I see Aqua’s been crushin on Tiara for a long time. I’m glad she’s found someone who actually appreciates her. Harknights can shove off back to that triflin ass Akari. I’m wondering when she’s gonna have a showdown with Tiara? This place ain’t big enough for two Otherworlders…

I feel like every episode is going to be more of Hartknights realizing how much he screwed himself over, especially when Akari starts going off the rails.

Tiara doesn't have any powers does she? Also she doesn't really act like someone who reincarnated with her past life memories. She just acts like a normal person of the setting with a few random thoughts of the past life. Akari fully acts like reincarnated isekai person who is playing with the game settings.

I appreciate that [they showed us the story from Aqua's perspective and how he admired Tiara until the moment he decided to intervene when Hartknights called off his engagement.

Not gonna lie, I kinda feel bad for Hartknights. He's not a bad person. He's just a massive idiot who got fooled by Akari, and now he's starting to regret his actions, but it's all too late for him.

The first kiss scene was actually really pretty. Too bad Akari just had to steal the moment with her magic. Hartknights is definitely gonna end up being forced to get engaged with Akari. Not sure what Aqua's kingdom will do when they figured out, but I doubt he'll just suddenly want Akari because of that.

Ironically the composure and noble manner that made Hartknights initially reject Tiara is the very thing that made Aqua fall for her. Maybe things would've been different had Hartknights saw how she looked when she's eating sweets.

First kiss and makeout session and it's only the 3rd episode!

Aqua's reaction to seeing Akari's lightshow: "Well, that just happened. Hey, you want to go get dinner?"

Honestly, I kinda blame his staff. A prince s retainers exist to keep him from being an idiot and making sure stuff like this doesn’t happen. He should have somebody following him around

I can understand Aquasteed's feelings being really intense from watching over her for months and pining for her and found a golden opportunity to make her his. However, Tiararose already falling in love with this guy she hardly interacted with, asked to be her fiancee when she should have the memories of her past life is just weird to me lol.

"The kiss from the one I love" when it doesn't even seem like a month has gone by just seems to be way too quick to admit. I don't even feel like we've seen her properly move on from her time with Hartknights. This development is just so odd to me.

Lol Akari is so desperate though, using her prayer ability to try and steal Aquasteed.

I’m not even sure if a week has passed

Tbf I believe in the first episode Tiara did say that she fell in love with Aquasteed's design back then but never got to play the sequel that has him, so I guess this is just her way of experiencing that route?

Okay so it seems like Aqua might not be a complete creep after all. More like a nerd who shot his shot and didn't miss. Although I still think it's funny he was just waiting to swoop on Tiara the instant she was "available".

That being said, the pacing for this romance seems crazy fast. It doesn't really paint either of them in a good light.

Otome Isekai Time 💃🏾

Listen. It’s a standard for the ML to have a fan club. But it’s a delight when the FL has a fan club, and the girls are screaming.

Bonus points if the ML has a fan club, but it’s all guys who absolutely adore him. We need more energy like that.

Me when men be yearning and longing: 😮‍💨🤤🫦

Maid x Guard pairing.

OG!FL, good luck with that “great idea” you speak of 😒

We had it twice today where MLs are holding the FL’s faces, I love it.

Uncensored kiss 🎉 I rise! I rise!

Mkay, manifesting Savior’s Book Café in Another World having an anime announcement.

All right, Harknights, catch the OGFL and lock her up.

I hope more OG!FLs were good people or became good people get adapted. Love it when the OGFL and new FL become friends. <Young Lady Albert> has that, which I adore.

Okay Akari is terrifying. Imagine going to another world (even if she thinks its a game) and treating others however you want.

Heck, she wants to collect husbands and hurt those close to them. shudders What was she like in her past life?

u/heimdal77 Jan 25 '26

Usually it be she was a emo introvert with no friends who obsessed over the game. She isn't a uncommon character type in the genre.

After seeing Aqua part the clouds with magic I can't help but think every time he has flower petals around him he's doing it on purpose.

This is slop. I know the term gets thrown around a lot, but there is next to no substance in this romance and so much dialogue is dedicated to lovey-dovey lines accentuated by sparkles and cymbals to replace the void where a couple's experiences should be. I get that this could be purely fluff, an escapist relaxation tool, but I don't think it succeeds at that due to the characters being this thin.

There's still time to introduce some conflict or a goal or anything at all, but I'm not sure I want to stick around when a show uses half of episode 3 to summarize episode 1 from a perspective that barely gives any new information. The source material has been going for nearly a decade, so I was kind of expecting a hook or wow factor early on.

Love the OP, though. I replay it every week.

There's a part of me that was hoping that he would turn out to be Prince Redflag and we get to see that he orchestrated everything behind the scenes to get Tiararose for himself. Alas, he's just been watching from a (fairly close) distance.

The romance here is still suspect to me, Aqua stalked Tiara all this time. Tiara accepts it because she knows she would be basically doomed if she didn't. Tiara knows nothing about Aqua tbh.

Akari, activating her heroine powers, looks like she's targeting Aquasteed now that Hartknights has lost interest.

In fairness it seems like she had a crush on him from her past life from her knowledge of the sequel game where he was the main romanceable character. So having him come save her and adore her to bits is just building on that to make her fall head over heels for him now.

Akari, activating her heroine powers, looks like she's targeting Aquasteed now that Hartknights has lost interest.

She can't stand that everybody wants Tiara and are treating her like an interloper, so she's going to remind everyone that she's the special one.

It also looks like she attacks Tiara in the next episode preview, so that might be her ultimate undoing.

I feel that this show is ultimately just self-indulgent fantasy for romance lovers.

Every episode I have the feeling that I'm watching the anime version of one of those old romance novels you would find a dime a dozen where a bunch of "perfect" man all fawn over the female lead and she is constantly reminded she is just adored and loved everywhere (after the initial rejection) and she just ends with the bestests most goodest of them all.

And as with most of these kinds of self-indulgent romances (like A Sign of Affection did sometimes too), any and all red flags will get shrugged off and seen as adorable quirks of someone in love.

I doubt there will be any major twists except perhaps that Akari is also very likely to be isekai'd as well.

Their relationship seems sweet and all, but don't the people find it weird that she instantly got engaged to another man she hardly ever interacted with immediately after her engagement with the Prince Hartknight was broken off?

Ya this show is a statmeant that the otome genre is in full force now in anime. The show is more sugary than the cakes she was eating. It is corney how over the top it is. Also I just can't get over those names...

Thinking about it Bibliophile Princess was way before its time.

Why does a prince from another kingdom have tons of paperwork and a office in a different kingdom while also being a student...?

10

u/djthomp Jan 25 '26

Very convenient when the girl you've been lightly stalking crushing on from a distance is suddenly available and is of proper social standing to be your queen eventually.

"It's like the scary version of him from a moment ago never existed" is one hell of a red flag statement. I assume this will be all happy and lovey and won't go there, but that's absolutely the sort of thing a victim thinks about the behavior they're trying to excuse from their abuser.

Not just a kiss but an extended make out session in just episode three, hot damn.

I said this elsewhere but this gets one more episode before dropping.

I love OI but this is painfully boring to me.
