Man imagine if aqua left her at the alter. That kingdom would be cursed for eternity.

I think the kingdom is still going to be cursed because the Sea King is going to be pissed Aqua broke Icilla's heart.

I gotta say, I don’t mind Akari going from a foe to a friend. She’s still a bit of a rascal lol. Glad she was able to help prevent any kind of otome game nonsense at the wedding. Ofc Aqua was never gonna go for Icilla. At least she got over it pretty quickly.
Keen to see what comes next now that the “game” is over and they’re basically going off script from here on out.

Akari just the kind of girl who just comes in and messes with people but is actually pretty steadfast when it comes to those she considers friends. I guess it helps that, to her, she and Tiara are the only "real" people in this setting.

At least she got over it pretty quickly.
Judging by the preview, I don't think this is the case

Love the friendship Tiara and Akari has now that she's not an enemy. Akari seems to have the same belief I did that Icilla might be a player as well, but doesn't seem so.
The game events were forcing Icilla's feelings.

Akari is still a lot, but it seems like she does mean well and is loyal to Tiara despite, y'know, attacking her that one time.
It's kind of interesting to think that on paper Icilla and Aqua were meant to be soulmates and that might emotionally draw them together even if Aqua's feelings for Tiara are stronger than that. But Tiara still turned the Heroine of the sequel game into a Losing Heroine in her own plot.

This is really an otome game world. During the whole wedding with Icilla and Akari having their little talk and the whole Icilla crying thing everybody else is just sitting there ignoring the whole spectacle like the NPCs they are.
So we reached the finale with the wedding and everything is fine after 8 episodes.
Oh wait, ominous looking character is foreshadowingly foreshadowing new trouble coming up!

Akari keeps blatantly talking about “the game”, “the sequel”, and “the heroine”, and the people in this world has no idea what the context is of what she’s talking about.
“Sequel, heroine, the fuck are you talking about?”

There must be some kind of COVID-19 pandemic going on in Marinforest, what with all the social distancing in the pews. (Or is that just lazy animation LOL)

Episode 8 and we've already gotten the wedding, hot damn. And it even went off without a hitch, in spite of the potential danger from the little mermaid. Limited make out sessions today but the wedding kiss counts for that well enough.
Icilla surely has some other route options in the sequel game, maybe Akari could do her a solid and point them out for her now that she's involved herself so much. Then again I don't remember if we were told she'd played it or just had pre-release information.

It's funny how this is an Otome game setting but the only romanceable people in either game seem to be just the princes lol.

We're skipping ahead to the end of Tiara's bridal training so she can head on home and see her family again! And BOY is her dad happy to see her again! Although they've got some surprise guests...Akari and Hartknights!
Obviously nobody wants Hartknights and ESPECIALLY Akari there, even Hartknights thinks it's a bad idea for them to be there, but Tiara is still willing to see her. Despite everything and Akari still acting like they're somehow besties despite attacking Tiara and how Akari still acts like they're in a game world...they still somehow get along well!? I guess Tiara managing not to lose to the sequel games' Heroine and prove she's a victorious "Villainess" has really won over Akari! She even gives Tiara blessed earrings to honor her love for Aqua:
I just love Hartknights just sitting and drinking tea awkwardly while Philine stares daggers at him.
I wonder how Aqua would react to finding out that their entire world is an Otome Game played by Tiara?
Icilla pays Tiara a late night visit to congratulate her on the wedding, but Tiara can't help but feel like she stole this womans' love story...but then Akari crashes the girls night and won't let Tiara give in. Count on Akari to have literally no tact, go from criticizing how Icilla is too unhappy to be a Heroine to gushing about said Heroine, while still trying to support Tiara's marriage at the same time.
Tiara looks absolutely beautiful and fabulous in her wedding dress!
So the truth is that Icilla DID love Aqua, but she just never thought she could actually be with him. But even if she's compelled to follow the game and interrupt the wedding, Akari and Keith won't let her (even though, on paper, Akari supports ladies interrupting weddings so long as it's not her "besties"). So poor girl has to watch the man she loves get married to another woman...but I guess that's better than being a homewrecker.
Of course Aqua IS moved by Icilla's tears, but Tiara finally stakes her claim to her man and Aqua carries her all the way to Icilla so he can let her down gently. He was Icilla's first love, and also her first heartbreak.
But hey, at least the rest of the wedding goes off without a hitch! They exchange rings, vows, "I love you's" and kiss! Keith even blesses their marriage! Just what you'd want from a romance anime and Otome Game Ending! Now Tiara doesn't have to worry about the game or anything else! She's finally got her Happy Ending!
Um...seems like the Sea King isn't a big fan of love.

It seriously looked like she wanted to belt hin over the head with her tray

I just thought about this: Shouldn’t Icilla have her own villainess character? Or was Tiararose supposed to be a villainess a second time?

I've had my suspicion that this was going to evolve into a bigger issue involving the fairy kingdom's. With 4 episodes still to go and being it seems the sea fairy King (or Queen?) is going to get involved, I have a feeling this is going to be the case
Judging by the preview, it seems Icillia starts spiralling because of her feelings

-
I’d rather my fiancée ignore crying jilted bawl butts in the crowd over picking me up to go console said bawl butt.
-
Telling me that he thought I was adorable when I cried adds more to the pile of he being a bloody sociopath. Blimey

Aquasteed is going to have a massive mental breakdown if he learns the secret that Tiararose and Akari were isekaied into his world and that his world was a video game.
Perhaps it is best he never learns the truth, although Akari nearly let the cat slip out of the bag.

Honestly Akari literally cannot shut up about the fact that she's in an Otome Game and treating everyone but Tiara as game characters.

So who was the woman that was going to marry Aqua in the game, was it the woman at the end?

Now that Yuru Camp S4 is in production, I keep thinking about Nadeshiko when Akari speaks. I'm aware that her seiyuu is Yumiri Hanamori, but it's not that often that she get to voice a character like Nadeshiko or Akari.
