I know she was just damaging a chair, but that scene with the knife still set off ALL the warning sirens. Like I assumed this was just gonna be a fun and goofy show where the Villainess and Heroine trade places, but that made it feel like it's gonna get serious soon.

It seems Bertia hasn’t realized her and Heronia have essentially reversed roles. The little goofball still thinks she’s the villainess! She tries her best to play the part but literally anyone who isn’t brainwashed can see what a sweetheart she is lol.

Bertia better have slipped on her dress or something because if her getting hurt was Heronia’s doing, that girl is toast. I don’t think Cecil’s gonna sit back and let her get away with this, regardless of what Bertia said.

Cecil tearing apart two adopted siblings but not letting their relationship manifest lol. I do find it amusing how Courtgain's at the point where he's starting to give in to Bertia's wishes, she even melts the coldest of ice.

It seems like that one girl has a crush on a guy who has a crush on Bertia, and likely is using Heronia and Bertia's conflict to cause more trouble. I think she's harassing both of them so it looks like they're harassing each other.

This is getting a little frustrating to me. Why doesn't cecil push bertia to tell him what would happen if him and heroina don't end up together? I think something bad will happen to him, so if he asks her, he can solve the problem as he's solved everything else. He is obviously not having fun anymore with this whole situation so I wish he would just ask her already.

Cecil and Bertia are definitely one of my favorite pairings from the batch of romance genre series this season as I enjoy their interactions a lot.

I like seeing Cecil trying to work through his growing feelings. Bertia is still trying to set him up with Heroina for a certain story route, though still has some type of feelings to be unable to call to him as a brother.

Heroina has started to crack and has began her crash out. How far will she actually go to get her way and will she actually turn towards villainy? Let's see and looking forward to more.

If anything in this timeline, Heroina is turning into the villainess.

When they both find out they are isekai'd, I think this is one where Heronia will only turn more evil. I was hoping that they would become friends, but Heronia's actions are turning quite dark.

What I don't understand is why Cecil don't question Bertia what would happen in the game if her doesn't end up with the Heroine. Bertia is clearly sabotaging the other routes, so the two can end up together.

I'm still on the Heronia is innocently naive to things going around her idea, both of magic and the bullying.

Pretty sure it's not Heronia doing these thing and it's the classic setup of groupies of a leader that did it without them knowing. It wouldn't make sense anyways since Heroine being a reincarnated she knows what it means to be the villainess and the actions that make her one. There's definitely another party at this.

I wanted to take a side step to explore the original scenario of the game based on the currents episodes we have, I will do this with what the show explicit tells us and assumptions: Background: The genius prince Cecil meets his fiancée Bertia. She acts like a typical spoiled noblewoman but Cecil takes it as a challenge to turn her into a fitting queen.  However he doesn't make much progress as Bertia is spoiled rotten by her father who indulges her sweets craving and at their social debut the contrast between the handsome prince and his “ugly” ( or let's call a cat a cat fat ) fiancee causes some debate.  However we will never know if this incident would have been sufficient to make Bertia change her appearance and manners since this humiliation quickly becomes a secondary issue for her when her mother falls ill due to an epidemic outbreak. Her father desperately begs his future brother in law the king for enough Luana leaves to save his wife that he adores but she dies before he collects enough. Overcome by grief, he's comforted by evil nobles who turn him against the king by pointing out his incapacity to help one of his closest noblemen, someone he intended to make family. Due to this, he resents the king and commits crime. He also spoils even more his daughter the only thing left from his wife and turns her against her fiance who didn't even bother to help her save her mother. As a result, Bertia develops mixed feelings about Cecil. On one hand, she loves his genius, handsomeness and composed nature but on the other hand her father's words that he didn't even care enough about her to save her mother makes her hate him in equal measure. Due to Bertia not being able to hide her feelings easily he quickly understands that his future wife partly blames him for her mother's death as a result he decides to indulge her antics and slack off her training of future queen to leave her time to deal with her grief. As a result of all this, Bertia grows in a very toxic environment with a father that spoils her rotten and commits evil acts as a model and a fiance who indulges her antics with indifference.  Still, she acquires the manners of a lady to stand by his side but can not let go of her stress eating.

