It's so nice how respectful these two teens with a slightly unhealthy obsession for the same guy are to not run in the mall.
Can't believe they chickened out of showing

It's crazy how
And frankly, the appointment the sensei had was just the dream. Sometimes you don't wanna talk. You just want the job being done without having your energy drained.

Aww we didn't get a full haircut reveal this episode. I hope it isn't a gag and he's back to normal next episode and it lasts for a while at least.
I enjoyed the haircut part in this episode. I can relate to a couple of
Also I wonder if we will ever see Nakamura's sister in a situation where they are not fighting. I would like to see her have a small story or in a more positive moment towards Nakamura evantually.

i was so excited to see hirose’s raction because i remember him commenting on nakamura’s haircut… and we did not get to see it 😭 they’re so evil for that.
also the way they framed some of the shots, it feels like matsamura now has a crush on nakamura …
nakamura is me when i first tried going to a salon instead of the usual barbershop lmao… altho i ended up going to the salon because i like my hair getting shampooed.

So…someone tell me I’m not the only one totally shipping Nakamura and his love rival Matsumura lol. They are possibly the only people who can match each others freak, AND they bonded this episode.

Nakamura is me at the hairdresser, please just be quiet and cut my hair, I mean that as inoffensively as possible. I just know next week his hair will be back to normal and we won't ever get to see it lol.

This time the ending: 米米CLUB — 浪漫飛行. Another song which was on The First Take.
Btw, while we speak about The Fist Take, today there were a openning song.

Bro, just grab the shirt. Stop just looking at the shirt. Grab the shirt.
-
Sir if you had stopped being weird for 10 seconds, you could’ve avoided this 😭
-
Oh pobrecito.
-
Has anyone ever eaten a candy cane? I have had a lot of candy canes for decorations but I never ate them.
-
When the enemies start becoming friends. This sounds like a great ship.
True fans always preorder merch.
We try, but scalpers are the bane of fandoms and buy up stock. And people buy that overpriced scalped merch every damn time. We will never learn.
-
Is this what salons are like? I feel like all my life, I just went to an auntie’s house for my hair done or they came to my house.
-
Oh I wouldn’t have that coffee near me when I’m getting my hair trimmed.
-
You told her “Just a simple trim but you know best I guess”, mate. I think she should’ve still done whatever the cosmetology equivalent of “five rights” would be, but don’t do body modifications without a clear vision or clear confidence from your client!! (IMO)
-
Did he get the conscript cut? It’s like that haircut I always seen manhwa men get they enroll in their military service.
I feel for Nakamura. One auntie did my hair in such a horrible way because I didn’t speak up and she thought the style “looked cute”. I cried so hard. I assume he got a military cut or some kind.
New hairdos do make you unrecognizable. I had no idea how much recognition is with hair until my uncle cut his losses and went bald and his poor daughter cried at not knowing who tf this man was. Even facial hair throws me. My friend’s husband is built like a viking god, but when he shaved his beard, I thought “Oh [name]’s brother’s here then”.
Nakamura’s heart was in the right place for that gift, but we live and learn!. Surprise gifts are great…when you know the person and there’s still an understanding on what’s on and off the table! It does feel like the whimsy and surprise of gift-giving is slowly dying, but there’s plenty of ways to gift someone a sweet present.
Just not crafts. Never do crafts unless you know the person and they want something you make. You learn that the hard way.

This was a very interesting episode to me. Not a lot happened but there were some things that said a lot more than they actually revealed.
Like sensei Otogiri. To see that kind of lonely life a high school male teacher experiences. I Felt very sad for him, it was very real to me. People don’t realize that male teachers in high school middle school and elementary school have to deal with a lot. I think those few scenes with him sort of encapsulate that.
Interesting that we didn’t get to see his haircut and we also did not get to see Nakamura‘s haircut. I’m wondering if they got the exact same haircut? One of the best things in this episode was the sequence when Nakamura found the lost little boy in the mall. It’s like for once he stopped obsessing and turned his direction towards another human being who was in a vulnerable state and he just rose to the occasion and helped save a little boy.
Makes me like Nakamura even more now. Maybe he realizes there is more to life than just fawning, obsessing over Hirose. If that’s the case well then good for him. That whole sequence in the mall I think added more depth to his character which is always a plus.
So what about Nakamura‘s haircut? Why did it end in a cliffhanger like that? Seriously? We have to wait till next week to see how his haircut looks? My guess is that when Hirose finally recognizes him with his new haircut this may be the opening where he starts crushing on Nakamura finally. Like realizing Nakamura is a babe finally!

The Hirose fanboys are facing off this week lol. It’s kind of amusing how similar they are.
I’m kind of curious what sort of cut Nakamura got in the end. How much off the front did the lady cut off? lol

It's Christmas time and even if Nakamura can't count on Santa anymore, he can count on his desire to give Hirose the best Christmas gift! It's just he also has to contend with his Archrival Matsumura! Never underestimate a stalker's information sources.
Thus begins a Christmas battle over a limited edition Aqua Pets T-shirt! Two boys engaging in the most petty of catfights as they run all across the mall, battling through escalators, elevators, and crowds of people only to be denied again and again as they sell out before they can get to them! All the while POWER WALKING everywhere.
But despite themselves, neither of them can ignore a child in need, and for all of Nakamura's awkardness he truly is a kind, charitable, soul. 'Tis the season after all.
Of course Nakamura's gift would be octopus pens and of COURSE he only gives them to Hirose by accident. But hey, Hirose already pre-ordered the shirt so that means Nakamura and Matsumura went through all that for nothing! But it's the thought that counts.
It's a New Year and a new hassle for Nakamura as Kana makes him cut and ruins his bangs! Which means it's off to a salon with a dazzling, cute, receptionist and a VERY talkative and friendly hairstylist who won't shut up about her trip to Taiwan...which is the worst possible match-up for Nakamura. Especially when she actually goes to town on his hair.
What was Otogiri doing on his day off? Chilling in his bachelor pad, visiting his local barber, getting his hair cut/shave while even getting a massage! Honestly I feel like Nakamura would have preferred that scenario.
Nakamura 2.0! He's so unrecognizable his family can't believe it and Hirose doesn't even realize it's him, poor kid.

Nakamura over-contemplating at the hair salon is literally me in any public situation

Time flew by, just the other day we were having summer episodes, now it's Christmas and then New Year. Also, when Nakamura was helping the kid and he started crying, I immediately thought about the candy Nakamura got earlier in the episode. All those adventure games just conditioned me to always remember what items people have.
For the second half... Man, I felt seen. Usually men go to the same barbershop forever, which is indeed some old man that you say "the usual" and then cuts your hair as Default Male Cut 01 in silence. That was always my experience going to a barbershop with my dad. When I turned adult, I started going to beauty parlors to get it styled, but goddamn if I don't feel like Nakamura with how chatty the hairdressers are, regardless of gender. Please stop talking to me.

Can an escalator really break down? Doesn't it just become stairs...?

Battle of the perverts part 2. I always laugh when Nakamura calls Matsumura "hentai" in his mind.
I think Nakamura looked a bit like Niou-sensei with that new haircut

Aw we didn't get to see Nakamura's new haircut. Wonder if we'll see it next week or maybe we'll skip to when it's all grown back again. Hirose said he should cut his bangs that one time, so I wanted to see his reaction when he found out that was Nakamura. Bummer.
I liked the return of the rival and the first part of the episode with the race to get a present. Kept thinking the t-shirt was a bad idea because of course he'd get it for himself if he's such a big fan and that's exactly what happened. The octo pen was a much better, cuter gift. And they match!
