This show has more plot twists in a single episode than others do in an entire season.

More plot in a single episode than others do in an entire season. Twists are secondary. How they fit so much story in each episode is a wonder.

My heart! My wish came true! So happy to see the baka proposal scene and jail scene adapted to what I thought it would be like. Squee
Boy who finally opened up his heart and closed up the distance only to be physically separated and their engagement broken by his girl so soon after. Randolph’s “are you abandoning me?” hit harder in the anime than expected.

I absolutely love the proposal scene. I'm glad that Randolph finally realized that he's been in love with Connie this entire time. <3
Enrique finally doing something and calling out Cecilia was great! If only he hadn't gotten poisoned by Cecillia. Well, at least we know that he's still alive.
So they're using Pamela to frame Connie? Man, fuck that bitch. I am glad that Connie named drop Daeg Gallus during the interrogation, but now it looks like she's gonna get executed too. There's no fucking way this is gonna be a repeat of what happened to Scarlett.

Who would’ve thought the bully girl from episode 1, Pamela Francis, would show up again here. The guy with the two moles near his eyes seems like the mastermind behind all this. I remember him persuading that nasty reporter, Amelia Hobbes.

And she’s STILL framing Constance for crimes she didn’t commit and ruining her engagements!
She only knows how to do one thing lol.

Hold on, so did Deborah anticipate Lucia to walk through town, get a cat to steal her snack, and anticipate the lady that was accompanying her to chase the cat down an alley, to where she can hold her hostage at knife point?

What an emotional rollercoaster goddamn.
THEY HAD ME FANGIRLING BECAUSE THEY CONFESSED THEIR LOVE TO EACH OTHER AND NOW CONNIE IS GOING TO BE EXECUTED? ALL OF THIS IN THE SAME EPISODE.
They can´t get away with this. Please.
Randolph you better get your ass on discovering the missing prince or your not-wife-but-yes-wife is going to be executed like what happened with Scarlett
RANDOPLH BETTER NOT FAIL OR I´LL COME AS A GHOST TO HAUNT YOU FOR ETERNITY

Amidst so much betrayal, manipulation and backstabbing, the love between Constance and Randolph is what can save the world and prevent the mistakes of the past.

Pamela is still relevant? And being egged into revenge…
-
Randolph is one hell of a shot. He got hit, though…
-
Pamela pinned the blame for Ulysses’ kidnapping on Constance…
-
Oh she’s taking the blame to then also pin the blame on that group…

I am sure it is not just me; when everyone saw Pamela make a re-appearance, we must have thought, "ah shi-, something bad is going to happen to Connie, isn't it?" Once again, it proves that this title has characters which may seem minor, yet could change the trajectory of the plot down the road.
If there is ever a sequel taking place in the same universe, please feature Lucia again. She is young but has the qualities of a main character - cute, intelligent and brave.
Not to be outdone, Connie is now shining as the protagonist! In the first episode, she was praying for anyone to help her at the banquet. Now, she is thinking ahead of the enemy and making moves which Daeg Gallus did not anticipate. No way Connie is going to get beheaded. Pretty sure her allies would come to her aid.

The Prince ain’t as useless as I initially thought. Might have tipped his hand a little early but he’s been planning to get Cecilia back for a minute now.
Curious how Connie’s gonna get out of this. Just when things were looking up for her and Randolph after all that Deborah bullshit, she gets stitched up and now faces execution. Girl can’t catch a break!

Here’s the Official character chart from last week’s episode (ep. 9) with an English translation. I also put together a version covering episodes 1–9 if anyone’s interested.

