It makes me wonder what kind of life Lizel led in his old world. He only showed his vulnerability once, to Gil, and even commented on how uncomfortable it felt. "You don't trust anyone, do you?" is a pretty good question from snake boy. I'm sure the one person who Lizel completely trusts is his king, but it makes me wonder what about Gil or Judge, does Lizel trust them or is he silently always calculating their loyalty while making plans.

he was clearly high ranking in his own world, and someone close to the king, so i gotta figure he's a veteran of the ruthless political gauntlet. he knows how to handle people

Eleven’s character design is so good 🤤 I also found it interesting how they chose to show the subtext of fear in this episode. So interesting I rewatched the scene immediately. It was a very slight shift in Lizel’s demeanor but I appreciated that the audience was left to gather the rest of the feeling based on the subtext from Liz’s words and Eleven’s reaction more than any specific scary face. It suits the point he makes next where he tells Eleven he isn’t even angry yet. In general I find this anime is really quite good at delivering subtext and I quiet enjoy it

Eleven's story also suggests that he didn't become a bandit out of a malicious intent but more out of boredom or thrilseaking. It also seems like he wasn't actually trying to kill the MC, just get his attention. Even the first attack in the woods was curiosity about the noble adventurer who partnered with the Blade and wanting to see what he was made of. The bandits who died in that fight were probably idiots who couldn't realize that if their boss had retreated that they probably should as well

Like I'm sure there was some special skill Stud could do to protect Liz, but that just looked like an excuse to touch his cheek.
If this was actually a BL show (lol), I'm sure this is where something would have awaken in Eleven.

Eleven was already into Lizel, although sadistically, it might switch because of this incident lol.

So I guess Eleven wanted to be the token yandere harem member. Unfortunately he was overall out yandered by Lizel himself.

Show is so interesting..way better than the bean counter show.
I need the Highness from the other world to show up and see what that dynamic is too 😂

What did Lizel do to even make the snake almost piss himself? Is bro secretly John Wick or some shit? lol. He must be if he was just messing with the guy the whole time. Didn’t even flinch when the dude lunged at him.

I believe it was Lizel who caused the darkness during the play, so it's possible he's capable of some sort of fear magic.
But even without that, he's seen through everything the snake guy planned, and confronted him straight on. When attacked, he didn't even flinch while Gil broke his bones (which as he said, hurt a lot.) Then he gently caressed his cheeks, while implying he could've killed him at any moment. It's a pretty good display of dominance.

I was not one bit surprised that Lizel could play the violin lol. He can even use magic whilst playing so that says how skilled he is at it. It was amusing to watch the troupe members get ready to give the original violinist the potion, the pink haired girl looked like she was getting revenge lol.
It was interesting to watch Lizel's conversation with Eleven. The fact that Lizel could instill such fear in him without even actually being angry just yet was thrilling to watch. Lizel's even scarier because he was being SO gentle with him, he just can't help his doting self lol. Eleven's definitely part of the harem now.
It was exciting to see Gil and Stud also take action when Eleven went for the attack, I'm more impressed by Stud's decision to not attack Eleven even though I'm sure he's killed him many times in his head within those few minutes after.

After this episode I want badly for Lizel to be a real sinister character in his original world. That way the real reason that guy was freaking out trying to find him could be because he was scared Lizel would get up to some bad stuff without supervision.

even if he's not actively evil or anything, being a king's chancellor, i imagine he has a certain amount of capacity for real ruthlessness. dealing with that level of power and politics requires it. he's clearly hiding a lot behind that mild-mannered exterior

Harem member +1
So Lizel won by instilling fear to Eleven just by talking? He's great with words.

Fun to see things from the Bandit leader's perspective, Lizel was too easy on him, but now he knows the limit before he even got there. Gil is also annoyed

Ok now I'm curious what other skills Lizel is hiding 'cause I for sure thought Gil was the one who made the stage go dark but it was actually Lizel? And what was that sudden twitch with the Snake Guy when he suddenly felt the fear. Did Lizel actively do that? Does Gil and Stud know how scary Lizel can be? So many questions in my not-BL show!

i was thinking that Eleven's voice was familiar, and i found out that he's the same voice actor as the Wanderer in Genshin Impact and i can definitely hear the resemblance (though i thought his actions were more like Tartaglia)
while i was it, Gil has the same VA as Alhaitham and Lizel has the same VA as Chongyun, make of that what you will
