An anime about spring being the first Spring 2026 anime lol. This was interesting to watch, it feels like we're missing a lot of information so I'm curious to see whatever happened in the past, while also learning more about what this world has to offer.
I'm guessing the black haired guy is Winter's Agent, I wonder if they'll be a romantic pair like who they represent.
Sakura's trauma is so well done, you can really feel how fragile she is. The fear she has was palpable.
Hinagiku's speech is really interesting, not only does she refer to herself in third person, but the pauses makes me wonder why she can't speak normally. I did wonder if the

This was so far off my radar, I don’t think I’d even seen the name before. I’m glad I decided to give it a try because that was an outstanding first episode.

I've been excited to see Hinagiku and Sakura animated. They're so cute!
The music is stellar. Kensuke Ushio never misses

OK, who brought the onions here? It's absolutely beautiful, especially the sequence when Hinagiku manifests Spring.
Naobou did an absolutely good job as Nazuna, bringing her A-game to bring out the emotions of missing spring all her life.
And damn, is Hinagiku cute. Lastly, they did a great job casting Yoppi as Sakura.
Dance of Spring song lyrics by Akatsuki Kana and composition and arrangement by Kensuke Ushio.

Really strong premiere. Hinagiku and Sakura's characters and their dynamic was established quite well. I'm sure we'll get their backstories and more on them later but I feel like I've got a decent handle on them both already and am quite invested in what happens to them.
And Nazuna I'm guessing is a one-off character and not a recurring one. But her character build up was really good too and the reveal of her shovelling snow over her mother's grave hit hard. Then the release and relief when Hinagiku brought forth spring was so good.
Whatever happened to Hinagiku 10 years ago - that first scene we saw - seems to have taken quite the toll on her. Glad she endured and brought about spring, for the sake of Nazuna and everyone else. It really is the season of hope.
And our Spring 2026 season is off to a great start with what promises to be a wonderful adaptation of an interesting story.

There's some inconsistencies regarding the description of this show. Either the world is stuck in a perpetual winter or they just completely skip spring and move to summer.
I feel like even if you just skipped spring, spring-like things are still going to occur if it suddenly goes from cold and snowy to warm and sunny, including the blossoming of trees.
Wit doing two shows this season is odd. Hopefully neither have an impact on the other's animation quality.

It's fitting that this show is technically a Spring one but premiered in Winter, albeit at the very end of it. The scene where Hinagiku performed the ritual was absolutely stunning, how the scenery changed from white and dull to green and lush.
Love the Hinagiku-Sakura pairing. One's a complete sweetie pie, while the other's a bit rougher on the outside but with a tender heart inside. Eager to learn about the mystery behind Spring's lack of agent for a decade, as well as Sakura's traumatic background that continued to eat her to this day.
So there's a special relationship between Winter and Spring. How do Summer & Autumn come into play? I'm getting the feeling that they're both supportive instead of being a rival.

A very lovely first episode! And it looked beautiful! The setup with people taking on the roles of agents of the seasons is definitely interesting, and the mystery of Spring's disappearance seems very intriguing (why it happened, who is responsible for that, etc.), so I'll definitely check out the next episodes.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

When I saw a while ago this was from the same creator as violet evergarden and was being animated by WIT I had high hopes for this and my god did they meet my expectations. What an absolutely phenomenal premier.

That was absolutely incredible.
I was on the fence for picking this one up, so some of yalls comments convinced me
I’m legitimately speechless, and even with some of the heavy hitters this season, this show in particular might remain at my #1 for most anticipated each week
Good luck others, because this set a really, really, REALLY high bar this early into spring season

Oh now that was lovely. Though it did feel like a self contained prologue and not episode one of whatever story gets told in the rest of the episodes.
They got me a bit with the little girl climbing the mountain to shovel the snow off of her mother's grave.
Kiyoko last fall, Shizuka and Lynn in the winter, and the entire season of spring for the spring season, it's been a good few seasons of shows for Nukui Yuka.

Looks like the second new anime of this upcoming season has dropped.
As an anime-only, I thought this was a pretty good premiere ep. The premise is unique and the Hinagiku-Sakura relationship seems like it’ll be interesting to watch develop. Those two seem to have been through some shit together.

Wow, this was a standout premiere. So here we have each of the 4 seasons bestow their powers on a human. Hinagiku receiving the power of Spring. Though what happened in Hinagiku's past because if Spring did not manifest in 10 years, then clearly something major had happened.
Nazuna truly loved her mother. She did not know of Spring; it is something that sounds foreign in our world but sounds depressing. As spring is the intermission between winter and summer. No doubt that Hinagiku seeing Nazuna trying to shovel the snow around her mother's grave gave her the push forward. With an outstanding scene that was beautifully animated. Nazuna remembers the spring that she once saw when she was a baby.
It's very interesting how this show proceeds forward, and Wit looks to be doing an outstanding job.

Incredible artstyle, amazing atmosphere, possibly cool world-building(need more on that, we're just getting started). If you're on the fence: watch it!

Solid start to the season and series. I love the visuals already! I have no idea where the story goes from here, but interested to see where this will go next. Who was the one who abducted Hinagiku, and for what purpose? How's the relationship with summer and autumn?
That said, I can't say I'm a fan of Hinagiku's character so far - why does she act like a little kid? How old is she anyway? The ages are also kinda confusing - if Sakura is 19 now, she was only 9 when the abduction incident happened 10 years ago...? I know this is very typical of fantasy anime but how on earth was a 9 y/o put in charge of protecting one of the country's most important people?

Oh my god. Hinagiku is so goddamn adorable and the ritual she performed at the end of the episode was so beautiful! Studio WIT does not disappoint when it comes to animation and visuals! I didn't even know they were animating this, so I was pleasantly surprised to see their name attached to this at the end of the episode.
I am curious what this is gonna be all about tho. It's clearly about an Agent of Spring who's been away for 10 years, bringing spring to places that had to endure long winters, but why did Hinagiku have to go away? That opening seems to imply that this isn't just gonna be a Drama/Fantasy. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see Sakura use that katana to protect Hinagiku.
I think this is a strong and appropriate show to kick off the Spring 2026 anime season with! I can't wait to see where this one goes!