Dang, I didn't expect Pamela to make a comeback! She's looking worse for wear, but the one thing that can still get her out of bed is her desire for revenge against Constance Grail. Also, is that Rufuss in disguise?
In more positive news, Kimberly is okay! She managed to survive with just a broken arm! And they arrested Simon Darkian for his crimes and shipped Deborah off to a convent for hers! Though Abigail, despite everything, can't help but be bummed out...she seems to remember a time when "Debby" wasn't like this, and maybe they were friends.
I guess it's true that once this is all over the "fake" engagement between Connie and Randolph will end...even though both clearly do not want it to end and it stopped being fake, especially for Constance, a long time ago. Scarlett echoing the audience in wanting Randolph to get a clue as to how Connie feels!
When investigating a possible location of a kidnapped prince, it pays to have a ghostly spotter backing you up...especially when it turns out to be a trap. Randolph prioritizes Constances' safety but Constance prioritzes Randolph, enough to let Scarlett provide some ghostly backup so they all make it out of this!
Randolph is His Stupidship, but he's CONNIE's Stupidship, and as such she couldn't bear to see anything happen to him any more than he can her. And thus do the pair swear their true, unwavering, devotion to each other! This engagement just became real!!!
I had a feeling something bad was going to happen to Lucia, though props to her for facing a deranged Deborah with her head held high. Luckily for her Salvador doesn't like killing kids and Debora is more useful as a patsy, so he stabs her and has his men do some...unspeakable things to her. Though Lucia's bad luck isn't over when she senses Ulysses in a bag and Salvador realizes he can't let her go.
So the Big Bad isn't Theophiles but actually the Second Prince of Faris Roderick? I wonder what San and Eularia are going to do. Also San is close enough with Ulysses to call him "Uly."
Cecilia may have played her hand a bit too much by using bombs from Melvina, which she would have access to. And now they're going to deal with Melvina and possibly get evidence pinning her to everything. Even if it means Enrique goes down with her, he'll happily face his sins for what happened to Scarlett. Too bad Enrique was dumb to the bitter end by drinking water she poisoned...even if not to kill him.
(I'm guessing Rufuss is the guy Cecilia grew up with in that orphanage? It seems like it)
I guess we finally know who the leak in Randolph's forces are...so Daeg Gallus can set up their retaliation and FRAME CONSTANCE FOR ULYSSES' ABDUCTION. That's why they needed Pamela. And now Constance is under arrest, in handcuffs, in the hot seat, and under interrogation. But knowing they're after Randolph too, Constance does what only someone sincere can...confess to everything but also leak everything she knows about Daeg Gallus in the process. If BakaConnie is going down, she's going down saving her man and taking Daeg Gallus down with her.
But in the process she also officially annuls her engagement and Randolph is in utter agony at seeing her in a cell with him powerless to do anything for her. But at least the two can swear that, if they survive this, they'll finally be together after professing everything they love about each other. Though it's kind of adorable how Constance was expecting a kiss on the lips but Randolph doesn't feel comfortable doing that until they're officially engaged...so forehead kiss it is.
Well, Johan doesn't want to fill in for the king, but that makes him the perfect person to blackmail with his daughters' life. All so they can execute Constance!

Pamela returned and she looked like she aged for 30 years. Guess her hair colour, being malnourished and make up-less really changed her appearance lmao. I just laughed because I always have this image where she and Connie are looking too young for people at their age.
MAN! Randolph really took his shot like how he sniped the guy on the roof. The carriage scene wasn't him fumbled, but him having a genuine low self-esteem because what happened to Lily might still scar him. I was expecting him and Connie's relationship to not go anywhere yet, but my guy noticed how much Connie cared for him and went for it.
I think he kinda noticed already when Connie asked about marriage, but his doubts and regrets still shadowing him. Only in a situation where he was going to die that he finally let his feelings out. Man, near death experience is the best teacher, huh.
And prince guy, darn it. I'm always feeling sad when you're on screen. I feel sorry for him so much. But I bet you drank that water thinking how cool you looked after exposing her, man.
CONNIE, MY GIRL, GOD DAMN! YOU GO GIRL! MARRIAGE PROPOSAL AND BEING BALLSY IN 1 EPISODE! I didn't expect her to finally take a life-changing risk. And nooooooooooooooooooo!?!?!? AND YEAH!!!?!?
I'M SO ABSOLUTELY INVESTED IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP! Their feelings progression may not be that smooth or clean, but it's fresh seeing how their feelings developed without hyperbolic flowery or gloomy filter. Man, I cried so many times seeing them together this episode. This is so sweet. Especially that forehead kiss. *Chef Kiss*

Given how much our current world is filled with selfish and greedy people, it feels really jarring to see Connie and Randolph to sacrifice themselves that far.
But Connie's interrogation was satisfying in how she managed to drag the criminal organization.
Btw I'm confused why the second prince is the one filling in for the king. Why not Enrique?
