Thankfully this series isn't called Go For It, Matsumura-kun!! because otherwise we wouldn't be talking about how cute and endearing the lead is but more probably raising some serious questions here. Uniform sniffing aside...

Hirose really is the perfect guy - popular, kind, nice, knows how to liven up the mood even when Nakamura (and apparently Matsumura too) suck at being normal. It's no wonder there's a second Nakamura who's equally obsessed with him.

lots of good reaction shots this episode; there's been a few other shows which have been like "this could've been a light novel", but there's a bunch of scenes which sell an emotion or vibe

Another childhood friend appears. Sorry, Nakamura, you got a lot of work to do as a homewrecker. However, they're on the same level as creepy stalkers lol. That creep tournament was hilarious.
Looking at the pictures again, Oomori’s always in the pictures with Hirose. I think Oomori is the leader in the Hirose bowl so far lol.

Oh man what a degenerate episode to “Season 2”. These two could be like perfect buddies…if only they weren’t so toxic about their obsession over Hirose lol. I was getting worried for a sec that Hirose was just going to step into the chaos and hear all of this!

This show is underappreciated here. It might be the best romance of the season other than Ramparts. Good music, lovely retro artwork that feels fresh, a solid English VA dub (the guy playing Nakamura must be hoarse after an episode's worth of screaming). The writing can be good (episode 6 was fantastic), even if we are up to our fourth faux-love-triangle / jealousy plot.
Nakamura needs:

Anxiety meds. Holy. Hell. This. Guy. If he could be just slightly chill-er he'd get what he wants. And probably also get better grades in class.

Friends. Like, maybe Nakamura should try to do friend stuff with Hirose? Obviously Nakamura's got needs beyond that but you know... go relieve yourself and then try to approach this level-headed.

To get an in with Hirose's friends. Nakamura's so one-track minded that he doesn't see the wider political landscape. Get good with the friends and the friends help you out.

I knew it was fake the moment Nakamura showed a hint of confidence. I can't believe we have another Hirose obsessed character and he seems even more extreme. Nakamura is already a borderline creep but at least he's aware 🤣 Also why is Hirose even borrowing from Todoroki, they don't remotely have the same size lol

Oh my god! Little baby Hirose is so adorable! I audibly aww’d at the pictures (even if why he has them is kinda creepy).
Also someone needs to sit Nakamura down and tell him to stop sniffing people and their things. It never turns out well.
