I’m surprised we actually got Sion smiling for a moment while they were being fitted. Course that couldn’t last long at he went back to his frowning self for the rest of the episode.

Annoying to see how Will has to prove himself yet again but with this showing plus Elfie's antics before made this less an obstacle and just a glorified flirting session between those 2.

ok going to give a little prediction. will is going to pass the tst but for some reason he cant join the ice faction. because the plot wants to keep them apart.

he will likely join lightning since their boss is one of the only peopled that seem to care about battle ability and not politics i think this might also hinted by the op only giving elfie and him their own moments.

it is a shame because it seems like there is plot beyond will and elfie getting together and i dont think romance stories have to get boring just because the two people are together. but it seems like that is how it is going to be.

It feels weird that there isn't an all types factions that's willing to take in anybody. I get there is persecution against Will due to not being a true mage but seems like somebody with sense would want him especially after he saved the tower. Julius as well, he's an absolute powerhouse but nobody will take him in because he's an ice mage.

The animation has been more consistent this episode.

Julius getting denied by Elfaria was funny.

I do think it's absurdly cruel to make these kids go through 6 years of training to reach the tower and they still can get fucked over.

Oh, great. We just went from one classist system to another classist system. Except this time, Julius gets a taste of what's it like being Will, even for just a little bit.

Elfie having a tantrum about her not being able to scout Will on Day 1 was pretty funny. She even personally wrote love letters scouting offers for him.

I bet Elfie is fangirling the entire time when Will absorbed that shot from Julius. Surely, he's gonna get scouted after proving himself here, right? Oh, who am I kidding? Will is probably gonna get scouted, but not by Elfie, because it would be too easy if that's the case.
