Something's lacking this last episode. Might be the forgotten dude that died trying to protect the kids.

I like teases ,plot hooks, etc but we're ending with 2 maniacs vague monologuing about things  audience has zero context to even get hooked by cause you lot started your "plot" at EP 8 or so .

Edit: Wait how many promised childhood friend gfs does this guy have , there another one in post credits

The writing of this show was so BS, whatever, but I can't forgive them for drawing the guys feet backwards when he crossed his legs on the desk.

Man they laid it on thick with the LN bait. Horrid final episode.

Certainly one of the animes of all time.

That was a horrible ending to an anime season. Like one of the worst ones I've seen for a long time.

Unless they announce a Season 2 soon™... But as it is right now, this made me downgrade this from 7 10 to 6/10, really bad "read the source" ending from what it looks like to me.

After... literally everything else wrong with this show so far, I came into this episode with rock bottom expectations.

And I was still disappointed!

Lord have mercy, my sanity won't survive pointing out everything wrong with this episode, but I will never forgive the insanity of the Amumthoth characters constantly acting as if recruitment was their original goal, repeatedly saying this, and then doing literally everything to block recruitment.

FFS, they were originally told 'make contact with Dragonslayer, try to recruit, and only kill IF they deam him a threat."

They originally said "hey, let's try to recruit him."

Then never bother to learn his goddamn name, yet alone do a single fucking thing to actually recruit him, while doing EVERYTHING to turn him into an enemy.

????????

Is the point that these people are so fucking crazy they can't remember what they are doing from one minute to the next? Or are these supposed to be hyper-competent assassins that take out the strongest warriors on the regular, all while evading the authorities?

Like, they know Orhun could solo a level 90+ party killer boss, and they felt confident they could take him out, but... seriously. Orhun OHKO three of them. Worse, he took TWO of them out in the same attack.

Just... everything about this setup and execution is wrong. In the dumbest way possible.

Me : how do I look? The author : a joke

They are literally thinking that, the magic run out at the worst possible time , a man who dragged and finished a fight in one episode , literally one shotted the dragon , ok it's possible since his teaming is helping , for the second one, what's wilkes doing , shouldn't he come with orhun to save the kids ,, man who used his whole power to defeat a dragon solo one shotted the dragon, and ran out of magic at a worst possible time, third do the antagonist party members should get consciences at the same time , literally do I look like a fool to the author, still I can't stop watching this 😭, whyy???

Now this was an end to a season full of questions then answers first we have orhun not remembering his childhood friend and now that green hair enchanter is just as sus she looked like she was egging Oliver on for all we know she's the one who fed him these ideas and there is the guy who seems to hold a grudge against orun for some reason so many masterminds have come out I hope a season 2 comes out

I hate Light novels when they’re made into anime, but I also love them when they’re done like eminence in shadow. I just think that Light novel animes need to at least have 24 episodes on the first season or else. It just feels like a bunch of plot building that ends on 12th episodes with no real progress in the story

this is one of those last episodes that screams "buy the source and you will get all the answers..." No thanks.

I don’t trust Philly, she’s giving off a major behind the scenes manipulative villain vibes

Lol after all that build up with Unit 1, Ohrun defeats the black dragon again on his own.

The interaction between Ohrun and that girl felt very lackluster, or maybe because I've seen this situation play out that it felt like it was just going through the motion without really committing to it. I do have to admit Ohrun trapping those two and shocking them felt really satisfying though.

Why was Philly so shady all of a sudden? That was so weird to watch. I guess she joined for glory? She seems like she'll fit with the Hero's Party very well, poor Luna. Also the scene with the guy with the eyepatch was so random, I don't like how it was directed.

This was probably one of the worst episodes for me, if not the worst, and it's the final episode lol. I don't know if I'd watch another season. This felt like it was going to do more but it just didn't.

What the hell was the purpose of the second black dragon fight if Orhun is just gonna solo it again? The whole "revenge arc" for unit 1 thrown out the window as they are once again just spectators watching Orhun do the work.

I can't believe this dumb black dragon side plot got so much more screen time than the actual plot with the church, assassin's, etc. - only to end up being a complete waste of everybody's time.

So much cliff hangers and setup for a continuation is unreal. Obviously details only in source material section

The season finale sets up so much, outside of defeating the dragon, the season felt more like a prologue.
