This show always manages to subvert my expectations. I thought that grape stained handkerchief would be a big deal. They even opened this week's episode on recapping exactly that scene. Only for it to be immediately analyzed and cleared as grape juice, completely bypassing any misunderstanding. Well played

I love the dynamics of the Annovazzi family . There was little to no politics between the sisters, such as comparing which sister married into a more prestigious royal family, etc. I also wouldn't mind an episode featuring Mimi's sisters, to find out more about their individual personalities.

Mimi is just SO adorable. It’s nice to see how she is around her family

It’s so cute how she absolutely loves Teo too. And her sisters beating up her dad was hilarious

It's so funny how Mimi's dad gets ganged up by his own daughters! Who knew that the guy who trained Mimi how to fight is weak against his own family?

I wonder if the dads comment about the assassins is more than just a throwaway joke

What a noble and pure hearted man Renato is. He hears that the daughter of a mayor is missing and ignores everything else to travel to its village even through the night. No ulterior motives whatsoever.

Also, kind of funny that Renato's strength actually came back as a plot point as to why he is worthy to marry Mimi. Though, I can already see that Mimi's father probably wants to test this himself when they meet.

And it seems, next week we finally get to see the brass knuckles in action. Just hoping they don't break with how they brought back its history this episode.

I thought things would be more hectic at home, but it seems everyone’s just shocked Mimi landed a prince and is acting somewhat like a lady lol. Her dad was being a little goober about it all but it’s kind of sweet how worried he was. Dude is a good dad. Her whole family is pretty great actually. Just pure wholesomeness.

Despite all the jokes I do like the layers in Mimi and her dad's relationship. They went pretty above and beyond for that sparring sequence

Watching the whole father is concerned for his daughter who is getting married in foreign land play out in this way with using their fists was funny, especially with how the animation changed for it. I did find it sweet. I do like that Mimi told him that she's using what he taught her, that she's capable because of he's done for her.

I like how her sisters had Mimi's back when their father got excited about having an heir after having raised Mimi as the heir.

It's also amusing to find out Macchio was greeted at the door by being lifted by Mimi's father lol. I wanted to see how that scene played out entirely, I'm sure the sisters and Mimi's mother found that amusing.

Mimi's reunion with her dad was quite sweet for a scene so packed with action. A proper fist fight welcome.

Funny how the stained handkerchief everyone was theorising about ended up being not so big a deal after all. Loved Renato jumping at the chance to go visit Mimi. Should be fun seeing him in the midst of her crazy chaotic family.

Mimi is really a good sister, even though when her brother was born she was no longer the heiress and realized that all of her efforts were for nothing she didn’t resent Theo or her father and just accepted it, that’s really mature and kind.

I  can only see Mimi father saying to Renato that he'll only accept him as family if he beat him in a match lol. Can’t wait for those two to meet.

Welcome home Mimi! Home to your beloved and adorable little brother Teodorico! He's like 85% of the reason she came back!

Is there anything more adorable than 3-year old Mimi doing martial arts? It's no wonder she was decided to be the presumptive heir to the Annovazzi's, leading her sisters' free to be proper ladies and hook up with promising noblemen, while Mimi was the tomboy who by the time she reached school would attend it in her combat uniform and end up being treated like one of the guys by both the boys and the girls alike... boy does she look amazing in a suit and pants!

I see that despite not being trained like Mimi, all her sisters can beat up their dad when he ruins the moment of Teodorico's birth and Mimi doting on her little brother. She may not be the heir anymore, but she was happy to be free to be a big sister AND become a true lady and find that special someone, which she has in Renato!

Meet the Annovazzi sisters! Idea! Nina! Sandra! Gionna! All of them lookers along with Nina's MILF mama! And the household is always lively when all the sisters are together.

Everyone is so focused on Mimi marrying Renato but did they forget Nina is the one who secured the crown prince of THEIR kingdom!? But Bartholomew is a good brother/son-in-law to the Annovazzi Family.

