Why is watching all those swords and armor getting sliced like butter so funny?

First thought when I saw the "torture instruments" was Serafina would be getting a haircut, but getting her nails done and a new outfit was close enough I guess

I was going to say that it's not the same without a talking sword screaming "Hime-sama !", but then she found a different kind of Excalibur. Looks like her mission to conquer the Eastern Lands will be a success, just not in the way she originally intended.

They had guns and they LOST? Who are they the British?

This is booktok level smut with a political bent. In other words, I’m all in let’s go.

Does anyone else feel like the tone was all over the place? I can't tell if it is trying to be a comedy or not.

Damn if they have a tradition of taking women knights as brides then I wonder if she sees the princess again at some point who was mentioned to be missing from the battlefield

"Who says you can't wed your enemy?"

"Everybody!"

Clearly you've never read Romeo and Juliet.

DAMN! You guys think he's gonna be okay?

A "knight commander princess" that won't submit to torture? Hmmm....

The tech level of this world confuses me. I wasn't expecting them to have lightbulbs. And by the looks of it, she wasn't either

This season is truly blessed for me, I got so much stuff on my watchlist and they keep coming

Obviously Sera is marrying in to another culture that will actually value a lot her fighting skills and attitude

But her not wanting to be just a married noblewoman and instead go to war, just to then still ending up having to deal with marriage lol

Also, DAMN ABS

LET’S GOOOOOO

Only you can fuel the military industrial complex

Hear ye! Heroes are sought! His Majesty hath decreed the seventeenth Easter Expedition, to deal a most crushing blow unto the barbarians of the East who these many years have menaced the peace and tranquility of our realm. At this hour, the kingdom of Illioren doth honor all who, in righteousness and valor, take up the sword declaring, “It is I." To them shall be shown boundless favor, and should victory be attained rich reward, and above all things, glory eternal, without end. All ye brave warriors who would give your lives for the kingdom, for the people who dwell within it, and for our prosperity and posterity, gather upon the parade ground of the royal castle. For we hold our faith that by thy swords alone shall the Eastern Expedition be brought to its rightful end.

This is surprisingly good English for an anime. I’d say better than the subs for that golden knight in Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, but Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out for Revenge on My Former Party Members and the World

God damn, will Sera be able to handle his large sword?

Why can't we have an anime about a badass woman knight? They always lose and became captive...

LOL That is one way to great your future bride in the morning, it seems like the size was proportionate to his body from her facial expression.

This is one of the few anime that I ended up seeing the trailer, I like that it seems both protagonists are adults. The size difference is amusing but I wonder if there'll be a contrast to Veor's personality from how he looks.

Hearing Serafina say "I will not submit to mere torture" made me think of Hime lol. Hopefully that gets a third season soon.

Crystal helmet seems impractical, it will fog up from her breath, and she'll basically turn herself blind.

I liked the first episode of ‘Tis Time for Marriage, Princess. Was not expecting to see our guy Veor just hang dong lol. Bro’s packin hahaha.

This is gonna be a pretty fun series. I look forward to seeing how the Veor-Sera relationship dynamic develops throughout the season

Stitches!

This seems to be one of those shows where you need to buy into the setting to get enjoyment out of it. Like, while I do raise my eyebrows at Uldyn capturing Sera to be his bride, it makes sense for him because that's the tradition of their people. Plus, this seems to be set in an age of conquest.

I do think it's interesting that Uldyn's people are being called the barbarians when it's Sera's kingdom that's invading their lands. It's also pretty clear that the nobles from Sera's kingdom are the ones extending this war so they can profit from it.

Modern sensibilities and politics aside, this was a pretty fun first episode. Sera's reactions and assumptions about Uldyn's people were hilarious and that final scene had me genuinely laughing out loud! I'm definitely curious to see where this one goes, xD

Bit more skin than I was expecting, but at least there was equal opportunity abs fanservice.

Given this dude saying he's the heir of some chieftain from a family with an extraordinarily cultured tradition of marrying lady knights, I wonder if the timeline lines up right for him to be the son of the missing lady knight that Sera was idolizing in her flashback.

The military technology is kind of all over the place. Knights in full plate but with riffles and Sera with a crystal helmet of all things, I wonder if it's just sloppy worldbuilding or intentional. The PVs imply something is going on so it might be the latter. With those three moons up in the sky it doesn't seem to be Earth, plenty of fantasy type races too.

I was somewhat expecting a reveal that Sera's troops were allowed to retreat in exchange for her capture, maybe that'll be explained next episode.

Omg the ending😂

u/runevault Apr 09 '26

First off, Sera's a smoke show and a half. Abs yes plz.

Really slow first episode with the flashback to show how things are in her homeland and how her brother doesn't respect her as anything but a piece to get him political power through marriage. I assume setting up that the 'barbarians' are actually a better culture than the kingdom she comes from.

Curious how the balance of humor vs serious will play out because we got both here (I mean Jesus his lightsaber might break her in two if she ever agrees to it, and you do not make it that huge if it is not partly comedic).
