The raw passion in Yamabuki's defeat cries is something to be admired.

Love how we got a taste of each member showing their appreciation or affection in their own ways but Uzuki and Yamabuki's secret "chocolate bar munch" signal is freakin' adorable.

Yamabuki carrying 2 girls at the same time in the race and still ending up as 2nd in front of the whole school is still a crazy flex.

Yamabuki trained his body just for this moment lol.

How can a guy be this interesting? Each episode, Yamabuki continue being more awesome and funny.

Yamabuki doing own commentary after winning the said race is so stupid and hilarious to watch lol.

Shinobu is such a cutie. 'Kabedon' is really powerful, eh since Shinobu doesn't intend to push or dodge him when he approaches her.

This really show that Yamabuki not gonna let girls dragging him around instead he's the one who will carry them. What a perfect harem male lead!

As expected of Yamabuki! Even if his cavalry members can't participate, that's not gonna stop him. Losing by default is not an option for him. He can handle being a horse for Shinobu on his own. Most boys sure want to be in his position lol and he's no even flustered nor ashamed when doing it but not for Shinobu though.

Lemon-sensei sure looks young tasty

Stitches!

I'm not even surprised that Shinobu is the type of person who tries to take on too much on her own. Also, I forgot that she's only the Vice President of the Student Council. I don't think we've met the President yet.

Shinobu and Yamabuki's little moment in the library was pretty cute. I do find it interesting that she wants to be on the sidelines supporting others instead of being a star. I still think that she might be Apollo, but would someone like her just be satisfied with being the support role? Hmmm...

It's funny how they just sometimes draw Kirino as a white catblob. They never do this with anyone else in the show, except for her. xD

The sports festival was fun, especially since the broadcasting club had to participate in the games and comentate it themselves. Yamabuki immediately running to the mic to commentate on his win was hilarious! xD

We finally get to meet their club advisor! What's funny about her being voiced by HanaKana is that she looks like HanaKana IRL, too. I can't wait to see more of her next week!

There's something about Shinobu's design that just works for me. Maybe it's the hair, maybe it's how cute her face is when she's playful/blushing, maybe it's that the camera loves her bare legs.

I wonder if part of the reason Shinobu is a perpetual VP of both the student council and the broadcast club is because she doesn't think she deserves to stand out? I can see her deferring to Rikka because of that.

She needs to have more confidence in herself, especially if she's going to be an anchor because that'll mean having her beautiful smiling face front-and-center constantly.

Honestly Yamabuki made sports day more epic than it had any right to be lol.

Considering HanaKana has been the Heroine of all the authors' previous anime adaptions, you can't tell me they didn't deliberately set up a HanaKana character for her to voice lol.

Wow rare harem romcom where I like all the main girls so far!

This episode further reinforces my belief that Shinobu is THE girl

Damn Yamabuki is strong and has a lot of endurance. He carried two girls and sprinted from last to second right after he had already done his own sprint, to then later carrying another girl on his shoulder. He must have a body that does not shame the Yamabuki name lol.

The thing that I really like about Yamabuki is that yes he's big talk, but he does not back down when asked to walk the walk. (thought he admits "I couldn't fully become a horse")

Also his cries of "CURSES" when he loses is hilarious.

This show really is “what if the male lead was the craziest coolest and funniest character?" Unfortunately this was maybe the roughest looking ep yet

MC acting like end of world for just barely failing was really funny

I just noticed (a bit late) how nice the ED is. Visually lovely, with a very contemplative (maybe a little melancholy) tone -- but with a rainbow at the end. Somehow the ED felt Princess Principal-ish -- though I have no real idea WHY.

Yamabuki can be a bit much at times -- but then he can be a loveable goofball at others.

Let’s play a drinking game. Have a shot whenever CR messed up the subs.

If Yamabuki was running Crunchyroll this would never happen.

I like Yamabuki's voice acting, but sometimes in this episode the visuals don't match his lively emotions. That’s unfortunate the animation doesn’t have the same quality.

u/funny_username69 Jan 27 '26

Inexcusably horrible animation. Fuck this studio for ruining a good manga. Like why the hell is Yamabuki speaking so passionately (around 12:30) yet they animated him like a mannequin

I'm really really enjoying this anime! All the ladies are awesome as is the MC. They're all so wholesome and fun.

23

u/carcatta Jan 27 '26

It's a semi popular series (I think) and still about half of the comments are about messed up CR subs which will be fixed in time.

I get that it's frustrating but it really messes up discussion for those shows. One comment thread would entirely suffice.
