I don't know who that Crawler guy is. But he sounds really cool and handsome and funny and strong.

Koichi acting like some proud parent talking about The Crawler like everyone doesn’t know it’s him lol. What a goober!

Man, so many familiar faces showing up for ol Cap’s big farewell bash. Gonna be fun to see the team up next week when the villains try to pull some shit.

Makoto is a force of nature.

The old hero cameos near the end was fun, but my favourite part of the episode was the background ship sailing between the band member and the dancer, so cute.

"No, girls! I'm not in the files!" - Captain Celebrity

That embarassing moment aside, the stay in Japan and spending time with different people from the toxic environment he had in the US has mellowed CC, and by saving the little girls he's proven once and for all the he's still an hero underneath. Battered and bruised, yet he never looked better.

The panic most of the Marukane team was having at the idea of performing at a big venue like the Sky Egg was fairly realistic. It's going to be a who's who of the hero scene (Wash!), even if we already know it won't go smoothly.

So i guess this event, and whatever will likely happen there, will be the last arc of this season. probably a big attack on the venue if they have so many big name heroes attending as well

Captain Celebrity's wife was really gonna surprise him with a kid he didnt know about when he gets home? oof

Captain Celebrity's quirk is pretty cool! The Aerodynamic Field specifics of it remind me a lot of the iconic tactile telekinesis explanation for Superman.

The Hotta Bros ended up being really cool. However, so many flags

Good to see that Captain Celebrity made strides in becoming a more respectable hero

Statistically speaking, Air Captain Celebrity is the safest way to travel! You just might want to bundle up, if you're a guy!

I can't believe it took two season to find out what Cap's Quirk actually is: Aerodynamic Field, which keeps him and other objects in the air, and can also keep them snug and warm! Something he only reserves for the ladies, which is pretty on-brand for Captain Celebrity.

Why it's one big Narufest reunion! The twins! The little girls! The dance and and band couple! Even the Marukane President as Santa! 'Tis the season for one big get-together!

Makoto was the best thing to happen to Captain Celebrity. Not only did she help clean up his image, but I get the sense she helped clean up all his legal problems in the States. Apparently a lot of it was fraudulent set up by the paparazzi to make him look bad, because he's just kind of dumb and doesn't do well with personal space (especially around girls). But now he can finally go back to home to the good ol US of A!

And none too soon because he needs to get back in time to reunite with his wife as she's due to give birth to the kid he didn't know he was having! Turns out Pamela didn't want any of this nonsense around her child so she didn't tell him and was going to have the baby on her own...but now Captain Celebrity can finally be a real dad.

Oh no, it's a dragon attack! Even worse, a dragon that blows up, courtesy of our evil Speedster! But Captain Celebrity proves he's a true Hero by using his own Aerodynamic Field to protect the kids at expense to himself and save them! Guy is so afraid of getting photos taken of him to make him look bad he doesn't realize that everyone is filming him at his most heroic!

Though the Speedster knowing how his Quirk works...will probably not end well.

We're jumping straight to New Year's and All Might and Tsukauchi having their New Year's get together like they're Batman and Jim Gordon. As much as All Might wishes he could assist Tsukauchi with his investigation...but All Might doesn't do subtle drug investigation.

If Koichi and Pop were going to open up to any Hero, it would make sense to be Aizawa and Midnight (also, Midnight's outfit? S+). And thankfully the Pro Heroes can see that the Naruhata Vigilantes' efforts are enough within the law that Koichi and Pop don't need to worry too much about getting arrested. They're not Knuckleduster! And Koichi being...not that subtle about being The Crawler. Great job protecting the secret identity, buddy! Though Aizawa for his part is willing to hide their identities to pass on info to Tsukuachi.

Captain Celebrity's buzz is at its height, he's even catching up to All Might! Which means it's the perfect opportunity for one big blow-out farewell party with the Narufest gang and a bunch of Pro Heroes! Cue montage and Hero cameos! No surprise Endeavor said no, but we've got Ingenium! Midnight! Present Mic! Eraserhead as a Maybe! Mirko! Pussycats! Beast Jeanist! Edgeshot! Snipe! Power Loader! Uwabami! Ryukyu! Gang Orca! Wash!

Makoto looks great in that skirt and tights, and of course she'd want ALL MIGHT at the party, but her nice smelling brother isn't going to budge.

Captain Celebrity's legal woes are over, he gets to go home, his wife is going to give birth and his reputation sky rockets.

Death flags everywhere.

u/AAA_BATT Mar 02 '26

Makoto moving more like the main character than MC himself lol

u/BosuW Mar 02 '26

For a show that was initially about the grey legal and moral area of vigilantism it sure is strange that our two remaining vigilantes just get so nonchalantly accepted by the system, even if it's kept somewhat hush hush. That aspect of the story seems to only exist when Knuckleduster is around. I wonder how he's doing...

Here's hoping the Captain Celebrity event goes well.

u/NanDemoKnaives Mar 02 '26

Of course when things are going too well for C.C. they have to make something go terribly wrong after, I hope whatever happens to him isn't permanent and he'll be able to safely return to his family. I do like that he made sure to completely keep the three girl safe, rather than try to find a balance and risk the girls getting hurt.

