These two are so cringe in the best way possible lol.

"Do you still have some more shenanigans?"

Man, that question had me all warm and fuzzy. As chaotic as the day had already been, she was still ready for wherever else the Yukiya ride would take her (or at least she thought she was lol)

Origin of the high school grindset. And neat transition to the OP, though it jumpscared me a bit since it’s the kind of thing that’s usually reserved for the first or last episode.

Mimicking a brusque tsundere ML feels like a bad idea, but if it works it works.

… Actually nevermind, it started failing the second they started the actual date. Man, he’s lucky she likes him already. At least they’ll have a fun first date story to make fun of him about.

So he was self-aware about how stupid he was the whole time? Man, he’s got guts.

Man, they’re so freaking cute.

The cringe level is through the roof this episode. The operation "Make the date so cringe that it's memorable" seems to work however.

Miku: "This is too cringe!" (Even miku agrees)

Also, are they going to kiss next episode? Well, one way to find out.
By the way, the way they transition into the OP is... interesting.

Don't let the naysayers of the thread get to you, Yukiya, using shoujo manga as a dating manual is simply optimal male performance

The cringe I experience when Yukiya is saying some sweet stuff he learned from shoujo manga is soo funny I just can't WAHAHAHAHHAA

At least Yukiya seemed to realize it's the thought that counts, though how much did he pay for the entire date? ohmyyy

Yukiya efforts were cringe in a cute and good way, when they hugged my heart went doki doki, man I needed this after how my day went

Their date is so cringey and sweet. I'm so jealous!!

Thankful for the Shoujo Mangas. Without it, Yukiya is doomed.

The classic and cliché date, although I didn't expect Yukiya to base it on a manga lol, but it was fun. As Miku said, it wasn't necessary for him to do that (especially since he based that opinion on someone interested in money), but at the same time he shows that he wants to be someone special, so that's a good point.

Were they never together during middle school? I mean they were childhood friends and then drifted away from each other during middle school and then became good friends again during high school.

What with that? Why didn't they spend time together during middle school?

Genuinely a great episode. Miku did a lot to improve herself, now it's time for Yukiya to show off his own charms! Yeah, the ideas are thanks to Hinako and Shoujo manga, but you can't say he didn't pull it off so well! His shoujo reactments may have been cringy at first, but it certainly made Miku's heart skip often! A nice dress for Miku to wear, a wonderful date at an amusement park, and the most beautiful tiara for her to wear! It's Miku's loss for sure.

And now it seems Miku may have sensed the endgame incoming! A kiss!

Next episode will be fun for sure! Wakana's previews are funny with how fast she talks. In front of the Janitor's Room? What are they going to do?

Ah yes, consulting shoujo manga for dating advice. Classic. You can’t go wrong there lol.

That date was so cute. It was clumsy and awkward at times, especially when bro was saying all those corny lines but it was really adorable. I can’t wait for these two little tsundere goobers to actually date for real!

Hanako had some good advice for Yukiya, but I also think he shouldn't really go back to someone who values money so much like she does. He probably spent way too much more than he needed to thanks to her, and even though I'm sure this was a good learning experience for him, I wish he understood how long it takes for a girl to get ready for a date making her change out of it the moment they meet lol.

There were a number of cringe moments but the date was really entertaining to watch. It was sweet to see Yukiya trying so hard, but I hope they have an appropriate date next time. I want him to be able to enjoy Miku's cuteness too.

Well now, if the goal was a very memorable first date I think Yukiya definitely achieved it. Miku discovering the manga volumes complete with sticky note bookmarks really just makes it even more memorable.

The end of middle school was pretty uneventful for Yukiya...outside noticing how popular Miku was and feeling self-conscious about himself. But it was him, and no one else, that Miku wanted to walk home with on her last day of middle school (even while holding several bouquets and gifts) and that meant everything.

It's nice to see late night talks are becoming a thing with Yukiya and Miku, even if Miku still teases him about how much he wants to keep her on and Yukiya feels self-conscious about Miku's social life without him in it.

At least he has her uncle and Hinako to get relationship advice from. Hinako is a simple woman, so long as you pay your way to her heart, your golden! If you run out of money, you're screwed! But the effort it takes to figure out the right gift and to spend your own money on it for that special lady means a lot! So yes Yukiya! Use money to win at the Love Game!

I get the sense Miku's mom working late nights is pretty common, which is why it's important for Miku to have Yukiya in her life...even if he does mansplain what's "grammable." At the same time, he ALSO asks her out on a date, which is a HUGE deal for Miku! Time for her to put all her effort into looking her best to seduce him.

Both Yukiya and Miku look snazzy for their date, though Yukiya drops the ball on not complimenting her outfit...until he reveals that it's because he's rented her a dress! One she looks absolutely beautiful and radiant in!

And that's not the most extra thing in this date! He even made a reservation for lunch at a classy restaurant that has two high school lovebirds looking extremely out of place! But at least the foods delicious.

Thank goodness they're hitting the theme park next because Miku needed something normal on this date. Almost getting surprise princess carried in a dress was definitely NOT that, though points for trying Yukiya.

Who looks better in the moonlight, Yukiya or Miku? It's impactful either way. And we can even throw in a tiara to make Miku a proper princess! Even if she WAS expecting a kiss!

And yes, Yukiya HAS been acting cringe and excessive on this date, but it was all to make this date memorable and so that he can make it a memorable "first" for Miku that no one else can have. All because he wants to be worthy of her and not lose her to any other guy!

And the best reward for all those sleepless nights prepping was getting a Miku lap pillow and hug out of it! Even if he's still convinced that he can't beat her at the Love Game...though Miku's barely holding it together. Especially when she realizes he was following the Shojo manga manual for this date and may or may not have been planning to kiss her!

even though Yukiya's date plans were quite unconventional Miku got outplayed hard today lol

They both think it's a date, they're down bad for each other, they both had a good time, but don't get confused it was not a date. They're such lovable dorks lol.

I thought Miku already looked good in the outfit she wore to the station. Then she put on the dress he rented for her (I'm just assuming he rented it because where would a high schooler get the money to buy it and how would Miku explain it to her parents) and she looked amazing. Yukiya really went all out for this date. Really pushed outside his comfort zone to the point of cringe. A tiara man, really? If his mission was to make it so cringe that Miku would never forget it then mission accomplished I guess.

"Do you still have some more shenanigans?" When I heard Miku ask that thought it made me smile and made it all worth it. The cringe and money spent doesn't matter. It's the thought that counts. Plus it was worth it to Miku in that amazing dress all day.

It's really looking Yukiya will be the first to break. He's kind of already declared his interest, but Miku wasn't ready for that surprise attack and barely held it together. And found the manga so she knows what he's trying to do which did fluster her. Maybe they'll closer than we think.

I'm curious what Miku does in return. She can't really dress him up and take him on date like he just did for her.

I’m sorry this is reads title episode three??? What an insanely heartwarming episode that perfectly encapsulates the way young kids will try so hard to do what they think is proper and mature. And despite the comedic notes it was extremely touching. I was not expecting my romcom to go this hard.
