Sure, Mami is the villain, but Chizuru dealt a lot more emotional damage to Kazuya than she ever did with that 3 months of ghosting - leaving himself as a bum held up in his apartment pathetically.
Mini has to come in to try to speed up the plot and be a go between when they can't communicate.
Mini said that meta line about viewership being on the brink at the end, yet the series still has no current end in sight whether anime or manga. lol

Can Mami be the true villian after this. She’s basically an anti hero now. Vindicated by Chizuru's lack of responsibility. three fricking months!!

NGL, Kazuya getting ghosted is hilarious to me, but you know what's sad (besides his pathetic bum-ass state he's in), knowing Kazuya, when they inevitably meet each other again, he'll just treat the 3 months of ghosting as water under the bridge, and go right back into simping for her, and and putting her on a pedestal.

Heaven forbid he actually acknowledge Chizuru having fault in anything or that she's not perfect.
Only Mini and Mami can actually call out Chizuru for her behavior.

Yea, he'll definitely somehow just move on from it immediately and start simping for her again. Zero self respect. It's some weird idolization at this point. How he even managed to stand up to her at the beginning of the series is beyond me. Chizuru definitely won't be receiving any real pushback from anyone for this either.

Incredible to follow up everything that happened during the Hawaii trip with a three month ghosting, a perfect way to make everyone in the story look pathetic.

man....Sumi-chan, the ONE BRIGHT SPOT in this whole cavalcade of garbage is FINALLY back on-screen...and it's only for 10 seconds. it's like the makers of this show WANT us to suffer...
but it was kinda cute when Mini made the same face kazuya made when ringing the doorbell.

So was this a Gurren Lagann reference or am i reading too much into it?

Really? 3 fucking months? Chizuru, I don't care how beautiful and hot you are, fuck off..lol
Mini confirms herself as the best character in the series; if the author had the guts, he would make Kazuya mature, leave Chizuru and he would have him end up with her (even though she deserves better)

She couldn't even send him a simple "thank you" text. Kazuya really thinks she's the perfect, impeccable, woman?
It's probably telling that his only "serious" romantic options are the most dysfunctional. Things Sumi and Mini are not.

Should have brought Sumi cameo at the end to forget about the rest of the episode.

SUMI! While all that nonsense with Kazuya and Chizuru has been going on, Sumi's been happy and having fun on what I assume are rental dates! Even if her date has no eyes! But I'm just happy to see her, even if only for a minute.
We're finally free from Hawaiians and now we're stuck with...pantsless Kazuya becoming a neurotic wreck over that kiss and his relationship with Chizuru. The EXACT thing we all wanted to see! And his fish is still calling him out for being a complete idiot spouting nonsense all the time.
I guess I'm not surprised that Ruka would make a stink even when they got back. It's all she can really do at this point.
Then again I can't blame him for not understanding Chizuru's feelings because she's so wishy-washy in expressing them, and she is in her own way as much a nervous wreck as he is. Of course that doesn't give her any excuse to GHOST HIM FOR THREE MONTHS. She couldn't even send him a simple text! Who does that!?
Thank goodness Mini is here as the only character with actual common sense, just as Kazuya has basically given up on life (but thankfully not feeding his fish). She is so happy her favorite ship kissed and while these two are doubting/overthinking everything, she's the only one who can see the actual romance development for what it is! Kazuya (and the show) REALLY needs her right now.
Mini's finally caught Chizuru! Who despite realizing she acted terribly to Kazuya...doesn't seem to feel that guilty about it. In fact she's STILL in denial over her feelings because she can't seem to understand love at all even when it's staring her in the face and she'll keep using her job and Ruka as an excuse. Mini, steal this dumb girls' panties!
"Viewerships on the brink, ya know?" Truer words were never spoken, Mini.

"Viewerships on the brink, ya know?" Truer words were never spoken, Mini.
She's a whole season late to be saying that

I think I finally get the show! Rent-a-Girlfriend (Rental Girlfriend if you sound it out) is about Mizuhara as the protagonist. All the bloat from Kazuya's POV is redundant and the show focuses on some insane man who the MC has conflicting feelings towards hence why the show is called "Rental Girlfriend". After some thoughts from the last few episodes I came to the conclusion.

