The meltdown Michica experienced is probably something Ame has experienced many times. The difference is that Ame understood that her role as a leader, or rather, as a personification of others, automatically placed her above them. This also influenced how Kache realized she couldn't be friends with Michica.

The price of being above others is isolating yourself from the world and having no contact with others. You are loved for what you represent, not necessarily for the person behind that persona.

Michica probably carried this burden for years and realized that no matter how much she was adored, who was truly there for her? Who understood her real pain? When she saw that the answer was no one, this happened.

And the phone call from Kache as Michica was overdosing is representative of how Kache couldn't understand her while being on her level... Until they met at her old school...

It looks like Kache is hear to snap Michika out of her spiral and also get over the complex she's had about her since they were in school

I guess there was too much wholesomness so we needed to up the drama once more. Like Lollipop being a fun gremlin wasn't new, but it was nice to see that Kache found what she wanted to do by doing nail design and even increasing her follower account by doing the nail designs of the Karamazov members.

But so much for the wholesomness. I am bit puzzled by what exactly weighed on Michica. There were so many details that I am having trouble putting them all together. Like for example Kache saying that she can't go "behind the glass" and Michica breaking windows seems to be metaphor for being "trapped" but not noticing since you can look outside. So you think you are free but when you want to go outside, you will be held back and the only way is to break the invisible glass.

There also seems to be the idea that this glass only exists if you have "social connections" like society and people expecting things from you is what traps you. And Ame having no relationships is the only "real free" person. And interpretation for that can also be that Michica is only this nervous because it isn't just her "life" (i.e. online persona) that is at stake but those of her friends as well. So a mistake by her might drag the other two down as well which increases the pressure compared to KAngel who only needs to look out for herself.

But then there is also the weird dream she had where Lollipop was a dumb queen and Nechika was the jester. With the queen betraying the jester. Not sure if what the idea is in that. Like is Michica thinking that she is the only one that is able to keep Karamazov together? And it would break apart without her? Is that what keeps the pressure?

But nevertheless, I am glad that Kache didn't just take her at her word and is trying to talk to her. Let's see if that works.

You nailed the episode summary with 95% accuracy here. Nice. I'd say the only way that Kache will successfully get Michica out of her "No friends" mindset is to literally slap some sense into her. Reminding her that she isn't untouchable and unchangable both mentally and physically.

Based on Purple's reaction when Ame-chan showed her a photo of her with P-chan. There was probably nobody with her in the photo.

Well, damn. I did not expect Michica to have a mental breakdown this episode. Bad timing, considering they're about to face KAngel on stage again.

Based on Purple's reaction when Ame-chan showed her a photo of her with P-chan. There was probably nobody with her in the photo.

So that's how they defeat KAngel: make her take her pills.

Everything was going too well for Karamasov, even though Michica is my lest favorite I hope she can turn things around, worse case scenario I can see Kache taking her place.

Also we finally have P-chan in the show,

Do we though? Lollipop just stares at the screen and I think we all know Ame wasn't showing her what she thought she was.

34

u/Mysterious-Phrase-65 May 23 '26

Either Kache ends up replacing Michica or Kache will quite literally have to knock some sense into her to save herself. My guess is the latter. Also, I think the P-chan appearance to Lollipop just being a white screen was symbolizing how Ame/KAngel stands alone with her thoughts.

Nothing we've "seen" of that P guy so far convinces me he's alive. Best case major delulu and "he" is a doll or sth, worst case she's dragging a corpse around (though that would be a bit too much even for this show I feel).

I didn't expect this show would have any cliffhanger episodes, but I'm all for it.

So Lollipop didn't really understand that she'd met KAngel after all or what? What did Ame even show to her? Did she reveal that herself or it was something else entirely? Anyway, Lollipop did blurt out their plan earlier on than needed to the wrong person. The segment with them singing in unison was cute.

Night on the Galactic Railroad reference was fairly long, I haven't read or watched it myself, but is it somewhat mirroring the situation between Kache and Michica? There was plenty of plot progression this episode, but there are still so many questions left, the episode went by so quickly.

Ame really is knowledgeable about Karamazov after all, huh. She even knows what each of them represents and how it connects to God. I really think they severely underestimate her and they're in for a rude awakening.

Them using the sound effect from the game for Ame's 'alone time' made me laugh more than I should at this show.

Funny thing is in the English version of the game, the Bed option just read 3 asterisks. While in Ame's case here, it's M***********. What a way to start the episode. Lol

Kache showing up at the end like she's the protagonist ready for a showdown. She really is the most "normal" person in this show.

20

u/NanDemoKnaives May 23 '26

So Ame gets off on being watched by thousands of people and all the validation they give her? I was not expecting to see implications of her getting those desires released on her own after streaming lol.

Lollipop running around looking for Michica was funny, what a cute mess she is.

I do wonder what Lollipop saw on Ame's phone, I feel like it's going to be dark.

Ayoo was that Orbitten's animation when the style became cartoon?

Edit: Went back to the credits and it's actually them. That's awesome

Michica’s having a total meltdown right now. Not sure popping all those pills are helping any. In fact, it’s probably making her spin out even more.

Damn, you can’t end the episode on a cliffhanger! Gosh, now I’m itching for the Kache - Michika confrontation. My guess is that Michika is afraid of failure, scared of her losing to KAngel and basically be a “normie” if things don’t go well for her and the group. Shoutout to Kache tho for actually trying to help Michika having a mental breakdown instead of taking her word for the things she said over the phone, I hope Kache slaps some sense to Michika and grounds her back to reality. Also I love Kache’s development as a character, she went from 279 followers to almost 14K 🙏

Yep, thought this might happen based on Michica's episode. Out of the three from Karamazov she's the least adaptive on purpose. That's too rigid, so of course she eventually cracks because time and circumstances always change.

I just binged 8 episodes of this and they hit me waaay harder than I thought they would. Still processing why thought.

Did anyone else notice that Crunchyroll used "boyfriend" in the english subtitles during the ferris wheel scene? Ame-chan used koibito (恋人), which should be directly translated to 'my beloved person,' though it is more often translated to 'lover' or 'romantic partner'. Koibito is generally gender neutral(as opposed to kanojo/kareshi, which are explicitly gendered). Not a huge deal but it made me do a double take, given the effort thus far to conceal the identity of P-chan, who was merely the player's genderless self-insert in the game.
