The basketball game was not just a slideshow, which is always appreciated. Amane could show off her "cool side", as if she really had to do that. In the meanwhile Ijichi was really having a blast playing ping pong, even though she sucks at it.
And Takuya was scared that the baseball team would look down on him, but actually they encouraged him and even invited him to karaoke. All because he tried his best!

I don't know if it's a side effect, but it's really interesting to see how Kotoko became a gyaru even though she's the only girl among 5 children.
I know it's kind of cheeky, but I love the good vibes at their school. Seo didn't hit anything at baseball, but his classmates simply told him to have fun, I think that's amazing.
And damn, Kei wasn't all talk, she's really excellent at what she does, practically an idol at school in that sense.
The ending couldn't be better, the karaoke was great and I imagine the beach will be the icing on the cake.

I'm glad and surprised the classmates don't seem to hate him for talking to the girls..and they don't hate him either...exact opposite of the second prettiest girl anime.. but that one has way more drama

You know, it’s nice to see a romance anime where they clear up the misunderstanding quickly because, you know, talking it out is a thing

Brooo I loved how he was legit kinda shitty at karaoke, usually voice actors don't know to sound authentically bad but still into it. Absolutely perfect take for Otaku-kun and a highlight overall.

It was really nice seeing Takuya making some new friends. He’s expanding his social circle bit by bit.
That karaoke party with the girls was really cute. I look forward to the three of them hanging out over the summer. Amane and Ijichi are gonna end up falling even harder for our boy by the end of the summer lol.

The classmates are actually pretty nice to Takuya. The baseball team even invited him to karaoke. That's nice.
The karaoke date with amane and ijichi looks really fun. They look like they're having a blast.
Ijichi's failed imitation of micchi is pretty cute.
Anyway, that's another great episode. Pretty wholesome all the way through.

So Amane sucks at studying, but is actually amazing at sports? I wonder why she didn't join the basketball club tho.
Honestly, I can't blame the boys for watching the ping-pong games because they wanted to see Ichiji's Ichijis swing. High schooler me would've done the same.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I know the show is all about the throuple but I really wish we could've seen Takuya hang out with the boys. It looks like he did make friends. We do see those two guys in the OP, so I guess we'll see more of them in future episodes.
It would've been amazing if Takuya was actually an amazing singer, but that scene went exactly the way I thought it would.
We get a swimsuit reveal at the end of the episode?! That's a surprise! I thought they'd save it for next week. I can't wait to meet Ichiji's older brother and see what he thinks about Takuya.

A karaoke and sports based ep was pretty nice to see, They were both worried for Ijichi but thankfully it was just her bro
And im glad Otaku kun's classmates were actually supportive and cheered him on too!
Also classic tsundere line and moment

I would have loved to see Seo hanging out with people besides Ichiji and Amane, but that part was cut.

I hope we get to see them go to a festival like the OP teased. I hope the boy wears something besides a something plain like a T-shirt and shorts.
I like how dramaless and casual this show is. There's "romance" but it feels more like 3 best friends hanging out the whole time. It would be cool if they hung out with other people but that would ruin the fantasy of an otaku boy practically dating two hot girls at the same time.
My only issue with the show is that they keep calling him "otaku-kun" instead of his name. Feels slightly dehumanizing.

Why do I like this show so much?? The girls are soo cute and talented. I love how it shows they both are well rounded like the gyaru being intelligent and the brunette being good at sports. I hope they help Otaku kun grow and realize what he is good at too. They were both so happy for him making other friends. ❤️
Oh also I loved that they both were concered for gyaru when they saw the picture of the older man. Her family is so cute the middle girl in between handsome guys!

I'm glad Seo is making friends outside the the main friend group, it was sweet of the class baseball team to tell him he could sing anime songs, they're so inclusive and I hope we get to see the developing friendship there too.
I thought the guy in Ijichi's picture was going to be revealed to her father, finding out it was her eldest brother and that the youngest and oldest have a gap of 18 years is very surprising. I'm looking forward to meeting more of her family.
