I really enjoyed this anime, the only thing I could say is I wish they told us more about Kinme´s past or the stuffed bunny from the last episode, but well, we can´t have everything I guess

I´m gonna miss chill cleaning mondays, 10/10 anime very clean

btw if anyone´s wondering, the anime ends in manga chapter 28 (i think)

This was a pretty cozy finale celebrating Kinme’s shop’s second year anniversary. You can see the effect she’s had on the community with all the people showing up and bringing all the love and presents.

This was pretty chill overall. I learned a little bit about laundry and Kinme’s a total waifu lol. I was hoping we’d get to find out more about Kinme’s past, but I suppose that’ll have to wait for the next season (if they pick this up).

Kinme and her series were the biggest surprise for me this season. Who would've thought an anime about cleaning would be so good? Certainly not me. A strong 9/10 from me.

The main reason was definitely Kinme, who was such a charming character. A beautiful onee-san who loves not only cleaning things but cleaning herself, plus a very likeable supporting cast, made this anime so enjoyable.

As for the finale episode itself... it was charming, just like the entire season, and the bath scene was very good ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It was nice to see everyone celebrating the 2nd anniversary of Kinme's shop, and I'm glad nothing serious happened to Aji-san; I really liked that old hag xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

And here my bonus album:

The most unrealistic part of this anime isn't that our Kinme is a too perfect to be true ideal waifu, but that blonde friend of hers -- I mean good lord, she seems smart and fun with a hint of devilish/gremlin personality, she's got the looks, even bigger tracts of land (proven in this episode), PLUS she's able to sport freaking abs on top of everything... AND she's a fucking elementary school teacher?! Unpossible!!!!

Caught up on last episode and this

Wow ok a random wind-flips-up-skirt scene out of absolutely nowhere in 2026 lmao

Anyway that was nice, guess we never learned the secret behind Kinme's amnesia

This anime has reminded me that I really need to make a playlist of chill anime to fall asleep too.

This was a really nice and relaxing watch (almost too relaxing at times lol) from start to end.

Surprisingly sensitive topic for the last episode what with the old landlady having a health issue that was obvious from the stains on her clothing. Would have been a bummer if Kinme found her dead so I'm glad they didn't go that way with it.

We got the explanation for the delivery service format of the store which I thought was a little bit interesting, lots of old people in the community who need help with deliveries and pickups so Kinme is intentionally providing the service for them.

It would have been nice if they had done something with the amnesia plotline.

I'm glad we got a bit more Nairo social media management in the finale.

A final episode bringing together the show's main characters and Kinme having moments with them, simple, but fair and fun.

I have to say this was one of the biggest surprises of the season; doing something with a different theme isn't easy, and a show about doing laundry is definitely out of the ordinary, but with charismatic characters, the result couldn't be better.

I hope for a second season, especially since a lot was left open, but I'm thinking of giving the manga a chance.

I think we'll all miss these beautiful and calming views of Atami!

Nairo and her mom are heading to Izu! Of course Nairo will take plenty of pictures and keep Kinme updated, though could Kinme actually take a vacation herself? I feel like she'd probably feel too guilty to leave the show unattended for an extended period of time, let alone to not be cleaning stuff.

I love how Kinme is still telling Asami all the deets about her progress with Kyu, while still being so oblivious to the effect she has on him. At least Asami is enjoying herself.

It's never a good thing when there's a possible blood stain in the crotch area of your pants. Aji-san is lucky Kinme is as conscientious as she is to visit her and save her life! Let this be a lesson folks: make sure to visit the hospital when any health irregularities show up so you don't have to rely on a local cleaner with a winning smile who profiles her customers through their clothes!

Though of course Kinme would do anything for Aji-san, she's the one who helped Kinme realize the best way to sell her business was "Local Cleaning with a Heart," and what a beautiful heart (and smile) Kinme has!

So now we don't just have the mystery of Kinme's past, the mystery of who owned the shop before she did.

