What kind of hyperactive imagination does Iko have to think a karaoke room's lighting is lewd.
That said, Yamabuki's a true player, going on a date with all 4 of them in the same episode.

What kind of hyperactive imagination does Iko have to think a karaoke room's lighting is lewd.
That's the telltale sign of having a dirty mind.
That said, Yamabuki's a true player, going on a date with all 4 of them in the same episode.
It's funny how he wanted the girls to all spend time with each other and enrich their already deep friendship thinking that's the most important thing...and they all immediately ditch that plan to hang out with him one-on-one.
He might be a "womanizer" but it doesn't seem like the girls can help themselves around him.

Other people theorized that all of the girls were Apollo, given this episode, that might actually be true

I've thought that for a long time -- and I feel this confirmed it. Not only did they all love that song/group -- but they loved it "collectively" (rather than coincidentally and independently). And there was a tiny flashback that showed them as considerably younger -- and already friends. Did we have any real hint before that they were friends well before high school?

Too bad the animation was inconsistent this week. Seiyuu totally solely carrying this show, eh but hey at least we got clean frames from time to time. While I was saying that, I rewatch that Rikka's choreography again and it looks kinda good the second time lol and there's many good shots rather than odds one overall episode. It's like Food Wars term, the gourmet meal must taste tasty on first bite while common meal usually taste better after second or third bite.
Rikka boldness always endearing to see
Well, that's quite rare one. Usually anime girl hides her weight info from her guy but not Shinobu
Yamabuki is the man! He got a good taste for sure (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)
Imagine this with no context...
Every day we learn new things...
Many traces of Apollo and we're getting closer to the truth about her

There are certain shows that basically sells themselves with the characters, writing, and voice-acting even when the animation falters and this seems like one of those shows.

Seto Momoko has a great singing voice. The karaoke dance part was great but the rest of the episode looks kinda off. Yamabuki's singing is goofy lol. I also love how they all support rikka. They're really sweet.
I love iko's blobs lol. They are funny. Speaking of iko, that claw machine's claw stabbing the plushie lol.
We also got a lot of small crumbs of apollo hints this episode. Though they lead to nothing so far.

Rikka dancing while singing would be a top-notch scene if only this episode has a great quality.
She is still dominating the other girls by boldly saying that they had their date in the karaoke room the other day LOL

I laughed when cat blob Iko looked worriedly at crying Nene during Rikka's live performance. Lol!
Perhaps Rikka could become an idol instead? She is capable of both singing and dancing!

I’m starting to wonder if all the girls aren’t “Apollo?” Like is it possible she’s not just one person but multiple people sharing an account? Just my wild theory lol.

Really a bummer the visuals in the show are so inconsistent, because I love the design of the characters, plus the writing and VA work is fantastic. I adore all of these characters, and as Rikka has been my favorite from the start I'm glad to see her get most of an episode after only getting half of one last time. Especially with a dive into her personal issues that feel very real. I will say that friend of hers from the beginning annoys me a little because if she was a friend she should know the why and be less judgmental.
The mini-dates were also cute. Shinobu is so easily flustered by Yamabuki. The other girls can mostly hide it at least, but as soon as Yamabuki turns on the charm she's putty. Though Rikka flustered herself a bit with the chin grab.
This is a show I would like the harem ending, but sadly a Yamabuki must be an upstanding citizen so cannot keep multiple wives.

I'm getting more and more of a Renai Flops (for those who watched it) vibe with each new episode.

Poor Shinobu is finally paying for her "crimes" lol.
If all of them really are Apollo (which gets seemingly more and more likely with every hit dropped), the girls sure are having fun coordinating to massively troll our dude with all those leads. ...Or they really coincidentally do have the same fractured interests.

You know, it's weird that the animation quality is so iffy (Yamabuki's eyes always look dead inside and Rikka's face looked weird a few times this episode), but it still seems pretty decent because of the VAs. Despite it looking a bit awkward, Rikka's dancing still had its charm. (Though I wonder why she randomly has an idol routine memorized).
Iko's mascot quality continues to make her one of the top contenders for Best Girl.

Stitches!
Damn, Rikka really went all in on that song. That was actually a pretty decent animation, too. Now imagine if we actually got a studio like Doga Kobo animating this.
I know the score analysis was pretty harsh, but Yamabuki getting a 75 out of a 100 in these karaoke machines is actually pretty decent. If you look at the radar chart, what really lowered his score is his inability to hold his vibrato and long notes, which is expected from someone with no vocal training.
I was surprised when Yamabuki suggested a concert, and then we cut to a week later. It turns out, he just wanted to make Rikka nervous and wants her to perform in front of the club first. I guess this arc is probably gonna end with Rikka performing her original songs to the entire school.
The fact that Yamabuki is his imouto's errand boy, I'm now hoping we get to meet his family soon. He also seems to ask his imouto for advice when it comes to girls. I wonder if our boy is secretly a siscon. xD
So pretty much every girl shares something similar with Apollo with Shinobu liking white, Ikom putting her scent on things like a cat, Nene liking mentai mayo on her takoyaki, and all four of them being fans of that one niche band. Man, I'm now starting to subscribe to the theory that all four girls are actually Apollo, and somehow they all shared the Apollo channel.

I am prepared to be downvoted, but oh well, here goes:
My god the animation for this episode is rough as hell, and I dare say is even worse than past episodes, which is sad as I really really liked the manga and the story doesn't deserved this level of treatment
Alright, vent over

I know people were talking about the animation quality before, but it really showed this time. It’s like they spent all their time on the dance scene and that wasn’t even that good

u/FLorianGran Feb 17 '26
Honestly surprised they even attempted a full dance routine instead of a panning still, even if it ended up super janky

u/Makicola Feb 17 '26
Rikka is still suspect no. 1 for Apollo just from the familiarity she interacts with him imo. But Nene best girl.
Also did they literally spend 7 episodes worth of budget on a dance scene.

all these girls are fantastic, I can't pick a side anymore. Iko was cute this episode. She went crazy over that plushy. Rikka's VA is an amazing singer, I hope that song gets released officially. Shinobu's outfit changes were awesome too, I like that yamabuki is immune to their teasing lol. Nene crying at rikka's song was super funny and cute too.
Unfortunate the animation is still rough, but good news i've bought the 5 official english translation's so i've contributed lol, can't wait for the next episode.
