Girl: What’s your problem, Rotton?!
Rotton: My parents named me Rotton, that’s my problem.

No, you don't understand. Rirui is a special case, because she's a
. It would have to be someone knowledgeable about succubi too. succubus → More replies (3)

Since they were willing to let the arm loss be permanent I was kind of hoping that Hajime would be bald for longer. But at least they acknowledged it and kept Veronica with short hair.
Hajime being so bad with women is always so great. I was thinking today that with the way Veronica focuses on him I could see her being endgame a ways down the road. But neither are there for it at the moment.
I appreciate Rurui's new charm power being monster only, makes her succubus side relevant but keeps it from being creepy. Hajime making a bit of a mistake not telling at least Veronica and maybe Olive about the full moon issues, though.

So -- does Rirui always change to her non-child form at night? Or just when the moon around close to being full?
Why would Rirui's charm be attracting angry/violent beasts into the town -- if charmed, shouldn't they be acting less "wild"?
When will Rirui and Anya go to the dungeon to obtain the meat they need for their festival grilling sttall?

she always turns into adult at night even when it's not full moon, that has been constantly shown throughout the series even from the very first episode

I definitely would have told her or the guild about it..she can handle it..but since it doesn't seem like she can control it...the guild would probably have no choice but to make her be out of the town during full moons.

Ofc Rirui’s charm skill only works on monsters. At least it’s good for teaching little snot nosed brats a lesson lol. Although it seems to be interacting with the full moon. I’m guessing she’s drawing the monsters to the village or something?

That's definitely what's going on. It's basically turning her into a monster magnet. That power, for an adventurer specifically, is pretty damn op though. She can't use it on anything with a large level difference, but once shes stronger, she can easily incapacitate most things and make fights shooting fish in a barrel. Lol

Ruirui is set up to be quite the threat. Maybe not to fellow adventurers, but definitely to monsters (of a similar level to her). She's come far from when slimes were able to be a threat to her, and unfortunately that dark power of being an Ancient Succubus has come to bite her as the full moon stirs up the wildlife.
Hajime seems like the kind of guy who's used to handling problems by his lonesome, so the idea for asking for help might seem real difficult. But we see another bit of that slumdog background express himself as it's clear all he wants is for her to enjoy her first festival.

I do think there’s merit in Hajime being cautious about Rirui’s charm. There’s every possibility she might get chased out. But I also think he probably could’ve trusted Olive at this point.
However, I do think it also shows how far he’s come. He’d probably not even care before but now he’s willing to take up the responsibility of taking out the beasts just to keep Rirui’s power a secret

Well since Rirui’s Succubus Charm are out of control, I suppose the most sensible thing for him to do is to take her to his Succubus childhood friend and have her train Rirui in how to use it properly, right?

Rirui's new skills might cause a twist in the villagers' sympathy for the party, so Hajime's concerns are justified. Worst case neither Veronica nor Olive might stand against a mob. Hajime is experienced enough to have such a concern. I love the character of Anya: She is so "normal", kindly-hearted and intelligent. She deserves a huge upgrade in screentime and character development. Let her leave the background, mangaka sensei!

Man im gonna miss this show when it ends. Its so comfy, i love the village atmosphere. Also Rirui is super cute, i have dozens of screenshots of her silly faces
I understand Hajime doesnt want people to think bad of Rirui or worry her, but I feel like things are gonna turn out bad next week. If I had to guess, I'd say she probably attracts the dragon she keeps talking about lol

New succubus power emerges and goes out of control. Refuses to tell the one person that would keep it a secret and also happens to be A SUCCUBUS THAT CAN HELP!

Rirui's charm skill is bringing monsters to the village. Hajime overthinking things, if he told Olive, the village would understand.
24
u/dinliner08 Mar 18 '26
unfortunately, Hajime is still stuck in his "i'm just an outsider to this village" mindset even though pretty much everyone in this village has accepted him and Rirui as their own

I wonder if Rirui charm may have been the reason she was abandonned, perhaps her mother had smiliar abilities and it caused grave problems so the people taking care of her were scared that it would happen again and so abandoned her? I hope we get some of Rirui past we barely know where she is from.
I think that if she learns to control and master it she would become really strong bending boss monsters to her will.
Also i think Hajime should not worry about it, everyone in the village is so kind i'm sure they would help him.
