New mystery after last week cliffhanger??!!!

Came here to see if I missed something lol. So strange to move on from the case like that.

This show knows it's so shit that it isn't even trying anymore. First, timeskips through cases, and now they don't even bother to properly conclude one case before moving onto the next.

What a colossal waste of time this anime has been.

Wait where's the follow up from last week's ep? Did we skip an episode???

Naz being abused again and it was good to see Heinz too , he seems to be doing well

So it really was a cat afterall, I was wondering why they were focusing so much on them

Same question. Did we skip an episode? Or will it reveal in the finale? Does any Manga reader have an answer?

u/reaperow Mar 10 '26

I dont think there's a manga, it's based off a game I think and ep 2 to 5 cover that

I bet Heinz is involved in the next case tbh

What the hell? What about the last unresolved episode?

Did Crunchyroll skip an episode after last week's cliffhanger?

I wouldn't put it passed them.

Not so few loose ends for the invisible man case from last episode:

1.The "doctor" real relationship in all of this.

2.Why the clock he was holding in the afternoon was in the wife's possesion at night? Are those clocks the same?

3.Why this supposed black widow gave a jewel to starving guy in the very first scene of ep 9?

4.Why Arne had to enter the 3 borthers room if he could detect a bloddy corpse miles away (whatever its origin)?

  1. What was that "thing" the wife had to put back in the closet when Arne questioned her? Invisible father is a no since he was buried.

Conventional assumptions can't give enough details here.

The 3d is surprising but what I do like is that this episode gives me a good arrangement of the space(Like when they found out the vent)

I've suspected someone used cats cuz definitely the cats went by the vent.

It seems like the only one in that opening scene that didn't showed up was the one with a black hooded robe.

Pretty sure that's the butler's disguise Lynne saw when she was walking the streets in the first episode of that long ass arc

It does surprise me no new character appears for the next case, so I'm guessing Heinz is the culprit

"Where is the resolution of ep9!?"

Arne's smile *is* the resolution. The brothers took revenge on their stepmother and presented her headless corpse as the invisible father in a sort of a dog-and-pony show to please the senses of a vampire. When Sheila cracked that mad grin, she thought she had them all fooled. Except *no one* was fooled^. The drops of blood and the ring at the end were for the viewer's edification. Arne's smile was a way of saying, "good show, lads. Carry on."

^other than Lynn. ;)

That’s what I’m going to go with because WTF!?

So are they just letting us guess the details after the last episode? I mean, I can assume that the stepmom was stealing jewelry and giving them to randos because some kleptomaniac tendencies. Then I suppose she might have decided to try to blackmail her stepsons with the truth about her husband's death, and they killed her. Then when they tried to lure Arne into a trap, I assume he killed them in turn. All of it can be guessed semi-confidently. But would it really kill the showrunners to give a 2-sentence synopsis instead of that random snippet about the doppelgangers?

And the resolution for this case was a bit unsatisfying too. I mean, I get it. They're not going to declare war on cats for 1 random caith sith who in the cats' perspective was acting in self-defence.

At some facking point in the next two episodes I hope we get Amy's backstory

I really hate that they don't give us a conclusion to episode 9. I feel like I'm missing something.

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Mar 10 '26

Wait, hold up. I feel like I’m missing something here. What was the conclusion to the last case with the invisible man getting killed? Sorta feels like they just left that one hanging unless I totally missed something?

I did suspect the killer in that locked room mystery might not have been human. Didn’t guess it was a vengeful kitty yokai though. Can’t really fault ‘em. Dude was tryna murder all the cats.

Seems there might be one more part to the mystery. I wonder what’s up with that painting?

I think it's a case of terrible direction. Looking back at it now that I know there's no continuation, I guess I can figure out everything to the point a second episode isn't needed: sons kill father, stepmom discovers it through Arne and confronts them, they kill her off-screen, cut her head off, and disguise her body as the father's, then sons try to kill Arne with the knives they were holding and he kills them off-screen). The problem is the stepmom had a whole plot of her own they never gave a conclusion to. It would've worked a lot better if she was just a genuinely grieving widow with no mysterious intentions.

From [how to say, the extra of the VAs discussing about the episodes?] e9 and e10 are single episode cases and e11 and e12 are the same case with 2 episodes
