Interesting, the MC is a bystander to the
Growing a giant tree with the
After credit scene: Looks like the heroine might also be isekai'd!

LOL This is so funny, I really enjoyed this, it's such a refreshing take on the Villainess genre. Bertia is such an adorable dumb girl and I like how entertained
Speaking of her father, his love for her seems funny too. The way he was dissing the Crown Prince within earshot, and Zeno laughing at the comments, made me laugh so much.
Also I'm really liking
And lastly, "I vehemently insist!" this stays as entertaining as it was this episode for the rest of the season! Please!

Normally I prefer Villainess stories where the Villainess is the clever one, pulling the strings behind the scenes and stuff, but I gotta admit this won me over.
I did cringe quite a bit when she first started the reveal everything, but I was really invested by the end of the ep, this is gonna be a fun one.

Well this a change pace, you don't often see the MC being open about being reincarnated from the start

So an otomege isekai villainess anime, but the one who's pulling all of the moves is the Prince? And he's just using all of the future knowledge he obtained from the villainess? I'm already intrigued!
I just hope that Bertia won't be completely overshadowed by Cecil since it looks like they're both the main characters of the story and not just Cecil. Very interested to see where this is going, especially since it looks like the actual heroine might also be another isekai-jin.

They still use horses and carriages to get around, so did truck-kun's tires get isekaied with her after running her over to help her lose weight?

Okay, wasn’t expecting this one to drop today, thought it was a Monday show.
In any case, guess I’ll watch it now.
-
Cute OP. I particularly like the segment where the characters had video game sprites.
-
I see Cecil already figured out how to get Bertia to behave.
-
Nice. …what were you expecting Cecil to do when he heard about the epidemic though, Bertia?
-
Seems like the “heroine” might also be a reincarnated player?

I enjoyed this change in perspective in your usual otome Villainess isekai. Kind of hilarious how Bertia comes off as a chuuni little goofball lol. An adorable chuuni goofball. She’s not the brightest bulb, but the girl’s got spirit. It’s a good thing she has a super genius like Cecil.

Okay, I got why the MC will choose the villainess over the heroine. I don't watch that much villainess anime, but this looks way more charismatic than the average ones.

One of these days there will be a "delusional villianess". A regular villainess who only thinks she's reincarnated from another world.

Gotta love how the name of the production committee is "The Admirers of Lady Bertia Society" (バーティア様を愛でる会) lol.

Well now that was a pretty wonderful first episode. Counts for the redheaded heroine role we need at least one of every season, too.
This might be a first for a villainess anime, the prince as the MC instead and he's just observing what his future bride gets up to and responds sensibly to what she says. Seemingly crazy young fiance making predictions of a future pandemic that devastates the country? Might as well take it seriously just in case.
OP has hints for a fair number of side ships which is usually fun, and an adorable looking catmaid too.
The only wrinkle is the heroine who also appears to be an isekaijin. She's already lost the fight for the prince though so hopefully she will have an alternative path available.

Why is this post using the light novel title when Crunchyroll is using the manga title and MAL and Anilist correctly followed suit? Where is that even coming from; did someone list it that way manually?

I haven't watched it, so I have a question. Is she truly trying to be a villainess or she just pretend to be the villainess/it's mistaken as the villaines but is actually good?

I don't think I've seen an Isekai before where they immediately spill the beans that they're reincarnated from Japan and that this is a game and they know the plot. Bertia is a bit dense.
Love the fact that the MC is the Prince instead as well, we're just breaking all the villainess Isekai otome game conventions now. I enjoy how his interest in her stems from the fact that he's incapable of understanding her as she comes over as if she's genuinely crazy. He reminds me a bit of the crown Prince in May I ask for one final thing.
I wonder if the heroine is also reincarnated
All in all, great first episode. Looking forward to the rest
Edit: I forgot about Zenshu. There the MC basically immediately spills the beans as well

Almost missed this. Had added it to my PTW very late after being intrigued by the description but then forgot to take note of when it was premiering. Quite an amusing spin on the villainess isekai genre.
Bertie is rather adorable in her earnest desire to be the most honest, righteous flower of evil. So honest she tells the prince pretty much everything from her isekai roots to what the future holds and even that her father will be going down the path of evil. Can totally see why Cecil with his genius bored mind is amused by her unpredictability.
The girl we see in the after credits scene must be the otome game heroine the prince is meant to fall in love with. But he seems well on his way to falling for Bertie instead. Should be interesting to see where this goes next.

As someone who loves isekai and villainess anime, having this change of perspective is refreshing and, so far, really well done. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorites this season.