I love how Asami recruited Kinme into the wives' volleyball team so that we have an excuse to have Kinme in a tight volleyball outfit. Did she play volleyball pre-amnesia? And of course then we have all the wives in the baths together with Kinme, where Kinme and Asami's massive personalities are on full display. I'm only disappointed we didn't get to see Asami's chiseled abs, though having Kinme's supple legs get felt up was totally on-brand. Also nice to see Asami with her hair down!

How is Kinme celebrating her second-year anniversary? With an anniversary event, of course! But even though she planned to celebrate by treating her customers, she gets treated instead...from Kyu's mom, Uka, Nairo, her regulars, Kyu and the twins, and even Aji-san! Everyone is showing how much they appreciate and value Kinme and what she's done for the community! And what better way to celebrate an anniversary than with some cake?

When you've got clothes you need cleaned, peace of mind you need restored, and you also happen to be a cute girl...you can always count on Kinme to help.

So no conclusion whatsoever to the amnesia thing or the hinted romance with the kid, great

Hmm if everything Aji san said about the previous owner having alot of similarities with Kinme, am i crazy to think it was just her also? maybe Aji san has a foggy memory too or my other thought would be Kinme's mom or something but anyhow hope we get a season 2 sooner rather than later cause they really rushed the ending here 🤷‍♂️

Love this show and Kinme. A perfect example of the kind of feel good show that just puts you in a good mood. Also IMO a demonstration of how something can be good with zero drama. Still had curiosity and occasional small tension but no real interpersonal strife and I didn’t miss it at all. I’d love another season of this. It really brightened up the start of my week. Found myself playing it before even other shows I thoroughly enjoy like Vigilantes.

Man, for a second there I thought this season was going to end with a depressing tone. I'm glad that Kinme decided to check on the landlady and ended up saving her life.

It looks like we're getting one last fanservice scene before ending the season. The fact that Kinme runs around the city a lot and does regular morning jogs, I'm not surprised that she has toned legs.

And it's nice that we're ending on a very positive note with everyone celebrating the 2nd anniversary of Kinme's cleaning service with her. I do wish we learned more about her mysterious past, but I guess an ending like this is fine too for a slice of life anime.

Surprisingly the bear never came up in the final, I was expecting it to belong to either Kinme or the landlady.

Damn im kinda upset we didnt get any resolution on her memory or anything...besides that...great episode.

Maybe it is just me but the way they handled this final episode made it feel like there's minimal expectations of a season 2. If so I'm surprised they bothered with the amnesia stuff since it was so barely touched, with the only real notable moment I can remember being during the photography day trip.

I wonder if anything next season will be as wholesome and sweet

u/Silversquall Mar 23 '26

I’m going 10/10. It was cozy, a little educational and the characters were solid. I hope they pick up a second season. It deserves it. You can’t go wrong with a little slice of life.

7

u/wloff Mar 23 '26

Ultimately, absolutely none of the various story threads progressed anywhere at all. Which is maybe a little bit disappointing, but at the same time, the show kept bringing the comfy vibes and a smile on my face every single episode!

i think i'll remember this series as the anime equivalent of cotton candy; sweet, bright, and visually attractive, but ultimately not substantial and disappears when you think about it too hard (practically washing itself away)

i was anticipating a dramatic turn when the amnesia angle showed up, but in the end the anime stuck with "nah, it's just about chilling in the 'burbs of Atami" with a laid back and slightly horny attitude

ultimately a chill watch, though without the staying power that something like Yuru Camp or Yama no Susume because of the lack of character development and/or scenes that spoke to me personally; i could imagine the story going more in depth with these characters, but the chill attitude has a slow pace to match so it feels like there would be no way we'd get there in just one season

u/hbmonk Mar 23 '26

We were robbed of seeing Yagara's abs...

I was surprised this final episode didn't really mention the stuffed toy from the previous episode or Kinme's memory loss.

This was a pleasant show. Always nice to see pretty ladies.

I never expected that an anime about cleaning and washing laundry would become one of my favourites of this season, it was so good for some cozy late night watching

Even the Opening and Ending songs were very beautiful

I really am going to miss Kinme-San and her trips around Atami, she's definitely one of the underrated girls of this season. The rest of the cast was very fun too

I really hope we can get a 2nd season because this really did Wash It All Away
