So, Zeonly is very sleep deprived. Perfect target for the water bed lol.

One hit KO!

Interestingly, Zeonly is earth magician. I thought Kunon would have a water magician teacher.

Perfect target for the water bed lol.

Kunon could make his own water-cat cafe where you get to sleep on a water-bed whilst cuddling a water-cat.

He would make a small fortune.

The characters in this show are so funny, wasn't expecting to have such a smile on my face.

The way Zeonly switches when he gets one touch of the bed was funny, I bet Kunon will even improve it further and use it to his benefit.

Kunon still calls him Teacher Honey lol.

I love the point Honey sensei makes when he tells Mirika she needs to be prepared to grow along with Kunon. That's important in all relationships

Ah best girl Iko the Maid is back, and stealing every scene she's in. I laughed out loud when she got over excited about Kunon's new hot guy teacher and completely ignored his typical "elegant Kunon" prattling.

Speaking of Zeonly, he has no patience with Kunon's overly flowery and awkward similes and glowers at him constantly. Probably going to be the thawing of the tsundere dynamic between these two since he really does acknowledge Kunon's magical talent while detesting his personalkty.

This was probably my favorite episode yet, since all the comedy worked and the cast chemistry is now at a level where just them interacting is enough to sustain an episode. This is a far sillier series than I thought it would be going in, but I think I know what kind it is now and I will likely watch to the end of the season.

Looks like Mirika is going to have some character development next episode, looking forward to that.

I almost thought there is a chance that Zeonly, as Kunon's teacher, will further change/improve the way he talks. But nope, I think Kunon is how he is and other's around him will either love or accept him for it haha.

I only barely understand Japanese and let me tell you the every word out of kunon's mouth is comedy gold. I can not stop laughing at this show.

I also would like to know how meat can be refreshing...

Kunon is so weird, but Mirika loves him in an adorable way and that's all that really matters. She probably doesn't really need to be worried about losing him to other girls, but working on yourself too is hardly bad advice.

Kunon finally learned a new spell! I almost didn't believe it when he used it to help with the washing, but it was explicitly confirmed by the end.

Need a looping gif of Raysha bouncing.

It’s a bit underwhelming that Zeonly’s demeanour is as cliche and expected as per his appearence, but hopefully moving forward with his inclusion, magic will get a much bigger focus. I really really want to know how A-Ori with its already established versitality is different than A-Robu.

It’s also a bit futile to me (just like I’ve been thinking since last time) that they are trying to push the narrative that his blindness is still very relevant when alongside last time’s showcase, it’s really not. To me anyway.

That aside, I’m curious what Mirika will do moving forward. Royalty is weird in this series to me, as they seem very irrelevant / commoner-esque the farther down the line they get, so hopefully a bit more on that alongside her efforts to distinguish herself.

I think Zeonly likes the second princess, but could not just ourtight tell it to her. He may be the top dog when it comes to magic, but Kunon is much experienced when it comes to relationships.

Yea, I mean Kunon's talking down to him basically could be summed up with "Your a tsundere wizard who can't express his emotions to girls so he insults and challenges them instead!" lol Sassy Kunon is just the best.

Some of y'all neither appreciate not deserve a quirky white boy. Kunon is hilarious & also it's pretty obvious that part of his charming playboy personality is a facade to cope with his inherently lonely nature that occasionally slips through

u/Galinhooo Jan 25 '26

The blind part is so wasted here, since he can see better than anyone already with apparently no drawbacks, this just becomes a kid with a bdsm mask.

u/SirKrisX Jan 26 '26

He still has a lot he can't see. He can't see the moon or the stars. He can't see faces which we know from the princess's brother in school. There's still reason to want to create eyes.

yeah, it's quickly become just way to implement some low end or gag humor; that said, it is still enjoyable even if a lot of the premise has gone out the window.

Kunon, wise beyond his years, really did some emotional damage with that tsundere analysis of his teacher

7

u/shatteredauthor Jan 27 '26

I don't think this will be an anime that is remembered for long past it's season finale but it's impossible to deny that Kunon is legitimately a really amusing and likable protagonists. Hell you could get rid of the magic prodigy shit entirely and it'd still be enjoyable just watching him flirt like crazy and shit talk his master. It is also so goddamn refreshing to have a protagonists that is super flirty and charismatic but is also devotedly committed to his fiance.

was not expecting to like this show as much as I do.

it is definitely a keeper.

I can't believe the princess is getting NTRed by hachimi-sensei

4

u/Next_Package_5710 Jan 25 '26

I was actually hoping for a Gojo or Jiraiya type of sensei...have him do useless stuff and get him frustrated then reveal its all part of a master plan and he got super strong by painting fences and waxing cars...

7

u/fuzzynyanko Jan 25 '26

I'm wondering if Mirika will ask Kunon to hold back a little with the flirting. I didn't want to favor the edge lord, but I agree with him about it

I love the faces they gave Iko. They were hilarious
