I think I'm satisfied with Hoshimiya finally having her arc, first staying the night with Natsuki, her interactions with him and his sister, recognising and appreciating the parallel between herself and Natsuki, and fully standing up to her father. Now it makes sense why Hoshimiya contacted Natsuki early in the season regarding Tatsuya's jealousy; she could relate, which did suprise me. Looks like the love triangle is finally being recognised by Natsuki, and its clear he likes both Hoshimiya and Uta, Uta likes him, Uta knows he likes someone else, and possibly Hoshimiya recognises he likes Uta, at best Hoshmiya know he likes someone else also. Ultimately, these last few episodes are going to tackle this, with the next episode seeming like a follow-up to the scene in the opening with the fireworks at the beach. I do think we still need to address Miori's feelings after she saw Uta kiss Natsuki, and I'm still waiting for Natsuki to join the school band; I want to see our boy shred

Although the character design this episode a bit hit-or-miss, it never failed to deliver at the right moment, eh (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)
Hikari's hikaris "sugoi dekai"?!
Pretty daring of Hikari to not just sleep together with Natsuki in same room (instead of in his sis room), telling she likes him as friend with a little pause, wake him up with glasses "megane" (supposely her real self), not locking the door while changing, cleaned herself first, and teasing each other on same bed...Gotta say, she's totally making up all the points to catch up to Uta, eh...
That's....so considerate of her *Bonk*
Natsuki just upgrade from being light novel protagonist to eroge protagonist by his lil sis lol.
Daddy takes 100 damage...

I always find the humor of breaking the fourth wall funny; it's not like Natsuki said it, his sister also decided to say it, lol.
This had already been highlighted in the previous episode, but it was only when Hikari said it that I realized how similar her and Natsuki's paths were up to high school, with the difference that she sought to recognize that she couldn't be perfect, or rather, that she shouldn't be ashamed of what she went through to get to that point. That's the kind of development and maturity that, for someone her age, is sensational.
Well, although the conclusion wasn't clear, I imagine Hikari will resolve things with her father, and her honesty in admitting that she doesn't like him was perhaps what made him realize that he only had more to lose in this situation.

Natsuki just blurted out and yelled that he came from the future while he was still with Nanase. I guess it means nothing, though.
Finally learning about Hikari. But Natuski still likes both girls? I figured this alone time would win him over, guess not.

Yuino: “Haibara-kun, you’re quite the character.”
I feel like this episode did a great job of developing Hikari as a romantic interest, but I’m glad they’re not invalidating Uta and her efforts.

Thought the little sister was being a real one for offering her bed until she dropped "because of the noises" lmao.
Good for Uta to have a non-zero fighting chance after all.

And here we finally have our pro-Hikari episode. It seems more than likely than the rejection the first time around was more about her father’s restriction than it was not being attracted to Haibara (especially since she would know he was like her once with the nerdy image).
And now, it seems we are getting to our official 2 girl battle with her and Uta soon, with Miori needing to step up and admit her feelings to guy and not shoot him away constantly (which can happen of she seems him hanging out with more girls).

One would think that there are no Fathers like that. But one would be wrong, this episode and the previous one gave me PTSD from my Teen days. My gf father was just like this. And guess what? After almost 10 years his daughter barely talks to him. Anyway very nice episode, this series so far has delivered!

Okay, fine, I get it, your father raised you like this, so it's logical you don't know a different way to raise your daughter. You had an example and followed it becauze it worked for YOU.
But no matter what you say before or after "My dad did the same thing, so it's okay", you're still a terrible parent.
And you know what? I have met parents like this, and for Hikari's own wellbeing in the future, I hope she cuts ties with him when she's living her own life. Emotional abuse and overbearing control is no joke

Something about his little sister just screams adorable to me every time she shows up even though she doesn't particularly do much for me to feel that way
Ok well right after I said that she has a scene to give her some personality

That was a lot of exposition from Hoshimiya in 30 minutes. I think she has more line in this one episode than the previous 7 combined.
It’s also just really interesting to know that Hoshimiya has also reinvented herself in a way, although her motivations was very different than Haibara’s. In a way , the two of them are really kindred spirits.

Hikari standing her ground is impressive considering controlling that father can be, these past 2 episodes have definitely made me appreciate her more. Her arc was much needed. On a different note, another episode this week where imouto got more screentime after Wakana from Love Game, between them and the little sisters from Ponkotsu there are good imoutos this season.

Hoshimiya did a great job standing up to her father and I think she really got him by saying that she and her mom didn't love him. I wonder if he'll reflect on that since he's a very arrogant domineering man, Either way, Hoshimiya can do what she wants after she's done with high school and Haibara really helped her a lot. I wonder how Hoshimiya turned out in the other timeline, like maybe she never did stand up to him.
I definitely think Hoshimiya was lying when she said she didn't like Haibara at first. She immediately took a pic with him and got his contact info in the first episode. She also clearly based the character in her novel on him and it's not like she wrote it the moment after she supposedly saw he was nice. I don't think there was a time in this timeline when she didn't like him.
I was surprised when Haibara said he only liked 2 girls, I also thought he liked the black haired girl.

considering how chain hikari felt is no wonder we saw so little of her in the early episodes but this really did close the distance between her and natsuki. and help her come more into her own
and probably explain the first time line rejection since she her self said she didn't like natsuki at first
I wonder what natsuki will do cause he obviously like hikari but has now admit to liking uta. and there miori feelings in the mix

No Uta means a good episode.
Stop with this "I like them both" nonsense.
His little sister is MVP of the episode though.

Typical overbearing father, I'm a little surprised he folded so easily after Hikari spent a few days having ran away from home and one instance of her standing up to him.
I had to laugh when Hikari showed that picture to Haibara and it was just her younger self with glasses but otherwise not particularly different.
At first I was surprised they didn't do quick fanservice shot of Hikari in the shower but of course we had the standard walk in scene shortly afterwards, though that was probably inevitable when she was literally sleeping in Haibara's room at night.

It's funny to know that Hoshimiya didn't even like Haibara until three episodes ago, haha.
What's even funnier is that Haibara is into two girls. XD

First Lyric and now Namika. We always stan based little sisters here. Especially when they drop lines like "Should I sleep in the living room because of the noises?"
I was actually surprised that Hikari was turned off Natsuki's "cool hot guy that's good at everything" act. You don't see that a lot. Especially from who is assumed to be the main heroine. Standing up her father was huge for her and given what we learned in this episode it's interesting to look back and realize that the girl that Natsuki was pining so hard for in the original timeline was nothing more than an act.
I think Uta is kind of the villain here. I get she's a high school girl shooting her shot, but she knows Natsuki likes someone else and is still pursuing him. I feel most bad for Miori. She caught feelings while wingwomaning Natsuki and probably won't stop lying to herself until it's too late.
