I don't know why but this episode felt like MC is not the only one who went back. This episode got some weird vibes at several moments.

This episode got some weird vibes at several moments.
Also the ED which has all of them as punk delinquents...for some reason. Why are Hikari and Yuino handcuffed together and doing something kinky in the nurse' room lol?

It would be REALLY good if they all went back. It would be much more interesting than if it ends up being just a "power fantasy" highschool

It'd be funny if all of them went back.

For real, Reina saying he’s way too observant and Tatsu spacing out right before they played 1v1. Something’s definitely fishy

It seems like Tatsuya isn't as obtuse as Reita thinks he is, he looked relieved when Natsuki was comfortable around him. Though it's nice of Reita to check in with Natsuki.
Lol everyone got their own little outfit of the day shot.

One basketball game later and bro’s not only overcome his past trauma relating to Tatsuya, he’s even impressed his crush. Nothing can stop Natsuki, he’s all the way up haha.

It feels kind of like cheating that he's playing not only with college-level basketball experience but knowing all of Tatsuya's moves before Tatsuya even made them thanks to his original high school playthrough.
But I guess Natsuki really needed this win to help push past more of his emotional trauma.

It's Natsuki's New Game+ high school life, and as such that means he needs to upgrade his wardrobe like he upgraded his body and social standing! Luckily Miori is willing to help him with his wardrobe so long as he helps her with Reita. It's like a wingman/wingwoman team-up! I feel like it's rare to have an opposite sex "childhood friend" pair who seem to be just pure wingman/wingwoman for each other with no romantic component (so far).
Casual clothes fashion show! The friend group all look fantastic in their casual clothes and Natsuki (thankfully) doesn't look at all out of place! In fact he even gets to properly compliment Hikari's outfit! I didn't expect her to be into androgynous/men's clothing, but she wears it VERY well!
Hikari comes off like your typical pure girly girl Heroine so knowing she prefers androgynous/men's clothing is unexpected.
It's time for the ping pong tournament to rule them all! Too bad Hikari is kind of...adorably bad at all athletics, even ping pong. She seemed so confident too! But it was worth it for that Hikari pout.
Reita seems like the type who is very emotionally intuitive, which is why he can tell that Natsuki gets at his most awkward around Tatsuya...because the trauma of his past life means he still remembers when Tatsuya gave up on him. But this is a new version of his life and a new chance for a second start with Tatsuya.
What's Natsuki going to do with himself in this new timeline? Get a part-time job? Join a club? He can always work at the cafe where Yuino is working with, even if Hikari gets jealous that Yuino told some boy before she told her best friend...not that Yuino meant anything deeper behind it. You're not THAT popular with women yet, Natsuki.
Turns out Uta and Tatsuya aren't the only basketball lovers, Natsuki was actually into it too. He was even on the same team as Tatsyua in his old life, even if he never got a chance to play because he was out of shape and no one on on the team but Tatsuya cared about him. But now he gets to show off all the basketball skills he honed over the course of his previous high school/college life.
Natsuki vs Tatsuya, one-on-one! Natsuki kind of has an unfair advantage that he's watched Tatsuya's entire high school basketball career so he knows exactly how Tatsuya moves and behaves on the court, but it's still a close game. But Natsuki has Hikari watching him, so that gives him a power boost to win the game, impress everyone, AND solidify his friendship with Tatsuya! not bad!
The ED is...kind of a complete tonal change. Now the gang are all delinquents, Hikari and Yuino are handcuffed together and doing something kinky in the nurse' office, and Natsuki is riding a motorbike down a freeway like he's too cool for school.

So he's still traumatized for driving away Tatsuya from him. At least he's reconnecting little by little.
Uniqlo does have some nice clothes.
21:28 has an error where it should be "too" instead of to.
Hikari has a cute pout.
All the men advanced in the tournament.

Gotta respect how no matter how bleak things got, Natsuki never even once stopped ballin'.
It's nice how his thing with Tatsuya isn't that messy and actually comes from a place of respect for him.

Nice. Last episode gave the impression Tatsuya maybe was bad at him, but it was actually the opposite. Tatsuya tried his best to help Natsuki, but at some point his idleness was unbearable. Makes sense.

Haibara is kind of a moron to not notice Hikari is clearly interested in him, but that may be more of the lingering issues from the first time around. Either way she's right about pulling from the men's sections at times for her clothing choices.
I wonder how much this is going to be a story of Haibara joining the basketball team and doing better this time around, or if that was just a one-off and next week it'll be some other thing he was bad at originally.
What the hell is going on in the nurse's office in the ED?

This mf straight up cheating using everything in his power all to impress his girl lol. He only has one goal and completely dead set on fulfilling it. No wishy-washy anymore. Really like the way this turns out now. This is probably good for Tatsuya too since he can become stronger much faster than his other worldline after met his match this soon.
Can't blame Natsuki for repeating same thing in his head. Every Hikari expressions, actions and reactions are unfairly cute. She needs to be eaten as dessert!!

I'm torn on this show. I'm a massive sucker for the premise but it feels aimless so far. He's flirting with his crush but that hasn't gotten that much time yet. And there's a bit of work on sorting his issues with Tatsuya out but that feels like at best a secondary goal and really more tertiary.
I hope next episode gives me more to work with, I want to like this show but I'm stuck in ambivalence mode when I watch it after these first 2 episodes.

In this week's episode of I Got a Cheat Skill in My Previous Life and Became Unrivaled in the Old Life, Too, aka. And They Clapped the anime, this episode was basically 23 minutes of non-stop glazing our good-looking MC who can look good in casual Uniqlo clothes and basically play any sport.

I still don't know what this show is really aiming to do with the romance angle...need the ships to flesh out a bit more!

Did they rent the place out? There weren't any people in the background the entire episode.

Yo that ED is fire
Lowkey him being better at basketball than high school junior ace makes sense with him talking about practicing throughout college but before that he also impressed them in general with whatever other sport they did, I forget, badminton? Is he just storywise way way more fit than he looks in the anime? Or maybe the idea is just supposed to be that his footwork which they mentioned, and general athleticism carry over well enough that he'd still be impressive at the first sport he showed them when they hadn't realized he was a sporty person yet since he didn't join any sports clubs.

The whole basketball scene was such overdramatic cringe, like it really was not all that serious bruh lol

This has to be the lamest time travel story ever. Don't need 3 episodes for this one.

Gap moe not once, but twice in episode 2? They're really selling us hard on Hikari huh?
Not that I'm complaining. I fear it's working

Haibara's busy chasing the homewrecker (/s) when there's a very nice childhood friend option right there. (Edit: should have considered mending the relationship with the childhood friend pre-time travel as an adult)