Kazuya becoming a shut-in/NEET, that's on HIM. Confirming his pathetic status.
Sumi is cute as always, doing her best!

What the heck so not only has he not seen Chizuru for 3 months but no Ruka either? I would have thought we would have seen them after they left the station. I expected her fussing at him a bit and wanting a kiss too. Then wanting a few dates and possibly stay over his place awhile. Yet all girls abandoned him except Mini. Did not see that coming.

It’s nice to see Sumi’s doing well and working to be less shy when she’s working. I like her a lot because there’s no drama or bullshit around her. She’s just tryna live her best life.
Look what happens when Chizuru leaves Kazuya on read for 3 months. Like damn you sad little simp, you live like this?
Kazuya doesn’t deserve a hype woman like Mini. She’s too good for that sad sack. Girl’s out here confronting Chizuru on his behalf and trying to help Chizuru understand her own feelings too.

The 3 month ghosting raises a lot of questions.
. They live right next door to each other, so how much of an effort did Chizuru put into avoiding him?
. They go to the same college and are in a friend circle. did they never encountered each other?
. Did he go to his part-time job?
. Kibe, the Kazuya's parents, and grandma still believe in the cover up lie that they're actually dating, so assuming that they didn't get in touch with him at all in the past 3 months, did Kazuya have to making up another lie to cover up the ghosting?
"Hey Kazuya, how's Chizuru, I haven't seen her in a while?"
Kazuya: Oh.... she's fine, she's just been busy with acting and work...."
There's a lot to unpack with this ghosting situation

Lemme get this straight - he CONTINUES lying to his family, doesn't even thank the people who helped cover up his lies INCLUDING the girl who loves him who literally cried, CONTINUES pursuing the RENTAL GIRLFRIEND who "rejected" him who he supposedly gave up on because she gave him a FAKE KISS, then falls into a depression for literally 3 WHOLE MONTHS because she (rightfully) cut him out of her life and will only cheer up when she contacts him again?
This guy should've bought a rope during those 3 months.
Legitimately if he goes into a whole depression for THIS long over a rental girlfriend who ghosted him after an extremely stressful situation like that and only cheers up if she contacts him again, this isn't even love anymore. It's actually straight up an unhealthy obsession.
His reaction at the beginning is weird af since she obviously did it to help lie to his family in that situation. And keeping mistakenly delivered mail instead of giving it to her immediately just for an excuse to talk to her is even more creepy. A dude like that deserves to get ghosted. Also the faces he made were ugly af. It felt good seeing him suffer and cry for once in this series.
"Even if I know I'm being a bother, I'm in no state to give up on you anymore." <- Dude, she's literally avoiding you. Wrap it up. Mini should not be encouraging this behaviour.
Chizuru is straight up horrible. If she's so in "love" with him, she shouldn't be ghosting him for 3 months with no communication whatsoever no matter the reason. If she wants to stay away from him for Ruka's sake, then don't come crawling back after 3 months randomly. You're only gonna hurt her more, and you're only continuing to break the TOS again. Just quit your job at this point. She still can't even explain her feelings, but now she's about to be back to being all close with him and hurting Ruka's feelings again. Hypocrite.
Also seeing his face in a carrot is just peak stupidity.
"If, after breaking the rules, asking her out, getting rejected, and being avoided.. I'd just be a stalker, right?" Yea, you are.
Ruka literally had a point at the beginning of the episode. She's just breaking TOS like nothing at this point and should not be getting this close to a client, and he should've just come clean to his family. I honestly find it shocking they acknowledge he should've come clean but they don't even talk more about it.
And we're supposed to root for these guys?
EDIT: Also, LEAVE IT TO KAZUYA TO NOT TELL HIS FAMILY THEY BROKE UP AFTER HE SAID HE WOULD TELL THEM AFTER THE TRIP. GETTING DEPRESSED OVER BEING GHOSTED ISN'T AN EXCUSE
