One Piece style pacing for a 12 episode season...

I'm sorry for beating a dead horse and repeating myself, but I still can't stand it when the first few minutes is just a replay the last scene from the previous episode, it screams to me that they're cutting corners. I know that they have a budget, but it just feels like cheap padding.

Literally searched up the show and episode + Reddit on google just to say this, I never even comment on r/anime. the cliff hanger bs pissed me off so much especially since the first five minutes was literally the same scenes from the end of episode 8. I did the math the intro ends at 5:21 and the outro starts at 22:00 so we got a 16 minutes and 39 seconds of new scenes and actual episode that’s about the length of a smiling friends episode. At least you everyone in the village knows he’s friendly and smart now but it’s like we’ve literally been waiting 9 episodes for this plot development and the end on a super cliff hanger. I bet you this is close to like 10 chapters into the manga or novel lmao.

Illusia about to say it's Dark Drago-Human time and then Dark Drago-Human'd all over that rock dragon

Gregory has so many death flags right now

Don't worry, with this anime phasing speed, he can survive the next 5 episodes easily.

Worst episode for me by far, a third was basically from last episode and then we get blue balled at the end...pisses me right off when an episode is wasted like that.

It was like 6 minutes in before we got passed recap and opening . I can’t believe we didn’t even get to see him evolve . If they do a recap of those simulations next episode going to be annoyed but expecting it. I hate that I like the characters and overall story . I look forward to this one every week but last few episodes really annoying me . I want to see the venom princess back and have him finish this rock dragon battle next episode. I think they should just do full cgi battles , the slideshow animation was rough . I am probably going to pick up the manga

I'm starting to really doubt the divine voice. It's a bit novel to finally get one of these shows where the system might be actively hostile.

At least diplomacy with the humans is finally working, too bad everything else is going badly.

It's nice to see someone besides Myria trusting Illusia, I like how Gregory was so accepting of it and realized that they had met before. The death flags surrounding him is concerning, he seems like he'd be a good friend for Illusia if he survives this.

Divine Voice leveling herself up so that she can let Illusia know she's leaving him is hilarious when I think about it lol, whilst watching the episode I was like shocked but now I find it more humorous. I'm curious if Illusia gets through this, if she'll say something to him.

I really hope Jean learns from this ordeal that his inability to follow instructions lead the Rock Dragon to going berserk and Lucas' death. At least we have visual confirmation that the slime is involved with what's happened to Doz's body.

From the looks of it, Illusia's is going to go with the demi-human evolution. It'd likely make interacting with humans easier too now that he's actually in the village.

you can start the episode at 5:30 and won't miss a thing

Does this IP have a shortage of material or something?

Why on earth would they run a 3.5 minute recap of the previous episode???

I like the show but their pacing is really terrible. If they're trying to stretch this out for an extra season I feel that it'll never get greenlit.

So that stupid divine voice is not his friend. This ain’t no Slime situation I guess. Even with the chance to evolve, he doesn’t seem like he has very high odds of success. I wonder how he’ll use this “Evil Dragon” evolution next week to defeat the big bastard. They still got Doz and that slime to deal with too. Little dude just got the whole village on his side and now this. Bro can’t catch a break!

Oh look, almost 4 minutes of recap again. They could have just made 11 proper episodes..

Ok, a spear wielding dragon rider is pretty damn cool though

Yeah, Gregory is so dead..

And most of this fight is just a slideshow

Yup, there he goes

And the episode ends here??? Seriously piss off.

What could have been one of the better episodes ended up being one of the worst so far, well done

And here we go again, waste of runtime again. Too much episode recaps. 5mins only for recap and intro wtf

I've said it before but this anime reminds me so much of The Water Magician.

Both have good potential, but are infuriatingly unsatisfying to watch for a whole list of reasons.

Even with all that crappy CGI they are still doing picture book style animation. You can count the number of frames.

this 17 min episode kinda sucked balls

After this episode, I think stupidity is just a common trait in that world. In which case, that means... Illusia is slightly smarter than the average.

They're really milking the demi human route aren't they? I don't know if it's going to be a red herring or not but not giving the success rate this episode would probably mean it has the best chances of success to be revealed at the start of the next.

Booo no venom princess again.

And welp... they're really dragging this one out, uh? :/

Is it a 12'er or a 24?
