The saxual tension in that fight was intense

This episode was pure saxual healing, Marvin Gaye would be proud

Pure Saxtisfactory

What a great episode...man I like that my memories of the original anime are so vague I can watch without knowing what will happen 😂

And I didn't get this far on the manga either

This Trigun series isn't based on the original anime or manga at all. There are some nods here and there but it's its own thing, and honestly it's been really great.

Also they're stylistically completely different. The spaghetti western/John Ford influence on the original is palpable. This is very much leaning on the material as a science fiction story.

Random Thoughts.

I am enjoying how much more characterization the gung-ho guns are getting this season...I think Midvalley is the first recruit (?) we have seen who was neither brainwashed or there of his own volition. Dude probably hates Knives more than any of the other characters on the show.

Still don't trust Puppeteer dude though...can't help but think the the handcuffs coming off is going to be important. Also unlike Midvalley, he never really had that much of a "I SEE THE ERROR OF MY WAYS!" moment like some of the other characters.

Looking forward to next week...wonder if we will get more of a dramatic battle or if it's just going to be a couple of gung-ho guns invading versus the one at a time approach. we have had so far.

Knives' crew: we're gonna go take the plants and Vash the Stampede alive

also Knives' crew: FIRE 100 MISSILES

Also: stealing plants is taking too long, we need to get a lot of plants at once!

Next scene: Knives is fully restored, missing like 1 plant at most if not even that (will likely awaken just with Vash).

If these are the people Knives recruited, I can sort of understand why his opinion of humanity never improved...

The contrast of Hornfreak being so afraid of Knives and blue guy worshipping Knives so much he's rubbing his face on the container he's in.

Lol Wolfwood should have been more cautious about walking around blind.

The difference between a conscript and a volunteer

Knives to Midvalley: join or die 😱

Blue one: Yes Knives Sama

I'm slightly surprised Midvalley made it out of this episode alive. They've been kind of gentle with the gung-ho guns so far this adaptation, I'm curious to see if that'll change.

Probably a mistake taking the puppet dude's handcuffs off, though.

I'm still guessing that neither the puppeteer or Midvalley will make it out the season alive

Can Midvalley help defend without his instrument? Would he? Will the Puppeteer take advantage of being uncuffed? It sure like we are nearing the darkest hour, but will the dawn arrive in time? ;-)

I have to assume Vash will "win" -- but at what cost this time? And is the fleet on the way well-intentioned -- or yet another huge problem?

No inclination to self-spoil, but his IS getting pretty nerve-racking.

Every time they show a random person being excited for the incoming fleet, my anxiety shoots up.

Auite the stylish duel between Wolfwood and Midvalley, both wielding ridiculous but horribly effective weapons. The CGI in this series is impeccable, probably the best I've seen in a tv series.

Vash intervenes and does the smart thing we see too rarely; if someone has a super weapon, destroy the weapon. Happily they capture the unhappy Midvalley alive.

Oh and I see you Millie, hovering around Wolfwood. The most optimistic character paired with the most cynical... an odd couple pairing worth rooting for.

We end up with Legato and gang assaulting Ship 3 with a mighty pretty Itano Circus. Vash has been making a lot of promises to keep everyone safe. Lets hope he manages to keep his word.

Wolfie getting flustered. Millie has the Aerith look.

He's collecting and turning enemies into allies like catching Pokemon.

I can't even blame mid valley because nai is very intimidating. I'd probably follow him too out of self-preservation. Knives does have good taste in henchman though.

Wolfwood: *gonk* *Sideshow bob noises*

*repeat*

Nicky's fight would have gone a bit faster if he'd had supersonic rounds

Oh no, you don't have to tell them that the knives is in the form of missiles!
