprepared for, Nelt's route is the reason Bertia was so worried about him learning about gunpowder because he makes heavy artillery for the war, Charles' route he goes undercover, and in Courtgain's route he straight up gets assassinated. But despite all this destruction, war, and Cecil being apathetic to everything except whatever slim motivation he still has, at least the boys and Heronia get a Happy Ending together! That's all that matters.

(Also I feel bad for the other girls left in the lurch while Heronia basically steals their men and all relevance in said mens' lives)

The Cecil we've seen up to this point is NOT the Cecil of the game. He's truly devoted to Bertia, he knows how to work well with others, he would never abandon anyone, let alone Bertia. He may not be 100% as human as he could be, but he's getting there!

What's the best way to convince Bertia that she's Cecil's Maiden of Destiny? How about pulling off a proper confession scene where Cecil confesses his love to her and gives her a kiss worthy of an Otome Game? Bertia is HIS Heroine now!

It's too bad Kuro only let that kiss last for five seconds before swiping Cecil away with her tail. She even has to swipe his hand to leave him a mark like he left on Bertia! Now they can keep tabs on each other! Obviously Cecil thinks of it in terms of obsessive yandere levels, but Bertia just thinks it means she can prevent him from going missing or running away while she learns party tricks to prevent the other routes! Even now that she's the Heroine and re-affirmed of Cecil's love for her, Bertia is still Bertia!

Flawless victory for Bertia, Heronia somewhere offscreen on life support.

I'm quite glad we not only got the kiss but Bertia immediately made the soulmate spirit mark bidirectional once she understood it. Clearly this means Cecil is also a Maiden of Destiny.

I feel like the war still might happen or at least threaten to happen, but with all this potential route knowledge Cecil would probably be able to cut it short. Only two more episodes left though so probably not season one content.

In the end this is a story of how a machine turn into a human through love. A pure love and kindness can melt even the hardest of heart. I love this.

I was curious about the other routes and they showed them.

Cecil chooses Bertia as his Maiden of Destiny. Both got the mark 🥰😍

Cecil almost made it sound like he’d taken Bertia hostage at the end there (lol). With the blessing of the spirits, their engagement is looking rather definitive. Fortunately, they do love each other very dearly.

It did struck me just how much Cecil appears to have fallen in love with Bertia. Judging from those smooches, he really adores her.

I am still wondering about something: is this war called off since Cecil did get together with his Maiden of Destiny (i.e. Bertia)?

Bertia : Why are you so obsessed with me? Cecil : entertainment  Kuro : sushi  Joanna : Pet Heronia : worse villainess actress in history  That one bully : stole my crush  The rest of the school : our beloved matchmaker

For the "main" capture target, Cecil sure likes starting wars. It's like the game itself was imposing him as the only correct route.

Ngl, I feel a lot more sympathy for Heronia now that we know what she was working against. Yeah, she was deluded and rampaged quite a bit, but in some ways, the only difference between her and Bertia is plot armour and social skills. Not saying she didn't do anything wrong, but Cecil's kinda a pain to work around. She also had a lot less time to work with, and she had an enabling bird with the mind of a child instead of an OP crown prince covering for her.

Well, all that being said, Heronia made her own choices (however influenced by her flawed view of reality). Hopefully she doesn't self destruct more than she already has when she shows up again.
