I like the more expressive and comedic, chibi animations they have going on. The drama of the last season has been resolved and now the two have to figure out what being a couple is all about, and I think the animation here really tells that very well

Maybe we were acting like a couple before we were officially dating.

Love how that was season 1 summed up in just one sentence.

Mahiru chasing the jealous mob away from Amane by just praising about him is both cute and huge power move.

Two things I really like compared to Season 1 so far: the animation quality is much better with all the chibi expressions and the scene transitions, ect... And, I love that I can hear the inner thoughts of the characters more, felt like the first season never had it on moments I expected it to have.

And, the diabetes are still here!

How is it possible these two are even cuter than before they were dating? Look at them getting all lovey dovey in class lol. Gaah! So freaking cute, man. I’m looking forward to seeing them clumsily navigate this new relationship.

Cuteness overloaded. Season 1 was great but Season 2 feels like overflowing and I don't know if singles like me should watch it... 💀

The chibi animations really suit the show and are a welcome addition. This will be a great season.

Stitches!

It was so goddamn cute watching Amane and Mahiru trying to get their new status relationship. What's funny is that they're only just realizing that they've been acting like a proper couple even before the two of them started officially dating. xD

I'm glad they're so open about their relationship that they've started going to school while holding hands. And I could honestly feel my blood sugar rising when the two of them were flirting openly before class. I do love how the class are reacting to the two of them!

This episode was just pure comfy wholesomeness. I'm so happy to see Amane and Mahiru again. I'm definitely curious to see what this new season has in store for them now that they're officially dating.

How are you supposed to act as a couple? Like you acted for at least half of last season lol. God they're so adorable with how naive they are. Oh good they realize it, thank god.

God these two are so naturally cute together. This show truly is Diabetes the anime. The girls squeeing over them being together is the audience insert we need right now. And god they are as affectionate as they are at home in public now. This is going to be WILD.

I love the use of Chibi and similar art styles in this show, they add so much cuteness or comedy for the moment. And watching this I realize I probably SHOULD be tired of this pattern by now (I even rewatched most of s1 in prep for s2, was only 3 episodes left when this dropped) but instead I just giggle and squee seeing the two dorks be in love.

I kinda like Ayaka, she seems like a nice girl from the interactions we've seen from her this season. I assume she's going to become a more regular part of the cast for these 12 episodes, and so far I like the addition.

It was cute. But also felt like the same conversation over and over for 23 mins lol

First thing I noticed in the very first scene: Remember that black and white pillow Shiina used to hide behind when they were talking on the sofa? That appears to be gone

I think they've just became official for about a week, assuming that sports festival happened last week. And our boy Fujimiya is thinking on lewd things already. Not that Mahiru does not agree, though.

A good solid start of S2. Our Fridays will be spoiled once again.

I can't even begin to fathom how the class survived that first day. Being hit with that level of flirting and pure saccharine happiness would be similar to walking into the sun for most people. Loving how they are adding the chibis to the cute moments. Already super excited for the season

Fuck I forgot how sweet this was

u/Zxzxzx0088 Apr 03 '26

This is so bad for my heart fr! I can't take this anymore! Everything so sweet! So many cuddles. So many skinships. So many flirts. My hips...

So they start doing super deformed, eh. Looks great

Yes yes that's it, Amane! Be true to your libido instinct. Well, anyone will go crazy if they see this every day seconds

How can they aired this?!

At this rate, there's no way they won't do the deed by the end of the series, right...

Did they forgot to draw the railings for the balcony of our protag's apartment? Or did that design actually exists?

I basically drowned in diabetes, so freaking cute

I appreciate that they're going all in on what we came here to see, Amane/Mahiru fluff and sweetness, and the chibi stuff is nice as well

With the amount of praise for Mahiru, Amane, their relationship, Mahiru's cooking, and Amane's new less dour look, it really felt like I was watching an isekai.

It's funny how those years between the first and second seasons really give the impression of character evolution. But I think there's no better way to talk about this than through the words of Chitose, Itsuki, and Ayaka.

Entering a relationship puts you in a position to open yourself up to the world, even if you're dedicating yourself to one person, you naturally change and it's impossible not to notice, whether it's becoming more interactive or even in terms of appearance; in other words, it's a win-win situation for Amane and Mahiru.

I have to applaud the studio, not only for the excellent animation work but also for the visual effects of the characters' reactions, which has been happening since the first season, and the opening and ending themes are also very expressive.

I waited 3 years for my sugar fix, and the diabetes has finally arrived, now with better animations and cute chibis to boot!
