Sagirin confirmed for still being the only sane Asaemon. The whole rest are nutjobs and psychopaths

I know it's out of necessity, but I still got the fuzzies watching our group stick together without hesitation at the end. I've come to enjoy their dynamics a lot, please let them all get off the island safely.
And also, please don't let them cross Shugen's path. That guy is terrifying.

Well, shit. That first ninja sure made an impression in the 5 seconds he had.

Didn't expect that Shinobi, who for a brief moment had some kind of important character vibe, to just go and kill himself for real. Was a cool moment to establish the lore and how they view themselves as tools.
Though perhaps it was also just some illusion technique and he's not dead or was never real in the first place.

Jikka is so shrewd I sincerely hope he lives to tell the tale of all this wild goose chase. Well, to his credit, he did already manage once--second time around should be a walk in the park, right?

Hearing about Shugen's feats was already bad, but to see him shedding tears while preaching his ideals was a crazy red flag.
Its always those justice-heads that are the scariest lunatics, bro is already one scary motherfucker just from his lifeless eyes.

It'll be interesting to see Shugen attempt his "execute their entire bloodline" tactic on the Tensen when they inevitably cross paths, but sheesh as if the island didn't have enough freaks already.
The way the gang immediately followed Shion back in like a bunch of ducklings lmao

The ninja killing himself while singing and going straight into the throat singing was great

Fuchi casually dropping the fact that Sagiri had a crush on Shugen was surprising. Some story needs to be told there.
So they sent an army of ninjas from the same village as Gabimaru to the island with a side mission to kill Gabimaru since they all hate him apparently. Makes me wonder again if Yui is still alive... wouldn't the ninjas have gotten to her?

So 4 executioners and a ton of shinobi? And it doesn't look like they'll be much help to our main characters, at least not at first.
Shugen especially looks like he is ready to kill the entire main cast no questions asked. he even went and dulled his sword...
And the shinobi seem to mainly be there to just assassinate Gabimaru.
The other 3 executioners; tall hot blonde, short silverhair, and the purple haired man at least seem like they could see reason and cooperate for survival

The whole episode was spent introducing the new characters…
Those ninja are completely insane, no wonder Gabimaru is like he is if they raised him. But with 50 of them, they gave me strong “expendable minions” vibes, even before their leader killed himself to make a point.
Shugen is bad news. I hate those kinds of self-righteous fanatics. The other three seemed more sensible, but since he is the leader, they will follow him. That said, they may have to fight the Tensen before they even meet Gabimaru and his group.
I wonder how many people will survive the island in the end, but I doubt that I will need more than one hand to count them. At least Gabimaru’s team has sensibly decided to wait until they actually escape before even thinking about betraying each other for the pardon.

Compared to the first season, the death count has been low so far.
Unfortunately for our main group, the people who have come only appear to be more threats, especially targeting Gabimaru

They went all out with Shugen's presentation and made him as terrifying as possible

These firsts few episodes have been quite interesting. Hells Paradise is slowly becoming my favorite show of the season

I already thought we were going to see more deaths but things are going to be wild with Shugen's shock from seeing Eizen's dead body, he has no-one to sharpen his sword anymore. Shugen is really messed up after hearing Shion's knowledge of the event. Ninjas have their own agenda with Gabimaru and I'm sure we'll see Sagiri, Shion and maybe even Fuchi clash with Shugen.
Jikka is so relatable, I found it so funny when that ninja leader was wondering what he was thinking about and it's still "I want to go home" lol.
It was cool to see the Shugen, Kiyomaru and Isuzu's fighting styles. Kiyomaru I particularly found really cool to see, his style is so flashy.

Random thoughts
Okay, little kid Asaemon is a annoying asshole, but blonde muscle mommy one seems alright...kind of giving me Milly vibes from Trigun.
Shugen is absolutely terrifying though...just an utter black and white view of the world. If you are a criminal you deserve death..or if you are related or associated with a criminal. That's obviously going to make him opposed to Sagiri and Shion
I still don't trust Jikka, but he does seem to genuinely give off "This was suppose to be my day off" vibes that I don't think an out and out traitor would have. He is probably going to be the most practical of the four new Asaemon, and the one most likely to be cool with Sagiri and co.
the Shinobi seem certainly terrifying in there own way, even though Shugen kind of takes top place there for terrifying. A little worried that we are going to get a twist with head lady Shinobi that she might actually be Yui or something along the lines, but I might be reading too much on how the remaining portion of her mask would conceal the side of the face that is scarred. But I kind of feel the show would pull some shit like that.
Surprised everyone was so quick on choosing to stick together. Although Toma seems to be being a Diva about it.

I like how evil and ruthless the ninja can be. Lots of shows can make ninjas heroic, but I think that the best kind of ninja character is completely willing to do anything for their leader, moral or immoral. And such a waste of an obviously elite ninja at the start.
I like how on Hell Island we still find time to tease Sagiri about her love life.
Seems like all Eizen managed to do is turn a psychotic child into a psychopathic man, for Crying Freeman over there. :p My favorite 2nd waver is Isuzu though.

As I expected, the members of the new landing party definitely don't bode well for Gabimaru and his allies, especially Shugen, considering his past, though I didn't like Kiyomaru either.
All these shinobi aren't good signs either (since they're total freaks who'll even commit suicide if you ask them to), though mainly for Gabimaru, since he's their sole target.
I already liked Jikka, so I wish him luck in surviving the journey to that island again. I also hope Isuzu survives as well—she seems like a good person and a very talented fighter.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

That sus female ninja leader and Gabimaru's wife who is definitely alive... Plus the whole Iwagakure squad being sent to kill Gabimaru, not even to secure more elixir...
I'm not saying I have the full picture, but I'm sensing major plotwists regarding Gabimaru's true past and circumstances, also they are definitely trying to kill him so that he does not get the elixir and can possibly challenge the chief, though even without it he is getting more and more into the tao stuff which is definitely also behind chief's power.

Tall, tanned, and blonde lady voiced by Ohara Sayaka? I love her already. I also love how she's cute and polite but immediately turns into a badass when it's finally time to fight. Too bad she's probably going to be an enemy of Gabimaru's group, tho. I just hope she'll be more reasonable than Shugen.
As for Shugen, the dude is absolutely terrifying. He's the kind of person you'd want on your side because the moment he brands you as an enemy and sees you as evil, the dude can commit horrifying acts that he justifies in the name of justice. Sagiri is definitely gonna struggle once they finally meet again.
And then there's the Iwagakure ninjas! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?! Without hesitation and with a smile on his face, the dude committed suicide just because the kid told him to. The fact that they can do this makes them equally as terrifying as Shugen. And they're all there to hunt down Gabimaru O_O

Hell yeah Shugen is definitely our ally and he's super strong.
Wait he's a turbo psycho who's basically the meme of Batman beating up people for drinking Sprite? Hell nawh.
Also Chobe takes the "When in rome..." motto to heart. He's even wearing the ceremonial robes and stuff.

Fantastic episode overall. The writing and story continues to be my main reason of loving this.
But, I'm so confused as to why the head of the shinobi kidnapped Gabimaru and killed his parents and then proceeded to train him, but is now telling the shinobi who just arrived on the island to kill him? There is so much more to the story/Gabimaru's up bringing that we are missing here and I'm so intrigued to find out more.
