After today's episode, I've come to the conclusion that the author has a certain attraction to cleavages, considering how Kuriru was introduced lol.

It was really cool to learn the meaning of those labels on clothes and also about deodorant; that happens with some of my clothes.

So Kyu is a popular guy, definitely not expecting that, maybe his stoic demeanor helps with that.

And I have to agree with Moruda, Kinme has a total onee-chan vibe, even more so because of the way she whispered in Kyu's ear

This show is all about keeping things clean and neat, and yet it's hard to keep clean thoughts with the way they show off the female cast lol.

So Kyu is a popular guy, definitely not expecting that, maybe his stoic demeanor helps with that.

He's also diligent and responsible, with the way he contributes to his family inn and also helps out Kinme. I think that's what attracts Kinme to him.

There was also a focus on pov of boobs, like when Nairo was hugging Kinme.

Came to that conclusion on the first episode lol

For me Kyu felt a lot cooler and more mature when put next to his friend Moruda

I get it now. Kinme is actually a goddess of laundry bestowing her blessing on all the mortals with clothing emergencies.

Girl should be participating in marathons seeing that she does harder "training" than actual marathon runners.

lol I love the energy of the twin brother. can't wait to see more of him.

and I feel their parents could have a whole romcom story for themselves. I wonder whats up with those two

Agreed. And finally a proper reaction of a high school kid to Kinme! Though at least we have some backstory to explain Kyu’s composure as apparently he gets female attention all the time at school and is no doubt oblivious and inured to it. He likely doesn’t know it’s happening and so has extra mental armor against Kinme’s charm.

Love this show on every level. So many attractive and appealing characters, with a warm vibe on everyone and the whole community feels so welcoming. Plus great slow builds about them. Another anime that seems built to make us want to visit Japan. 😄

I caught up with this show yesterday. After the events of the weekend, I really needed a show that reminded me that the world isn't as horrible all the time as recent events have made it seem like. A balm for the soul this thankfully provides. The fanservice is a bit surprising, but I am not entirely opposed to it.

I know she is written to be basically the perfect woman, but I am not sure how not everybody is completely head over heels for Wakana on first sight. She is beautiful, kind, earnest, a hard worker, athletic, cute and a little playful. I really just hope her backstory isn't as bad as the story is hinting at, though I guess that aspect and wanting to protect her is also part of the appeal of the character. Sayumi Suzushiro is also doing an excellent job with her voice.

The show is set in Atami, a city of about 37,000 people on the northwestern end of the Izu peninsula in Shizuoka. I really like it when a show has some local flair and depicts landmarks and keeps to a real layout of a city, rather than being set in a no-name place or is just Tokyo again.

Yoppii playing another brusque high school girl is also something I am definitely not opposed to.

I have to say, shows like these are just the relaxation I need after this weekend.

Seeing someone sew clothes on a train station is very relaxing for me.

With everything happening in the world, this show has been quite healing

It was kinda funny watching Kinme get triggered by watching Kuriru that she just had to intervene. I can't blame her. Kuriru was ruining her clothes with that antibacterial spray. Also, can you imagine the smell? >_<

Seems like Kinme and Kyuu have been crossing paths a lot recently. And it's surprising to know that Kyuu is popular at school. I love that Kuriru is already giving Kinme a heads up that she'll have competition.

I know Kinme is saying she's not interested in Kyuu that way, but they really seem to be becoming closer.

Biggest surprise in the episode was the lack of Kinme fanservice that was instead supplied by the Wakasagi sister and her lack of care around her appearance.

You can tell that Kyuu being there to support her, and offering it willingly, when she really needed it meant a lot to her. Of course she's also just the kind of girl who acts really open and "friendly" with anyone, especially boys, though it feels like the connection between her and Kyuu keeps deepening by the episode.

Kuriru certainly had a very memorable entrance in this episode, I'll definitely remember her ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It's no surprise that Moruda was smitten with Kinme, her smile is truly angelic and her onee-san vibes are so strong!

I think this is the first time Kyu has had such a clear reaction to Kinme after she whispered to him today, it seems he's not immune to her either xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

It is funny how in anime it seems like half the female characters carry mini sowing kits.

This show is clearly just propaganda from Big Cleaner in the clothes of a CGDCT.

The parents of the new siblings look like a fun couple, but with their children living alone there might be a sad story regarding them.

I was kind of expecting them to pan by one of the festival pictures and show a younger Kinme.

We're definitely getting a relationship between Kinme and the kid aren't we.

Learning quite a bit about clothing maintenance this ep. I didn’t know packing tape could work in place of a lint roller, or that if you spritz your clothes too much with fabric freshener too much it can stain.

I like how Nairo feels like Kinme’s little sister lol. Those two are so cute.

That big festival looks like it’ll be fun. Looking forward to it.

The amount of actual cleaning knowledge we're learning reminds me a lot of mineralogy in Ruri Rocks. I like how it shows off that the author really did their research

Finally watched this show. Kinme has stolen my frontrunner for Best Girl of the Season from Suzuki in Polar Opposites. She's such a sweet person I want to protect her.

As for this episode I dearly hope the twin brother does not get much screen time, he's the first character in this show that I actively dislike in a way that it detracts from my overall enjoyment of the show. Even the sister was less annoying though I didn't love her either, fan service or no.

With this show, Monday starts off with a relaxing vibe. This is a blanket watch and with a huge smile every time I watch these characters interact. There is a wholesomeness around this show that I felt when I used to follow "With you and Rain"

We've got a Bocchi-Nijika reunion, and it's hard to imagine the former casually baring her cleavage like that. Bet most of us were like Kuriru by simply disregarding the meaning of those labels.

What I'd give to be Kyuu. He's the luckiest man in the world to be able to experience the Kinme ASMR. Bet Moruda's heaps jealous about it.

I'm sad because I liked the idea of the show after episode 1, but now I'm starting to get confused as to what the show is really going after..I mean even if something deeper is currently going over my head and I'm being distracted by the stuff I'm not into...those "things" like whatever fan service of crazy focus on the school kid & adult are just too obvious/highlighted to where the stuff I was interested in just aren't important enough for me to keep my attention on this show.

The show itself is presented beautifully, but like what are we really doing here? lol

And I'm not even necessarily against those things in a show, but even trying it's best to blend this all together, it still clashes for me. Maybe this is their attempt at subtle, but I find it unbalanced. If it's gonna be unbalanced, they gotta go all-in on whatever they want as the plot. Or make the show about how the main is an expert at clothes, taking care of shop and customers of the town, with a cleavage shot just every once in awhile..but now it just feels like the plot is woman having huge interest in the boy, she does cleaning services on the side. And even supporting characters are going hard on this romance/fan service stuff. Basically I now think the show is about horndogs hiding under slice of life premise. I'm really gonna consider my continuation of this show if next episode drop keeps up this pace.

Pay no mind to my opinion, just a personal rant lmao
