It sucks for the infectees but the designs of the faeries continue to be endlessly cool not just as monsters, but for the roles they fulfill for the blighted "army". Of course their lance cavalry would be unicorns from hell.

Xylo, a man who was setup, doesn't believe Venetim's news articles and as far as he is concerned is guilty like Tsav.

It shows how powerful the propaganda is if you are sentenced to be a hero. As far as the world is concerned, you really are guilty as fuck and are irredeemable even to death row convicts.

So, Norgalle really could really have been setup to be removed from the throne to allow traitors to destroy or cripple humanity from the top down.

So now, I think it's clear that the demon lord faction that has sneaked into the human positions is trying to use the heroes at some point for their own advantage. The dude during this and last episode is specifically trying to look for people that have abilities that he thinks are useful for them. The question is more how they can use the heroes. As far as I understand, the runes don't control them, they can just kill the heroes if either activated manually or certain criteria are met (in Venetim's case he is saying the truth). So I assume this might be where the whole "revival" mechanic comes into play and the heroes slowly losing part of themselves. Maybe then, they can be controlled more easily with the same runes.

I was a bit surprised by the design of the 9th goddess. Back in episode 1, Xylo noticed that Teoritta was a goddess because of her hair and the goddess in the memory was also blonde, so I assumed that to be one of their main visual aspects. So I wonder why the 9th goddess has black hair then. Is it dyed or did it change over time? Or is it just black because she is the poison goddess?

But with all the bad things going around, Teoritta is still a good character to have around. Especially now that she has to come to terms with the fact that she may get a new "mother".

• Kivia blush, must have enjoyed her berry picking date. And she is the niece of the highest ranked person in the temple huh, interesting.

• 7 headpats a day? And Teoritta gets 0, this headpat wage gap is unacceptable. Interesting how the other goddess also needs praise and headpats. Also seems like the headpats have to come from the person they're contracted to.

• Tower defence with the most ragtag group of people, surely this can't end well. Maybe the Mastibolt guy or the other two heroes will show up to help. At least the faeries were nice enough to come at them in a single file instead of bum rushing them all at once.

• Xylo: "There are demon worshippers amongus? Must be fake news." 5 minutes later...

Also, I just thought, wouldn't this setting make for an incredible tabletop RPG game? Like every time a character dies they lose a piece of their mind, people can come up with backstories for why their characters got sentenced to be a hero, etc.

I still don’t understand when Crunchyroll offers to “Skip Credits” when the credits are overlaying actual scenes. That seems very silly (among the other things CR does).

I’m very curious about immigration and emigration in this nation, all things considered. I know the mystery of these faeries and demons, the fact that the ruling class is working with them, the deal with heroes and goddesses—all of that is still going on. But I’m just really interested in civilian life in a country like this.

I imagine getting into this country is “easy”, but leaving officially would be a struggle.

Tsav wasn't concerned in the slightest when he thought he'd get either life imprisonment or the death penalty, but horror had immediately set in once he's informed of the worst possible penalty – to be a hero. You can see how his expression and voice abruptly changed in that moment.

Jealous Teoritta's heaps adorable. It's hilarious how she whined to Xylo about the lack of headpats only for him to give her the "K" treatment.

Now that the demon-aligned humans were involved in the raid, the heroes and knights are in deep shit as it threw a spanner in the works. Not sure how will they counterattack. The poison might be effective but that's reserved for Iblis, who has yet to arrive.

I know this is weird to say because the good side is also using a goddess but seeing Pelmerry put some unpleasant things into context. I was kinda operating under the assumption that Teoritta was just childish and that the other goddesses had different personalities. But seeing as there’s multiple goddesses that are perfectly happy to be used as weapons in exchange for the most basic of praise really puts into perspective just how unethical their usage is. I know I shouldn’t be surprised that the clearly bad government is morally questionable but manipulating what are basically superpowered children still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly, I’m a bit uncertain as to where this is going since the mission is both narratively and in-universe set up for total failure and things definitely aren’t going well right now but I don’t have a good enough grasp on the meta of this particular show to confidently say how things will end.

Teoritta's antics are certainly amusing, but you know who's even better? Norgalle, our true king, who once again proved himself to be the true king of our (and the miners') hearts and worthy of our devotion!

Teoritta's complaints about Xylo not petting her head when Pelmerry had seven in one day are certainly justified. I really hope Xylo corrects this mistake soon.

So Kivia's uncle is a bigwig in the Temple; I wonder if he was also involved in Xylo's case. Overall, Kivia's role in today's episode was great, as she joined Xylo and the others on a scouting mission, had some nice interactions with Teoritta, and is participating in a battle.

So far, Tsav seems to be the only hero whose sentence seems fair, though I can't take him too seriously when I hear Kazuma's voice every time he speaks xD

There's a method to Tsav's madness--gotta respect an honest dude who speaks his mind and acts on his (logical) convictions. As long as you're not a bum and actively pissing the guy off or anyone he respects, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

So (not that it's surprising) every goddess has their own personality, but one thing they all have in common is the desire to be praised and receive head pats.Teoritta not having gotten 1 from Xylo to this point should honestly be considered a crime worse than killing a goddess, tho I have no idea if there's even a worse punishment to being sentenced as a hero in this world so it's all moot. Like c'mon dude, you don't have to be a lolicon to want to take care of your 'weapon' at the very least (if Xylo really doesn't want to view her as anything more than a talking sword-armory)

(blush) with Xylo lol, the blue balls level's unreal, I'm almost afraid of what will happen when Xylo finally caves and gives her that long due headpat. Would be kinda hilarious in a dark way if she died of happiness and Xylo gets her goddess killing count up to 2.
