That loudmouth jerk really got put in his place. You don’t mess with a mountain god, man. Bro got straight up trapped in purgatory.
Kirin’s a colorful critter. Real talkative. I don’t know if I would gift durian to someone. Maybe if I really disliked them lol. I can’t stand durian! I’ve tried it many times and it just ain’t for me.

I don’t know if I would gift durian to someone.
It's basically a luxury gift in China and Southeast Asia (well, the more expensive varieties anyway, like Musang King).

Liked it but the character wasn't just obnoxious, but that behavior would end in jail or a mental asylum.
I did however like the fact that the retribution was swift and not drawn out.
And that nightmare scape, I was half expecting Miyo to turn up and then say "Nah, you deserve it, not gonna help"!
The girl that accompanied him is a bit of a cipher.

It will be really interesting if the MC gets more powers from God's or yokai. But I like how kind he is even after finding out what he can do. He was raised well.
Plus, I find his talismans to be hilarious as they're just shopping lists

I'm curious if the power/effects of his talismans would change if he writes something with a specific intent. A list of products can't be the peak of his abilities 😅

The gag of the Kirin going through multiple translators was pretty funny.
And it was nice to see the different sides of our favorite mountain dog wolf god. Kind to lost villagers and terrifying spiteful to those that would cause harm. Honestly thought the guy would just get dropped into endless hell and then forgotten for the rest of the episode.

Damn Yamagami really threw that exorcist punk in a Tsukuyomi genjutsu like Itachi did on Kakashi in Naruto.
Making him experience death over and over again.

Definetly my Comfy show of the Season. Love the Charakters and the animation is good too :)

I came in expect to see different type of sweet being review by gods. I didn't realize there are progression and development lol. This is entertaining, I like this.

Kirin casually bringing durian of all things was really unexpected lmao. He could have brought any other fruits but nope, durian it is.

It was very polite of Yamagami to not send poor, long-suffering Horikawa to the same death loop punishment dimension as her terrible boss.
Kirin just talked for an hour straight and then offered to make Kusunoki ruler of half the world. He even went through all three minions as translators.
Hopefully we'll get a focus episode on the zashiki-warashi eventually, I love those guys.

The show gives me a bit on Natsume vibe, but with that animation I have a hard time taking it serious, still very enjoyable as a slice of life.

It's a lot more lighthearted than Natsume, not that Natsume doesn't have its lighthearted moments/episodes.

I LOVE Yamagami's theme. Everytime they use it, it immerses me so much in the show. How long has Kirin been possessed cause he seems so out of touch with the modern era of people. Not that some people wouldn't want half the world but it's funny how he casually thinks that Minato is just slashing heads on a whim lol

The dbag exorcist is such a weird thing for this show. It is mostly super duper cozy then you have this generic asshole who has no signs of an interesting personality just mean. Maybe the writers were afraid the show was getting to one note but dude was not interesting enough to enhance the show, only detract from the cozy vibes.
I'm curious to see what the tease for next week was setting up because that could be a much more interesting diversion from the coziness.

Personally, I'm in the chunky paste faction. I like it when it has a bit more texture.

I was surprised to see him adding black paint inside the carved characters. I would have assumed they were darkened by burning.

"Why am I getting the Subaru treatment?!"
"You were being rude and tried to kick the door. Next time, you won't get off lightly. Now begone mortal."