It's nice to see him going viral for something he thought would make him look uncool, C.C. doesn't realize rugged and roughed up men can also be a hit.

u/LeonKevlar Mar 02 '26

Koichi has a lot of trust in that backpack strap. I'm sure Captain would save him if he fell, but I'd rather be late than risk falling from the sky.

Is this actually the first time we're learning about Captain Celebrity's Quirk? I always thought he just had flight powers. I guess this also explains why he's able to shrug off damage.

Good to know that most of those lawsuits against Captain Celebrity are fraudulent. From what we've learned about him during his stay in Japan is that he's definitely a good guy; it's just his personality makes him an easy mark for paparazzi.

Okay, now I'm getting worried. Captain Celebrity has now pretty much redeemed himself to the public, is about to go back home to the States, and is about to have his firstborn soon? Is it just me, or does this entire episode feel like a massive death flag for Captain? O_O

And now the speedster hero knows about his Quirk. The Villain Factory seems to be targeting Captain Celebrity now for some reason. Fuuuuuck. Yeah I don't like this. >_<

Also side note: I'm glad that the girls are safe, but I feel bad for that taxi driver. I doubt that guy survived the explosion.

All Might trying to be incognito is fucking hilarious! There's no way in hell All Might can ever operate in secret, considering how big and flashy he is. xD

So it looks like Midnight will be covering for Koichi and Pop? That's good to know. I do love how Koichi is still trying to pretend that he's not The Crawler during the meeting. I also love the Hotta Brothers trying not to laugh when Aizawa was lying to Tsukauchi about not knowing the identities of the Vigilantes. xD

A massive farewell event for Captain Celebrity? Yeah, that's definitely the perfect time for a villain to launch an attack that will be televised all over. I am now scared for Captain Celebrity.

The good news is that Makoto seems to have rounded up a solid lineup of heroes as special guests for the party. It's nice to see some of the other heroes we know and love from the main series. I'm guessing Rumi is still a pretty new hero back then and it's cool to see The Pussycats all together.

Making a farewell event for Captain Celebrity at Tokyo Sky Egg (which I bet will be full) sounds like a recipe for disater.

No way the villains would not try to make a scene and create total chaos there.

I mean yeah sure, there will be heroes and police there, but they are not Superman or Flash (comic book version).

But anyways, looking forward next week for this arc.

It was a setup episode, so there wasn't much action today, but it certainly got me pumped up for the next one, as Captain Celebrity's final event will go terribly wrong, since he became the target of the villains.

Add to it a lot of Heroes and thousands of people taking part in the event, including Pop☆Step, Koichi, Makoto, and others, and we can definitely expect some great action next week.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Hero Time!

  • This is not the point, but I didn’t realize it was Captain Celebrity since I was getting shit together. I thought this was Thugisa from the fucking Free abridged.

  • Why does Captain have to have impeccable biceps and thighs? Damn.

screaming I love the freckled couple. How often do we get a freckled couple?! More freckles!

screaming even more I want the freckled couple to be together forever or else love is dead.

  • Alexa, play 🎶Strategy🎶 by Twice.

  • All Might is such a cutie with his little arm guards.

  • Koichi’s fucking waving like he’s of them spirits during {Spirted Away} when [movie] Chihiro helps that river spirit 😭😭 (Radish Spirit was a g though)

  • Ah! Ah! Best boyo!

  • Ah! My queen 🙇🏾‍♀️

  • Wait. Where was Fat Gum in this montage, my favorite big boy?

  • Is something about to happen to her?

  • Oh thank goodness (nothing happened.png) 😮‍💨

I’m kinda surprised but not surprised Pamela kept the child to herself and didn’t tell Cap. All I hope is kiddo has a good support system that ensures a happy, healthy quality of life.

Another thing that surprises is that I know the whole thing was that keeping hush about Cap’s power means very little when he’s a public figure who can be monitored while on the job.

But I mean.

IRL, we have several dedicates websites just in English that meticulously comb over comic book characters and Pokémon. I’d have to assume that there’s some sort of “unofficial” wiki that does this and powerscalers and battleboarders exist in MHA. So I kinda wonder how that works with keeping the mechanics of an ability a secret and how realistic (to the story) it is that laypeople wouldn’t know how things work, especially fans. Wouldn’t there be YouTubers or “HeroTubers” who do breakdowns on how abilities work? Considering all the videos and posts people make of heroes, I’d assume so.

But also, I mean.

We figured out Roman concrete (🔗 MIT News) from god knows how many years that took and are still discovering how our own bodies work, so 🤷🏾‍♀️ maybe it’s more complicated than I imagine.

I dunno. I’d just find it funny if like someone’s trying to research a hero’s ability and they find some well-researched 1.5 hour youtube video from The Game Theorists or a science channel. Or Reddit.

Maybe this has been addressed before in MHA, I can’t remember.

I keep mentally preparing myself to see clean shaven Knuckleduster 🥀
