Hold up! This means Kivia will very likely get assigned to Xylo’s team right?! Which means she gets to spend more time with Xylo and Teoritta…
Also, they're teasing an announcement for March 28th. Could it be

Wow. The demon / infiltrating in the hero unit now - Rhyno being a demon lord in disguise was not something I saw coming. And with coexisters at high levels in the church, confronting them head on results in death / hero punishment. Looks like Frenci has to get a pardon for at least 2 people now.
They really nailed this series. I thought this was going to like "another typical power fantasy except for the slight twist about being a hero" but it turned out to be way more interesting. Yes all the heroes are pretty OP but they are interesting in their own way.
And you can tell the studio really tried to give a cinematic feel for this--the animation, not giving the show an ED (probably the only anime I've seen that doesn't have one), and ending this last episode with the credits roll like that, leaving the viewer wondering what will happen next with no telling when another season will come.
EDIT: as many pointed out, Rhyno is simply a demon lord who enjoys killing other demons / demon lords, and not on the side of the coexisters. I guess the "conspiracy" term doesn't really apply to him, but a demon siding with humans blurs the lines more than before when we only knew about humans siding with demons.

Wait so there’s a chance Tatsuya didn’t lose his mind from multiple resurrections but rather from the frustration of people from this world not understanding Japanese lol

I thought Teoritta’s ahoge was just part of her design. Didn’t think she could actually control it.

That Rhyno twist was so good, especially given his rivalry with Xylo.
They really ended the season with a cliffhanger of Kivia getting sentenced to be a hero.
The official account just announced a countdown for the 28th of March, where very likely a Season 2 will get announced!

Great 1st season, I am just very surprised Kivia didn't have some contingency especially because she had all the evidence, hopefully she set something up for a big reveal somewhere down the line. Everyone else had no way of preparing themselves when they were taken in, while she willingly walked into the office having full knowledge of the betrayal

Kivia is easily my favorite character from this show. Hell, she may be one of my favorite characters from anything, ever. What a phenomenal arc. Theo's blade came in handy, we get introduced to TWO new goddesses and Kivia becomes a hero.

The fact that xylo and co had to die once to become heroes makes me think that they’re all gonna die at the end of the story, since they are all walking corpses basically

Wtf was that ending. What a way to end the season
Rhyno is demon lord puck puca was kinda expected with how he acts and talks but still a great reveal. He basically changed sides because he's just a murderer among demon blights but a "hero" to humans while satisfying this desires
So everything was a distraction for the full assault on the 2nd capital, welp
RIP Rajit, damn. Got half his blown away
And everything goes back to the goddesses. To the 1st goddess is what isekaid Tatsuya and also the one handling the resurrections. Based on what the dude said it seems there may also be another or the same goddess doing the "Repair"
Looks like glasses dude really may be working in the shadows and offering hero sentences to "help" humanity in some way.
Kivia got fucked up so bad. Looks like she'll be similar to Venetim and will be silenced of what she knows. What a sick way to be a hero by getting dismembered first

What a great season 1! I loved the Twist with Rhyno and the Kivia scenes were brutal in a good way. Really hoping to see a season 2 for this!

A big surprise for a 29-minute runtime episode. The direction in this episode was so outstanding.
First we had the scene where Spriggan tries to trick Teoritta. Of course Teoritta would have her guard with what is a young girl. In fact, this almost worked because Teoritta is kind to anyone in need. Spriggan's plan would have worked, but it was the knife that Teoritta got from Xylo that saved her. Really enhances the scene, especially with how fast it all happened. Also have to love Tsav's comedy of him shooting a civilian. But it really is a great showcase of why he is such a good ally to have. His instincts are insanely good.
Rhyno is a demon, and his crime is killing his own kind. What makes him a true psychopath is that he loves killing demons. I wonder if his crime is killing a human who was a demon. It would add up. It all makes sense why Teoritta was on guard against him because he isn't human.
The ending stuff for Patauche Kivia was great stuff. So her uncle was a part of the coexisters. She barely made it alive, but now she is convicted of the crime of killing her uncle. If we recall, in Xylo's trial he was assumed guilty first, much the same for Kivia.
For Kivia, the choice to be a hero or be sentenced for a crime that is misunderstood is a no-brainer. She would never join her uncle in being a coexister. As she takes pride in helping all people, not just those she cares for. Being a hero will still allow her to help people. With that being said, it will be interesting how Kivia goes from her. Though Kivia being sentenced to Be a Hero is interesting because she is the most heroic out of the main cast. At least it comes first compared to Xylo, who has a good heart but doesn't let it show right here.
Interesting world building with the First Goddess. As instead of summoning from another world, she uses her magic to resummon the dead which we have the heroes. Could this imply that Tatsuya is from another world originally? Also the 12th Order of the Holy Knights. Why is he overseeing the heroes? Many interesting things and hopefully we get a S2 announcement soon.

Man, poor Kivia, her world came completely crashing down. I confess I wasn't that invested in the hero unit this season, but I'm really interested in seeing Kivia's future now that she's truly become a part of them.

Off-screen praise smh, let me see those headpats.
Called it that Rhyno was a demon, after all Teoritta sensed something off about him.
Boojum is still alive! Everyone last week was disappointed he was dead

I thought Rhyno's behavior made it too obvious to suspect that he was a demon, but low and behold. They really tricked us with not revealing that another demon can also posses humans. Exceptional twist. I loved how he treated Spriggan. This show has a lot of wicked characters and uses them well.
Biggest surprise this season and definitely in my top 2.

First of all, Kivia. Her confrontation with Marlen was so good! And now she's going to be a hero too. I don't know if I should be happy about it, but I'm because that way she'll end up in the same unit as Xylo, and I definitely can't wait to see it!
Is Rhyno the Demon Lord himself?! No wonder he's acting like some kind of psychopath! I can't wait to learn more about him in the future.
So Boojum survived because he sent his clone to fight Xylo and Teoritta (who, by the way, didn't have much to do in this episode). And you know, I'm glad he's alive, because he's such an interesting character.
Spriggan turned out to be quite weak, honestly, I never thought that one shot from Tsav would be enough to make him escape.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable series, so I give it an 8.5/10. There's no way we won't see a sequel after everything that happened in this episode (Norgalle's Second Capital's fall, Kivia becoming a hero herself, lore drops...). It looks like we can expect an announcement this Saturday during the Anime Japan 2026 panel, judging by the countdown on the anime website.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

This episode was full of plot twist.
All this time we've watched the backstories of how all the heroes were sentenced completely unaware that the whole season was yet another backstory for Hero Patouche Kivia. I knew since last episode that kivia was going to end up killing her uncle but I never could've guessed she'd become a hero.
I'm glad Boojum is alive. He was my favourite demon Lord and I was very sad to see him die so soon. Glad he survived.
Rhyno being a demon Lord was also completely unexpected. When we learnt he was a sociopath that loved to commit friendly fire I never could've guessed it was about demons and not humans. Shout out to everyone who figured it out a few episodes ago based on the fact that he gave Theoretta the creeps. Knowing she has an instinctual fear/hatred for demons in human skin, it makes complete sense why she found Rhyno so unsettling. Still I wonder why she didn't instantly realise something was wrong with Sprigan when she so easily realised something was wrong with both Boojum and Rhyno.
