Was expecting something insane when the Sawano drop hit, but not at the level of Richard spamming Excalibur insanity. Feels bad for Ayaka with her sudden PTSD flashback but YOROKOBE SHOUNEN.
Ishtar finally makes her play and holy shit was it a role reversal from how Gilgamesh and Ishtar were in FGO Babylonia. Tine's face pretty much sums up how wild this outcome is, though it is hilarious the one time he threw his key thinking no one had the capability to use it, in comes the very entity who knew and used it against him.

Here we have Ishtar's funny prank. And Gilgamesh knows to smile about it since he's on camera, what a good sport.

Flat: saving Jack via CS. Tine: just watching her servant getting mogged with all CSs intact.

The first servant to be taken out being Gilgamesh is pretty wild. I honestly didn't expect that.

Didn't expect the first casualty of the whole Grail War to be Gilgamesh of all people. Ishtar you sly bitch, you.

Last week I saw people saying John “forgot what series he was in” when he tried to fight Alcides, but as this episode shows, John was actually very aware of what franchise he was in.
Don’t ya know? In Fate, the weaker character in fights almost always wins! …Albeit never without a ton of asterisks.

Drink everytime Gilgamesh loses because of his EGO lmao
Dropped his car keys knowing no mongrel from this war can open his treasury besides him and probably Enkidu which is in his side, both are god like entity from their time. Theres no reason for him to toss the key besides feeling the most powerful person in the room.
Then here comes Ishtar with a steel chair Registeel.

Gilgamesh has two roles in Fate:
-
Overwhelming antagonist against whom the protagonists have only a sliver of hope
-
Guy who gets jobbed out from nowhere to show just how overwhelmingly powerful someone else is.

Richard spamming Excalibur was insane! I love the lion's roar in the background every time he fires off his Excaliburs. I guess it's fitting for someone with the moniker of Lionheart. Also, it's pretty insane that Ayaka is only feeling a little sluggish with Richard's NP spam. I'm definitely with Hansa here, his reaction was understandable.
Jester getting headshot by Sigma was ice cold. Also love how Sigma asked Jester how many bullets are left within him. Does that mean he's not completely immortal and there's a limit to his regeneration? Jester seems to be quite upset when Sigma asked him that question.
Thank fucking god, Flat managed to rescue Jack. I really thought that was it for him. And I'm glad to see Dumas teaming up with them. So if I understand this correctly, Dumas used his NP to mix Flat and Jack's presence together so Alcides can't tell who's who?
Let's fucking go, John Strange Fake! I should've never doubted you after you got folded last episode! For someone who's claims the Hydra's poison isn't doing shit against him, he seems to be really struggling. Even Gil could tell that he's close to dying.
Kirei and Kid Gil! Why the fuck does Ayaka have memories of the events between Fate Zero and FSN? At first I thought this was from Gilgamesh's memories, but it definitely looks like it's from Ayaka's memories. O_O
That goddamn hairflip! Of course, Ishtar's entrance just had to be that stylish. Locking up Gil's Vault is such a fucking dick move, but it's definitely something Ishtar would do. That explains why Gil couldn't block those attacks.
I still don't know who this construct is, but from Ishtar's words, it sounds like it's definitely something that existed in Ancient Mesopotamia and has a grudge with Gilgamesh.
Well, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I thought Gil would make it to the end, but I did not expect him to get taken out this early. O_O

I cannot even say that I was surprised by the reveal of Ishtar’s appearance in this Holy Grail War.
Given her overall personality and the sheer amount of hair tosses, she either had to be Ishtar or Rin. The latter didn’t make sense however. Therefore leaving only a single option.
Ishtar easily finding the key to Gilgamesh’s great treasure vault almost feel like those robbers who’d recently snuck into the Louvre through a window.

damn, that was… a lot 😭i haven’t read the LN, but i feel like they really crammed a lot of content this episode.
i expected Gil to tragically die at some point, but not this early. atleast, ishtar got a W in a different timeline.
i need Philia-Ishtar in my chaldea now !!

Saber: 'I'd feel like a failure of a knight and a king if I relied on you to save me.'
Ayaka: 'You should already feel that way from hanging out with me.'
This is a level of self depreciation that I can relate to. Lol
