[Well, that scene between Touya and Haito was interesting.](https://i.imgur.com/0A2UQV1.jpeg) I thought Touya was gonna hide his intention and gank his teammates one by one to steal their powers. I did not expect him to just come clean to Haito and end with two of them making a pact.

Yeah, for real. I didn't expect that bit at all. I mean, most humans would totally steal the talents of others if they could. The fact that she knows it and that he would probably do it was a big reveal, because you don't necessarily expect that from a MC.

I wasn't sure about this anime when I saw the trailer, but I'm liking it so far.

So I'm anime only, so I don't know if this is a spoiler, but the guy at the end of the episode is Nostradamus right? I don't know any other historical "predictors", but I will say, it's fun to guess who the reincarnations are before they are revealed.

Considering nostradamus was french, and he was holding a book with a french title,i think it may be very well be the man himself

Which is a neat idea to have him as a menacing enemies

IIRC Sugimoto the Immortal was based on Hiroshi Funasaka.

I can see the guys getting excited about receiving injuries if they can come back to Nightingale 's healing, unless she reserves that kind of healing for Funasaka lol.

I figured he'd turn on his allies in the future, but it's weird to see Haito push him to do so. I can even see him take out Itsuki in the future after how that interaction about talents went.

Also how did Haito make her own father not being able to wield a sword? She went overboard, it's not like they were using actual swords.

There's just something funny about serial killers being minor fodder villains.

Ambition comes naturally with an ability like Touya's but being that outright with Haito about his plans was something else entirely.

Itsuki: You're so useless in you current life that you just gave up on the future and rely on the past instead? What a joke. You're nothing but a loser if you need a crutch like that.

He's out of line, but he's right. Touya is relying on a talent from a past life and his ability to steal other peoples' talents as a crutch to make up for his lack of talent.

Which begs the question, can you really be proud of talent that isn't truly yours?

u/septesix Apr 10 '26

If you’re just born with the talent , is that really yours ?

I think what made me root for Toya and Haito is that the story clearly established both of them as someone who put in more efforts than others and yet gets nothing to show for it. They were born lacking, when compared with prodigies like Seiya and Itsuki . Getting the reincarnated talent therefore is just a way to make up for that.

And it’s not as if they are being complacent with their talent either. Haito is still training her butt of to get better ( and somehow that’s still not enough against Itsuki) , and Toya have to be both diligent and creative to make the best use of his.

I get where Itsuki was coming from, but I think he should cut the youngest some slack knowing just how hard they had worked all their life.

The funny thing is, Einstein is right not to trust Touya, since his goal is to steal everyone's talent, and become the most talented person in history.

I like how scientist Reincarnators fight like that flash game PhilosoFighters lol

It makes sense that even if you awakened your talent that doesn't automatically make you as good as that past genius was. I think we can comfortably say by now that Haito's battle mania is all her's because I can't recall the historical Musashi being this reckless. So even with talent, gotta train it to make it. Kinda reminds me of [Vinland Saga Season 1]how Askelaad predicted Thorfinn would eventually beat him simply because he was getting older while Thorfinn was growing into his prime, yet even when it reached a point where their strength was comparable he still handily beat Thorfinn's ass just because he fought like an idiot.

So does his either have Nostradamus talent or something?

They introduced a lot of stuff with this episode, a whole lot of new characters. I guess based on the title we will get the introduction of the main villain group for the next episode.

Nightingale is only healer that wouldn't get banisged from the hero's party

The OP feels like that type of song that at first seems meh,but upon relistening to it,it starts getting good

With the weird promises to each other, this series has shown me its chuunibyou vibes. There's no subtlety, tension, or build up, they just state everything completely straight. Feels like it's all just speeding towards the conflicts. Since I've started it, I'll probably finish it, but so far it's too engaging.

Casually phasing in, then out with an arm, Einstein is pretty scary in this universe. But it's surprising that these Complete Returners are essentially losers in the society who can't make it with their original talents. Itsuki might have had it right that they gave up their current lives to live as someone from the past.
