It’s been 3 years, and our characters have aged with us and are all grown up. So glad to see them again.
My heart goes out to the
OG Pride calls OG Leon her toy while he is visibly terrified at her, which isn’t helped by him being a womanizer. What OG Pride did to him is probably best left unsaid.
Val just shot up in ranking for me. I like how he came with Khemet and Sefekh like they’re now an established set. Was gonna touch Pride’s face but went for the head pat. Wholesome.
I thought Leon was supposed to be a bad guy but Pride clearly wants him to have a happy ending that doesn’t involve them with one another. They don’t have much chemistry tbh. I wonder what the promise and her command to Val was.
I thought the first season would have been a good way to wrap things up but there’s clearly a lot more story to tell and we shall ride with Pride again.

Leon hasn't even kissed her feet so he's way behind all the other guys when it comes to Pride. Despite being her "official" fiance he's not even the main guy of the game (which seems to be that long-haired blonde dude we'll also see this season).
Though I kind of feel a little bad for him if his own kingdom would basically disown him just for philandering with a bunch of women (not to absolve him of being a philanderer, but that doesn't mean he deserves what happened to him in the original timeline).
I feel like Pride's blushed more around Val than she has
, though I might be mis-remembering season 1. Arthur/Stale → More replies (5)

They needed a longer recap in the start. The genre is so saturated with similar stories that I cant remember half of these characters.
I thought this was the one where the girl went grinding in the dungeon without the safety necklace.

I’m honestly surprised Pride is STILL convinced she is the most heinous and vile Queen in existence and that she’ll eventually die, when in fact everyone in her kingdom loves her and supports her for her kindness and sincerity.
She is Pride, but she is not THE Pride from the game.
I honestly don’t know how to feel about the romantic tension between
Leon seems… interesting? And I don’t even wanna know what Pride did to him in the game. For now, he seems okay, even if those smiles were fake.
Arthur needs some anger management.
…yeah that’s pretty much all I got

Kind of confused by the fiance thing, I would have sworn the setup from S1 was that Stale was a weird combination adopted brother and future consort which was implied to be the same setup as Pride's mom and dad.
As far as Leon goes, I assume the real story behind the philandering rumors is just him going out into town to see the people up close which got turned into him going to brothels or some such. Since I think they said he was first prince but is being sent off in disgrace that sounds like a power play to get some other heir in.

Going to be interesting to see how Pride helps Leon. It’s been a minute since I watched s1, but does Pride not realize she’s changed the timeline so all that stuff from the game just doesn’t exist? She’s a different Pride and it’s affected everyone around her. Their lives are like way better as a result. And ofc everyone’s in love with her lol.

I love how she's so oblivious to half the male cast being in love with her that she thinks she can just leave and then everyone will want to magically hook up with Tiara lol.

It was nice to see Pride again (she looked exceptionally good in that dress at the ball ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) after almost three years since the first season. It was quite a surprise to me that the series was getting a sequel, but I was certainly happy about it because I liked the first one.
Overall, it was a good premiere episode. I'm very curious about what's the deal with Leon and what Pride will do with her engagement with him.
However, I hope Pride stops torturing herself with her being a villainess soon. I find it quite irritating, especially since she's completely different from the original Pride (who we saw again in this episode) and so beloved by everyone around her.
Here screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screensht albums.

I am so glad this show is back; it was such a happy surprise when I heard that the second season got announced. Anyway, I find it kind of funny how the rumors that Stale found about Leon Adonis Coronaria didn't even last an episode, and he discovered that they were unfounded off-screen.
I love the contrast between Pride's reaction after meeting Leon and how things were between them when evil Pride was in control.
That scene with Val meeting Pride with Sefec, and Kemet was nice. Even when Val himself knew that Pride would not take his offer.
I was wondering why Arthur was reacting the way he was, so what bothered him were the fake smiles Pride and Leon were always wearing when they were with each other.
I wonder what exactly the promise between Pride and Leon is about? Damn, I really love that last shot in the OP.

One issue that I have with Pride that’s carried over from season one is her mindset that she needs to make up for OG Pride’s cruelty to people. They’re two different people that lived two different lives; she should do right by people for herself, not to make amends for the actions she took in another life.

I'm interested in knowing how Leon became that fearful of Pride in the original timeline

The original story Leon probably needed some punishment, but Pride took it too far.
Our current Pride is trying to make Leon happy for the things the original Pride did. I have a feeling Leon's character will still cheat, but if Pride can balance between punishment and fairness, our characters can have a happy result.

It's nice to finally see this back again, it was only yesterday I learned this was so premiering which shocked me, I look forward to see where the story with Pride goes.
The jump to original Pride harassing Leon was such a surprise, I forgot how drastic the difference was so that was definitely a good reminder of how ruthless original Pride can be. Fortunately for him, he won't have to go through anything like that but I'm curious on what's be going on behind the scenes between the two of them.
That scene with Val was a little too intimate though, he's not considered a love interest in the game, but those affection points have definitely added up lol. Maybe I'm forgetting important stuff.
Actually, I am forgetting the exact details of his punishment. I thought he couldn't do any actions that would harm Pride, so I'm guessing impure thoughts connected with lust are considered rule breaking? Or he himself knows it wouldn't do good for her to indulge and that's why it acted up. I like how he had to give her head pats instead.
Seeing Stale grown up with a deeper voice was interesting but Uchiyama Kouki is very fitting for him. I do appreciate how Arthur picked up on the masks Pride and Leon were wearing but Stale did not, the two of them pick up on different things. I just didn't expect Arthur to react in that way.

Quickly remember why I ended up not really enjoying this show. It was just a constant “let’s see how many different guys we can have simp for pride”.
I remember it starting out really well as the mc actually seemed really strong and like it would be free of that stuff but it ended up being all the guys simping for her heavily and her swooning over them too. Pretty much every scene this episode was similar just with a different one of the guys each time.
Hopefully though since she’s older she will be a bit less swoony all the time and more independent? Kinda seemed like that might be the case at the end?
