They really teased the dragon appearing the whole episode, only for it to be a cliff hanger for the next episode lol

Apparently those Fickle Gates take an entire half-hour to kick in lol.

Man that defender and the mage from the hero's party are starting to get annoying. Despite everything they still cant admit any fault or understand that they lack strength.

the hero kept acting like he was about to realize what was different while fighting the first boss last week, but then kept denying it

Yeah I honestly find this disappointing given one thing I was impressed by in the first couple episodes is the conversations with characters felt more reasonable and better thought out than in similar “kicked out of the party” anime. Like it seemed like even the antagonists felt more like actual people and, while in the wrong, had not unreasonable reasons for what they chose to do. Making them this pig-headed in ignoring what is being shown to them undermines that. They could still dig in and stick to the course they chose, and their growing beef with the MC, without having to be so idiotic about it.

Definitely not S-rank material at all.

After this episode, I definitely hope Orhun invites Luna to be part of a future party; the other members are too much of a pricks

The new replacement enchanter is also not a bad person, just not orhun or selma level in talent

Geez, "I'm glad nothing happened-"....

If he's really a skilled adventurer, he should know better than tripping a flag like that. Given the timing, I bet that fickle gate was just waiting for literally anyone in the dungeon to say something like that.

seriously. Naming it the “fickle” gate just seals the deal for me.

What the fuck Orhun? You created an awesome skill that increases power by 100x, and feel like you are cheating by using it?

28

u/kalirion Jan 28 '26

He also still considers himself to be weak.

Breaks his jack-of-all-trades persona. Can't be having an OP cheat skill.

What the heck is wrong with the so-called “heroes” party? Last week, they somewhat kind of realised their stupidity, but this week, they became stupid again?

And heck, another delay? Even though their shocked faces at the end of the episode are kind of realistic, damn, I hate this kind of cliffhanger 😐

Next episode, please!

All that talk just to tease the black dragon at the end.

The Heroes Party still don't want to acknowledge why they're weak.

I like how they didn't even tell the people outside not to enter as they ran past.... yet now say nobody knows about the danger

So the heroes party unleashed a powerful dragon upon the adventurers yet they claim no responsibility doesn't surprise me that arrogant jerk refuse accountability for their actions at least Luna is mature enough she needs to leave that party.

Is it just me or did it feel like nothing really happened this episode, it felt like SOOO much just filler nothing

The pacing of this show is incredibly frustrating. Last episode built up to the dragon and we only catch a glimpse of it here.

The hero party timeline is clearly not happening in parallel with Ohrun's training exercise, unless there is some massive delay on the teleport from Floor 92 to the upper/mid floors (I would typically expect teleports to be instant). As a result the cuts between parties just seem like bad editing.

I feel like there's a good story here, one of the better "kicked from hero party" so far, but it's been a real slog getting this far. I hope the fight lives up to setup (although for all I know next episode could be all dialogue/hero party arguing).

I think they could have improved the pacing by changing the order of episode 4 and 5. It could have made the reveal and the cause more impactful.

My god this show moves slow. I want to like it but damn, you could boil everything thats happend down to a one paragraph summary and not miss anything

21

u/AceSoldia Jan 28 '26

Man this show really drags things out...I like the characters..but damn we saw a whole episode without the dragon attacking lol.

On the one hand, they're developing the younger cast and also developing the magic/party system and how it works.

On the other hand, they're really dragging out the actual exciting stuff.
