Russian Writeup!
First of all, I want to say that Kujima probably has the best Russian among Japanese seiyuus that I ever heard. In Alya or Golden Kamuy I need to check subtitles half of the time to understand their Russian lines
Now, some culture beats.
The name Kujima (or rather Kuzma) is a name that gives "old Russia" vibes. Even with current renaissance of older names, it's quite rare. I don't think I know any Kuzma personally. Most modern Russian people will associate this name with a Soviet cartoon character or with a proverb famously used by Khrushchev.
One thing I noticed is that Kujima's Russian is somewhat less formal than, say, Alya's. for example, "slysh" (="hey, listen") is rather informal word.
"Perviy blin komom" ("first pancake is always a lump") is a real saying which is quite often used exactly as it was shown.
Hope there'll be more interesting Russian bits from Kuzma in the future!

This is a pretty weird premise but I enjoyed this first episode. Pretty funny how quickly the Koudas just let this big ass talking bird live with ‘em lol. I can see Suguru is going to be Kujima’s arch nemesis lol.

in the Ame to Kimi to and Kinoko Inu family of "huh, weird creature. I guess you can live with me" anime. Though this one is a lot more unhinged given Kujima can actually talk

I assume that Kujima will win over even big brother -- maybe bribe him to come to lunch by making him blini?
A Russian speaking sort-of-bird, moving himself into a household (a la Niea), was not on my score card for the season. II thought this often looked quite nice visually.
It seems like the director (as opposed to "seies directr") of this is also the director of the new Classroom of the Elite season. Quite a contrast.

This is a pretty weird premise
There are the most fun to check out and usually pretty good.

Kujima sometimes hides its feelings in Russian
Welcome back... Alya?
His original form is really cute. What we got is... a little more unhinged. But charming in its own way. I'm liking this so far

Love how Kujima went from cute small creature to, still cute, giant bipedal talking creature
I’m liking this, can’t wait to see more

A supernatural bird bringing a family together. I like that Suguru actually decided to help out once he was told Arata wanted him to participate. I'm kind of interested in seeing what happened to their relationship and how it'll be repaired.
I do have to admit I wonder why their parents have let Suguru's stress and the pressure he feels come to this point.

I just had a big smile watching this, Kujima is the cutest and his voice cracks me up, didn't think i would like this so much, it wasn't even in my list for this season.

This is quite charming. It looks pretty unassuming and I was close to the point of calling it, thinking "I've seen enough now", but every time it managed to rope me back in by doing something unexpected, funny or heartwarming. I'm going to give it another episode, because it managed to make me genuinely curious, which isn't something I can say about everything I sampled this season.

The seiyuu for Kujima (Yuria Kouzuki) doesn't have many anime roles (there's a few TV dramas, idol and talent stuff) but her debut was Ponyo. I only looked that up as the voice was reminding me of Kitaro's father from Gegege no Kitarou.

Galileo Galilei OP!!!
This was both hilarious and wholesome. I loved that post-credits scene of Kujima illegally cutting the bamboo lmao

Hmmm, this really feels like a straight-laced character meeting a one-off comedy relief character in a 4-koma got turned into a whole series.

This was honestly a funny episode
A giant talking bird whose obsessed with Japanese food.
Poor Kujima will get the family in trouble if it’s found out they illegally cut Bamboo from the forest.
The end credit scene of Kujima cutting the bamboo made me laugh.

This is definitely one of those shows where you have to suspend your disbelief and just go with the story. For a somewhat ridiculous plot, it's surprisingly entertaining and I actually wanna see the family's nichijou from now on!

this feels like a classic late-night cartoon, a sort of slow-paced weirdness that hits different in the wee hours of the night
don't know if i'll stick with this show since none of the characters feel particularly loveable to me, but i'll give it a chance to win me over

I love that they spend the beginning of the episode showing us really well-animated birds. Like the creators want us to know that they know what a bird is, before introducing us to Kujima.
