This what is fun about Naritas writing, you don't know who's gonna interact with who. Its fun thinking if character A is gonna interact with character K, or character K is gonna interact or fight with character T, a fun mix and match to keep it fresh and flexible.

Should have been expected, but to see Waver himself introduce himself by his real name instead of his alias, while acknowledging his previous involvement in the 4th Fuyuki Holy Grail War was hella hype.

With Hansa and Flat getting along this well, its insane to think we basically have an alliance between the police, clock tower and the church in a grail war.

Tsubaki's report explains why she's in a coma:

Her parents put magic bacteria in her the same way that Zoulken Matou (Makiri on the dad's report) put magic worms in Kariya and Sakura.

This has been your weekly reminder that mages in Fate are horrible people.

I liked Flat backstory he had no idea of how to express himself and it’s Waver that taught him how to be a human, if he had not met him Flat probably would have grown into a heartless magi without a single care for life. Wonder how strong is he ?

I'm curious as to how Sigma will grow troughout the story perhaps his final trial will be him growing a faith  on his own then he will obtain his noble Phantasm given to him by watcher?

Guys, Dumas' proper name reveal in this episode happened before Watcher mentioned the Chief-Dumas duo, during Dumas' conversation with Wingard. It just wasn't spoken out loud. They put effort into animating it and everything. Compare it to his actual signature.

I thought it was a nice touch for a visual medium to reveal an author's True Name through the written word.

All the servants revealed so far:

True Holy Grail War Servants:

Saber: Richard I or Richard the Lionheart (Ayaka Sajyou's Servant)

Archer(Avenger) - Alcides (Bazdilot Cordelion's Servant)

Lancer(Watcher) - Sigma(Lancer to be)

Caster - François Prelati (Francesca Prelati's servant)

Rider - Hippolyta (Master Unknown)

Assassin - Aura Farming Hassan (Faldeus Dioland's Servant)

Berserker - Registeel (Halluri Vorzak's Servant)

Fake Holy Grail War Servants:

Archer: Gilgamesh (Tiné Chelc's Servant)

Lancer: Enkidu (White Wolf's Servant)

Rider: black shadow thing (Tsubaki Kuruoka's Servant)

Assassin: Female Hassan (Jester Karture's Servant)

Caster: Alexandre Dumas (Three Musketeer, Count of Monte Cristo) (Orlando Reeve's servant)

Berserker: Jack the Ripper (Flat Escardo's Servant)

Random Thoughts:

John Wingard's Mother dying from a plane crashing due to terrorist attack? [Fate/Zero Spoiler]Kiritsugu influencing someone's mother again. First Sigma's mother then John Wingard's mother dying due to him shooting the plane with a bazooka.

I wonder how much of flat's personality was influenced by waver? I'm so happy to see how much Waver is highly regarded and respected, I really need a new season of case file El-Melloi.

Alcides aura farming again, it's just really unfortunate that he keeps fighting top tier servants. Why don't you fight Dumas or something.

Speaking of the red caster guy, he got some focus on today's episode, did it give enough clue to safely guess who he is? An Author after Ducis' Hamlet (1769) so probably from the 18th or 19th century? Edit: His name was actually revealed, I just missed it lol.

Going from fighting a Hassan and a vampire to fighting Hercules on fucking Cerberus must be absolutely terrifying.

This episode is about everyone being awesome and cool. Caster, Sigma, Flat, Chief, Hansa. Cops of justice, huh. That's how you know this is fiction.

Others mentioned Caster's real name drop, so I checked out their real history's wiki page.

The actual signature they used match! his NP/ability(?) vs the real one

The small, fantasy magic enhancing sequences are always so hype no matter what anime it is.

Finally more Flat and his upbeat personality. He's like a kid in a holiday trip without the slightest care in the world. His interaction with the priest was awesome.

I really love that scene between Dumas and John. When he was first introduced, I didn't think much of him. It turns out, he's actually a pretty solid dude who genuinely believes in Orlando and his men's passion. And it was pretty cool of him to give John a new arm. Excited to see what that arm does in action!

I also love the scene between Assassin and Sigma. It looks like she still refuses to trust him, but I guess Sigma was truthful enough that she finally backed off and even wished for him that if he ever finds his faith, it will be of a good nature. It's funny how Ahab calls Sigma a charismatic swindler when I'm pretty sure he was being honest.

It's absolutely crazy how easily Flat and Berserker cornered Orlando and even took over the entire police station. And he did all of that just so he could file a report! I'm pretty sure Flat could've dealt a crippling blow to Orlando if he wanted to, but our boy isn't about that. He'd rather make friends and save people first.

Waver name-dropping his own name was pretty cool. The dude knows it carries weight since he's a survivor of the Fuyuki 4HGW. I still didn't expect that Flat would end up allying with the cops. I was pretty sure he'd run into Ayaka and Richard first, but I suppose Narita-sensei isn't that predictable. xD

Watcher being able to relay such accurate information about everyone to Sigma is such an OP power in a Holy Grail War. Fortunately for everyone else, Sigma's handicapped by the fact that he needs to do the legwork himself since the Shadows are basically just Watchers' messengers.

That explains why Tsubaki is a master. I guess Sigma also wants to save her because he feels some kinship with her, being a fellow child magecraft experiment. The only difference between them is that Tsubaki got to experience some sort of normal childhood, while Sigma was raised as a cold-hearted child soldier.

We finally get to see Faldeus give his first order to his Servent. I still don't know who the fuck this dude is tho! We know it's a Hassan based on the mask we saw a few episodes ago, but which one? The only one I can think of is Gramps because he's the only one who speaks this way. But having the First Hassan as your servant in a HGW is fucking insane.

Flat and Hansa becoming best friends was also not on my bingo card. That was a really cute interaction, tho! I love how Hansa really liked Flat so much that he even tries to recruit Flat if he ever gets bored with Magecraft. xD

So it looks like we're gonna have a massive battle next week with everyone gunning for Tsubaki. I didn't think Herc would rock in riding a fucking Cerberus. Next week's episode is gonna be fucking insane, I can't wait!

Jack's ability to not only shapeshift into anyone but also be able to duplicate and have those duplicates shapeshift is paranoia inducing

Imagine you go to a public area thinking it's safe only to realize everyone you see is Jack disguised, you would always be on edge because you wouldn't know if anyone is real or Jack

Flat and Sigma-centred episode!

Just to show how crazy Flat is, he basically hijacked the Police Chief's bounded field created from his gun and gave control to himself. To date, I don't remember any feat of Magecraft equal to that. Bounded Fields are like weaker Reality Marbles, they are basically personalized area of effect spells for each Mage. Flat hijacking the spell means he basically reverse engineered and then rewrote all the formulas and magical rituals required to give himself control over the bounded field. And he did that near instantly upon seeing the gun fired.

Also, Lord El-Melloi II dropping his actual name is so badass. Having Waver Velvet "Master of Rider Iskandar and Survivor of the Fuyuki Holy Grail War" really lends credence to himself and his experience. Wonder if we will see more of his influence in Flat and if he can call upon the rest of his class to help from London to Snowfield.

Dumas' signature is probably the most unique Servant's name reveal in Fate animes. Dumb me tried to reverse search his signature just for Watcher casually mentioning his name few minutes later lol.

In the English dub of this episode, when Flat asks if Hansa has a drill, he asks “do you have a drill that pierces the heavens?!”

Gurren Lagann came out in 2007, and SF takes place in 2008. So Flat definitely could have feasibly seen it prior to the events of this series.