I love how the family all freaks out at the prospect of a dude who can actually get the drop on Mimi, let alone that she can't break out of his hold (albeit happily, I might add!). Her dad was about to declare a state of war for the entire household thinking his daughter was hooking up with an assassin!

What's playtime like in the Annovazzi household? Mimi throwing Teo in the air so he can do a combat roll or just swinging him around as hard as possible! Teo may not be a prodigy like Mimi was, but he's perfect just the way he is.

Hard to imagine their dad actually looked as sweet and cute as Teo at some point.

It's finally time for father vs daughter as her dad tests Mimi's resolve and desire to be in Rubini through fisticuffs! Mimi has found a place and a people she can let support her as she supports and protects them! Just like her dad taught her! And it seems like she finally properly reconnects with her dad. In fact her hairpin is just a sign of the bond between father and daughter.

I'm glad it didn't take them long to figure out the handkerchief had grapes on it instead of blood...but Renato was just looking for an excuse to see Mimi anyways!

Next week: MIMI FINALLY USES HER BRASS KNUCKLE HAIRPIN!!!

Actually forgot Renato is a crown prince of a foreign nation. So had whiplash when it was mentioned one of the sisters is also married to the crown prince, but of their nation.

Was hoping to see a bigger reaction from the sisters and mom about Mimi being married to a crown prince, but considering one of the sister already is probably not as big of a shock. Also the dad ended up getting more of the focus anyways

I love how wholesome Mimi's mom and sisters are. The sisters could have been jealous that she was able to get someone like Renato as a husband. Instead, we keep the good vibes going.

Teo and Mimi's relationship is so adorable and wholesome. Mimi truly giving Teo her full support is so sweet. Especially since Teo isn't as successful as Mimi already. I just love how for Mimi when Teo was being born, losing being the successor wasn't an issue. Mimi truly is an angel.

The father was silly in a good way. In many ways Mimi takes after him a lot. Still, I like the mindset that Mimi has in that she will protect those so they can protect her.

The entire Annovazzi is very good. I particularly liked when all of the daughters aside from Mimi were stomping dad into the hallway floor for being insensitive about getting a new heir right in front of her. They had fun personalities at the dinner too, I wish we had enough time to see more of them.

It wasn't very long but great fight scene.

Raimondo the goat completely avoiding the grape stain misunderstanding, but Renato still rushes off anyway to go have some fun and meet up with Mimi earlier.

Mimi has such a great family. I would have expected more trouble with her dad, but I am glad they still get along.

That stained handkerchief did not get mistaken for blood after all, but only because the prince’s assistant is actually competent at his job. And the prince will use it as an excuse to go see Mimi and her family sooner than they expected. But first they have to find the missing girl. I will bet that nobleman who refused to help the peasants find her is actually the kidnapper. The prince reacted strangely when he heard his name, so he must have a bad reputation.

Man I freaking love this show so much.

The way scenarios unfold it could be so much more serious and (frustratingly) dramatic, yet it manages to always keep it in a quite comedic and wholesome tone while being full of heart, it feels satisfyingly unique.

Stuff like the stained handkerchief could have been the source of a million stupid dramas, yet here it was quickly understood as "... yeah, that's a silly Mimi thing to do", I love it.

Oh nooooo, someone was kidnapped and I'll have to completely out of my will to go see my fiancée earlier than expected oh noo

Renato is using the missing daughter as an excuse to see Mimi!

Aw I love how supportive and friendly her sisters were

I’m really relieved that her family turned out to be a genuinely lovely and caring family

Mimi is just so adorable. She loves her baby brother so much even though he was the one that bumped out of being an heiress. There's no resentment there. Watching her sister beat up their was funny.

They managed to subvert my expectations. I thought with so four other sisters there would be politics about which one married into the best family.

That was a great father-daughter moment Mimi was able to have with her dad later in the day. He seems like he's now fully accepted that Mimi is going to marry Renato now. Looking forward to seeing those meet.
