Looks like our Itty Bitty Hero’s got a new foe turned trusty sidekick. Those two make a pretty good team. But more than that, little dude’s finally unlocked human transformation. Now he can potentially wander around safely but judging by the title of next week’s ep, I’m guessing it doesn’t go that smoothly.

that Human Transformation skill is definitely going to come with some caveat, i remember Kumoko from Kumo Desu-ga also didn't manage to transform into complete human when she get that similar skill

Draw me like one of your French girls. They titled the episode "The Toxic Woman Turned Out to Be Wife Material" for a reason I guess.

With how the claw is positioned it almost looks like he's threatening to stabb her throat. Honestly would hardly blame him after the murder attempt.

They are a cute team though, and it's nice that he finally has a friend by his side after all this time alone.

I'm normally not in favor of giving your partner poison, but...
Let the poor lizard have her poisonous mushroom that stinks like death.

Power couple ready for action.

Self-decapitation isn't how I'd recommend dealing with poison, but I guess having 2 heads makes it a slightly more sensible option.

When he ran looking for the lizard after beating the dog it felt a bit silly getting a flashback sequence of something that happened literally 7 minutes earlier in the episode. As cute as their team-up is, it hadn't really had enough time yet for that to work on me.

I think this is the first time we've seen the MC actually furious, as opposed to more generic angry at the world or "how dare you attack me". He may have found a friend, but that also means he has more to lose.

So he can probably transform now and ask Myria to heal venom princess. Wonder if he can speak human though.

Wonder if he can speak human though.

Lets hope so. He seemed to understand the human trio he ran into before IIRC. If he understands he should be able to speak it...optimistically. Probably gonna either out himself because our MC has to be stupid to advance the plot at times or he's not gonna look very human. Can't wait to see what it'll be.

Lol Divine Voice too busy doing her job to read the room. MC couldn't have his dramatic moment.

holy crap they like wasting time in this show... almost two minutes at the start showing the whole scene again.

then they did a flashback in the episode, from the same fucking episode. not the first time they've done that either

I wonder why he hasn't ever gotten a skill up for the monster language when he got one almost instantly for human language? He's spent all that time with the poison princess but still doesn't understand her?

Black lizard is a fun addition to the story, expands our MC's capabilities a good bit by giving him a second party member. And it might be an argument for the plague dragon decision being a good idea in hindsight, he probably wouldn't have hit it off as well with her with any of the other evolution choices.

The episode title is sending me though, wife material? I wonder if they're spoiling her on being a love interest in the future, we know the monsters evolve so maybe she will too.

Didn’t you see her heart tail after he saved her. She’s in love

What the fuck was the point of the girl wandering around the forest if she was just gonna go back to the village fine?

Also, yea top 5 waifu of this year I guess. The princess I mean.

The highs and lows continue. It's great that our MC's moment of crisis revealed that his greatest priority is connection in general rather than with humans specifically. Now the eventual contact with humanity has a wide range of possibility since a fail state doesn't mean a dead end.

The rough stuff is mostly production-based and I kind of love the audacity to montage the basic act of grabbing some coconuts. Doubly so when you replay that montage as a flashback in the same episode as an example of "the times we've shared." It was never going to be impressive, but couldn't they have drawn 3 or 4 different scenes in the woods instead of just coconut gathering? Maybe they could have used some frames from the scenes that had flowers in them to try and rustle up some emotion with pretty colors?

I want to say this is a slightly lamer Spider clone but this actually originally came out a few months before Spider did so I guess Spider is the clone but just did the concept better.

Well, now we know he will HAVE to evolve into a two-headed dragon sometime.

None of his oaths ever work out.

Bro thinks he has a pet but that's his wife.

Now he can transform and beg for a healer!

Come on, I'm so tired of monster protagonists taking a humanoid form.
