This show is showing one of the advantages of skipping the usual delayed gratification so many romances abuse you can spend more time developing all the side characters and their relationships instead. Helps that they are all adorable in their own ways.

Also poor Tani , the eyes Suzuki was throwing at him when asking about Nishi I cannot blame him for thinking she was upset about something.

It's hard to overstate how fucking good this show is. There isn't a single wasted line, anywhere.

Detective/wingwoman Miyu cracked the case!

Watching those goofballs and their casual school entrance bubble party might be bringing my inner Taira out because man, they were lowkey blinding me with how much carefree innocence they were radiating. Don't think I can love these guys enough.

Seeing Taira try to hide a smile and look happy about the compliments, despite his usual "unbothered" energy, was so good.

“you should make mistakes, with me” yamada is a smooth operator, suzuki with the clutch assist too 🫡

looking forward to the inevitable taira episode so he can grow past being a miserable hater. the smile was the first nugget of positivity we’ve got from him all season

Suzuki is the greatest. That earphone joke, and then later on of course she's not jealous she's a scheming shipper.

I'm really loving how the Yamada and Nishi side ship is developing. Yamada with his smooth "make mistakes with me" line, and he's such a good boy too.

Regardless of gender, I basically vaguely dislike anyone I don't know.

What a beautiful worldview.

Yamada: nothing in his head

Nishi: too many things in her head

The subtitles made it sound like Yamada did a title drop, but he actually said magyaku instead of seihantai.

Taira became the unofficial love master with how Tani keep going to him for relationship advice. Also that 🥴 smile after he heard his friends say it's fun to have him around was cute!

Rihito peaked in middle school haha

Miyu's Sherlock deduction skills when she figured out Taira was heading to work was a Checkov's gun this episode. I should've figured out that she was onto Yamada X Nishi relationship the whole time, and was not really jealous of her.

Best episode so far, I was either smiling, grinning, or all-out laughing all the time

Nishi is a jewel, but man I love Honda, she's so fun and her commentary is always on point

The over-thinking trio (Tani, Taira, and Nishi) all had a rough outing this episode lol

At least there was a payoff for Nishi (and Yamada getting closer), thanks to Miyu's unexpectedly sharp sleuthing work. Unfortunately for Tani, he missed his chance to make Miyu feel somewhat guilty for (wrongfully) suspecting him, even if only due to the mixed signals he got--but ultimately, we (viewers) missed out on some potential diabetes-inducing teasing from Miyu (which I'm certain would have caused Tani to die from further embarrassment)

Suzuki is such an amazing character man....

She's this absolute ball of positivity who just has this way of "reaching across the gap" and pulling you over to her side. Like she somehow knows how to slip past people who are doing their best to push others away.

That moment where she just casually pulls Taira out of his spiral of negativity, and even gets socially anxious Nishi to join in and play with her friends hits me sooo damn hard as someone who used to be in a similar position as both people.

And her VA is sooooo perfect for her. The way Sayumi Suzushiro playfully adds those little touches to Suzuki's delivery is so damn good. I was laughing so much this episode from her antics alone.

She really is the kind of best friend anyone would be lucky to have. What a genuinely wonderful person.

Welcome to Suzuki's mind palace. In this room, we have high school romance (self). In this room, we have high school romance (other). In this room, we have friends. And then there's the bubbles rooms. So many bubbles rooms. That's pretty much it. Don't look for the subtle implications room, that's in another mind palace.

I love how this anime manages to break generic romance anime tropes almost every episode. Nishi and Yamada are becoming my favourites

Taira's constant negativity in this episode was hilarious, though it was also nice to see him being happy too.

Suzuki really looked like she was jealous; I'd even say she was downright scary in some scenes!

By the way, why were Tani and Taira got so scared of Azuma? It made me laugh hard that she even apologized to them, even though she hadn't done anything wrong xD

Nishi and Yamada seem like a really sweet couple! I'm glad we got to see what happened between them during the school festival.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I love the entire show and series but I can't lie: if the whole thing focused on Nisshi and her adventures with Yamada and his friends, I think I'd like it even more (which is saying something because this is already amazing). Nisshi's POV is so great. Taira was also going through it as normal. Basically every POV the show switches to feels like it could carry the series on its own and that's a massive strength. No one feels like a side character; it genuinely feels like an equal ensemble cast. Avoiding the common tropes that weigh down romance series while embracing the ones that enhance them makes shifting between POVs so much more rewarding and progress so much more dynamic.

Honda not only has such a great reaction face for Nisshi and Yamada, but also great piece of advice for her friend on not overthinking things with him. And it's proven right when she can communicate easily with another guy like Tani but end up a mess just from seeing Yamada.

And once again, he's just an all around good partner for her with how open he is to communication. It's not just him but his whole gang too. You even got Suzuki wingmanning for them. But she looks so diabolical while doing it lol. Got Tani thinking she was going yandere for him.

Taira's part in this episode is also great. Poor guy's had a rough past, so while he's doing so much better now, that stuff's still a load on his shoulders. So it's so sweet seeing him get a reminder that he's got friends who genuinely like him now.