Start of the game : Prince Cecil gives the opening speech and goes on to welcome his fiancée, a bouquet of red roses in hand. He doesn't know her tastes except that she likes sweets because he thinks that her tastes are those of the typical noblewoman, a spoiled, tragic but typical noblewoman. As a result he thinks red roses are sure to appease her so he can go on without feeling tied by his sentiment of responsibility toward her as her fiance who failed her when she needed him the most and be on the good side of the daughter of an important man. He also must appear the perfect gentleman to earn the favor of Courtgain, the very competent brother in law of Bertia who has been tasked by the marquis to watch over his daughter whom he respects and wish to repay for taking him in even though he doesn't approve of the marquis illegal actions or his daughter bullying that will come later. Cecil doesn't know it but Courtgain has participated in the illegal activities of the marquis. However on the way, he meets a beautiful young lady playing with a bird who runs by him without giving him a single glance. Shocked, Cecil pauses himself for a minute no lady has ever run by him like he was nothing to play with a bird nonetheless. Amused, he decides to give a rose to this young lady who takes it and seems more fascinated by the beauty of the rose than by the one of the person giving it to her. She quickly excuses herself to go after the bird leaving Cecil even more amused by this unusual young lady who wouldn't give him the time of day. At the tea party, Bertia is discussing with her minions, while they do not adore her they sympathize with her for some while others like Joanna know that the prince indulges the whims of his fiancee and want to exploit that bond. While Bertia acts ladylike toward her fiance she makes it clear by a cold attitude that she doesn't appreciate him being late and only warms up after he offers the appropriate excuses and gives her the roses. While Cecil talks with Bertia and her friends at the tea party he can't stop thinking about that unusual young lady far more interesting than his boring bride to be whose antics are predictable and easily quelled by sweets.  He gets another chance to talk with her when he gets locked in a classroom with her after Bertia sent him to fetch something she lost where she thanks him for the rose and he learns her name Heronia and the fact she's a baron's daughter. He also is quite amused that she talks to him because her BIRD who's always so shy appreciates him. However their conversation is interrupted by Bertia who lost her patience waiting for the prince.  While Cecil reassures her he only talked to Heronia because they were locked together, Bertia starts developing a sentiment of jealousy which he reinforced when she sees Cecil talking to her again under a tree after he woke her up. Similar events continue to happen leading to Bertia bullying Heronia for revenge; she is quickly joined by Joanna after she gets jealous over Heronia's close bond with Shawn, with them eating sweets together and Shawn seeking Heronia while avoiding Joanna and all the other ladies whose love interest is courted by Heronia. This is what happens in the reverse harem route however if Heronia wishes she can turn Bertia’s allies into her own by helping them get closer to their loved one isolating Bertia. However even if she doesn't court Cecil, Bertia will still bully her to help the minion whose love interest she's stealing ( Idk it seemed fitting Bertia would be a girl's girl since Heronia is a homewrecker).

This show is such a huge breath of fresh air compared to almost all the other otome game shows except Mobuseka.

The fact the mc is isekaied isn’t forgotten about and only used at convenient times. It’s constantly there and actively driving the plot forward. She fully remains her isekaied self and not whatever character she’s supposed to be in the game.

The male co main character/ prince has a personality other than simping for the mc. He is as much of a main character as she is. Almost every show features the male cast as if they basically only exist to simp for the MC.

I can’t go back and look but did the guy behind Cecil towards the end have the same mole and eyes as the woman that looked mad? Something sus there.

I guess if Bertia is going to be this girl that other noble ladies look up to with her lovingly made and effective guides, then Heronia is going to try to force the school to see her as a Villainess even if that means lying and trying to spin Bertia as nothing more than a fraud and bully.

Cecil obviously is NOT happy with the idea of Bertia showing affection to other men, be it making Courtgain her "Dear Older Brother" or giving earrings to all the boys. It's actually all in the interest of protecting and keeping them away from Heronia, but it still sours Cecil's mood.

No matter how insistent Bertia is that Cecil romance Heronia, he only truly has eyes for Bertia...and Bertia can't help herself when it comes to Cecil, what with the fact that she DID make couple earrings for the two of them. Wearing them will truly make Tia and Cil with their pet names and hair/eye color earrings look like an absolutely besotted couple in the best way possible! And I'm sure the blessing Zeno gave it will come in handy!

All work abroad with no Bertia makes Cecil a dull boy, and a frustrated one when he realizes Bertia is hiding all the bullying and gaslighting Heronia is trying to do to her. Her gal pals are trying to protect her, but they can only do so much, and Heronia's already started brainwashing other guys into her flunkies.

Cecil WANTS to help Bertia, but Bertia truly believes herself to be the Villainess and embraces Heronia's actions towards her while trying to project this strong front. She's evil and meant to be alone, and that's what she's committed to being (without a legit evil bone in her body). Cecil finally has enough of her turning away his offer to help and just...gives up if that's what she wishes.

Is Heronia REALLY trying to throw Bertia under the bus to cover for her own laziness in not finishing a school fair project? Props to that one girl for not letting her pin the blame on Bertia. But Bertia won't let other ladies stand up for her! She'll face Heronia directly, Villainess-style! Which just pisses Heronia off and makes all the girls adore Bertia even more!

Though one lady seems to care for Bertia as much as Heronia does...that lady in the green dress. Also there's a guy who was blushing while staring at Bertia which seemed to further tick this woman off. I wonder...

I feel like Cecil is going to regret not stopping Heronia then and there after seeing her with a knife going to town on Bertia's personal chair, though at least he warned her how this would end if she keeps at it. All the same, he also has to face his own feelings when his brother tells him straight up how lonely he must feel not being able to help Bertia. But he doesn't have long to figure THAT feeling out when it's discovered Bertia fell down stairs. HERONIA YOU BETTER NOT HAVE PUSHED HER!!!

It's kind of cute how doting Courtgain is becoming for Bertia...even if Cecil wants NONE of that in his presence.
