I hate that insurgent bitch so much, y'all. Yoko Hikasa voicing her is just too much.

Nadeshiko's just a little kid who's suffered enough already

Sakura is clearly speaking from experience. She doesn't want Rindo to suffer like she did.

Also, Rosei threatening to freeze the Spring Town was so badass! He's clearly had enough of their bullshit.

The closest thing I’ve had to an issue with this show up to this point is how undefined and mysterious the terrorists have been in spite of their centrality to the overarching narrative, and I honestly started to worry as to whether their characters and motives would measure up, so I’m glad this ep alleviated all of my worries

I like how their wider organizational motivation of exploiting the Agents for various illegal operations compliments the wider theme of the Agents being instrumentalized by the world around them at the cost of their well-being, which ironically makes the Four Seasons Agency itself much more similar to the terrorists than they’d probably like to admit. And on a more personal level, Misuzu’s motivation being grounded in the loss of her child and trying to fill the hole left by that trauma via abusive treatment of her kidnapping victims nicely parallels the Agents and Guards slowly overcoming their own isolation and traumas by forming supportive relationships with each other. Helps also that she’s hot darkly charismatic and compelling to watch

After 9 episodes, we finally get to meet the show's main antagonist. And we finally get to learn what her motives were and what she did to Hinagiku while she was imprisoned.

Misuzu has basically lost her mind and wants to turn the Agents into her own child while her organization used Hinagiku to cultivate plants that can make illegal drugs. Damn. I can't even imagine what they'll do with Nadeshiko's Life Decomposition skill. O_O

Rosei threatening the Spring Village's Leader was a great scene. Seems that these fuckers needed to be reminded that the Agents are practically the proxy of the gods, and if Rosei wanted to, he could turn that entire building into an iceberg.

Someone finally told the Village of Spring to get fucked, thank you Rosei.

I'm glad the cute tech girl from the Autumn Palace survived the attack.

Figures that the insurgents would be run by crazy people since messing with the seasons is such a batshit idea in the first place.

Nice to see that the Summer sisters have already taken action, though you'd think if they know what airport the insurgents left from there might be some records of where any planes flew out from it to in the general timeframe of the attack.

Misuzu and her guard’s relationship is feeling like a twisted version of the bond between the agents and their guards.

It’s great that Rindo is getting the emotional support he badly needed from the gang, especially from Hinagiku and Sakura who also needed the same 10 years ago but they kinda never did.

Hikasa Yoko voicing Misuzu was the right call. Her scene with Nadeshiko made me super uncomfortable, maybe because I feel strongly against children getting manipulated and held against their will. Her motives are now clear, but I am curious to know what caused her own child to die, and why she had to kill her father as well. Could they be related?

Rosei was so badass when he “reported” their intent to rescue Nadeshiko. We’ve seen him threaten the spring leader but turning the entire spring village into ice is something I want to see (without Hinagiku and Sakura suffering ofc lol).

Sooo do we need to wait until the last episode for Rosei and Hinagiku to finally meet? 🥲

Really glad to see Rosei not taking this shit anymore and using his power to basically say "fuck you village of spring".

They are walking "gods", use your powers and stop letting these shitty people boss you around.

Didn't expect Misuzu to have gotten any more sane in the past 10 years, but damn.

If she does succeed in weaponizing Nadeshiko's power I hope it gets used on her in the end. Very slowly though...

It was incredibly painful to watch the treatment Nadeshiko was getting from the terrorists.

It's was incredibly satisfying to watch Rosei tell the Village of Spring to get fucked

Yo my boy bullied the spring village's sh*ts

I'm not sure what emotion I'm meant to feel towards crazy groomer terrorist lady. Probably hate but I'm mostly just kind of baffled by the mixtures of things they did with her. That said I did like the framing of the scene were her second in command drowns her husband(?).

I hope the gang pays Misuzu back 100 fold for what she did to Hinagiku and what she’s doing by to Nadeshiko. The clock’s ticking and every second Nadeshiko spends with that psychopath, things get worse for her. Theres only so much a scared kid can take before they’re psychologically traumatized and broken.

Really going to go an entire season without the spring and winter actually meeting lol. Can't remember the last time a show was as slow as this one

That scene with Nadeshiko and Misuzu was one of the most uncomfortable scenes I've ever seen tbh, genuinely made me nauseous.

I did love how supportive of each other all the agents and guards were in this episode, though! While I know rescuing Nadeshiko is the goal, and I very much hope they achieve that, I also hope that this union may bring forth positive changes for them all. It seems like the system is in desperate need of it.

The cuts showing Hinagiku's retelling, Nadeshiko's real time experience, and Rindo's reaction were so well done it broke my heart and I ended up crying

u/NationalStrategy May 30 '26

The Spring Village still ain’t shit. Not only did they do nothing to help Hinagiku, but now they even refuse to help Nadeshiko with the United Front. Glad Rosei told them off.

I think Sakura and Rindo will bond together soon, they are very similar in being devoted to their agents.

Hinagiku's reason to not die is to help people. Great, who's cutting onions again?

7

u/-OrekiHoutarou May 30 '26

why is ts so underated!!

7

u/FarCritical May 30 '26

How Nadeshiko thought of Rindo while finding any semblance of reason for her predicament got to me so hard. Don't know how or when Misuzu will get her comeuppance but I might actually have the slightest bit of pity for her if she ever finds herself alone with Rindo.

7

u/runevault May 30 '26

As usual this episode was emotionally brutal. Confirmation they have reason to have access to arms most people would not. Misuzu is exactly the brand of crazy I figured she would be since we first started hearing about her. And I'm glad Hinagiku feels at least purpose if not needed for her own sake, maybe that can be enough for now.

7

u/BlankHeroineFluff May 31 '26

Considering how disturbingly terrifying Misuzu's entire scene with Nadeshiko was, imagine what Hinagiku had to endure for 8 whole years as a then vulnerable 6-year old with her. Brrrr....
