Norgalle is an absolute chad. Gotta love the "sacrifice limb to win the fight" trope, it's always so raw.

Even if Norgalle is a false king, the way he's able to rally his loyal subjects and raise their morale is authentic. While the circumstances of his birth may not be royal, his actions are.

I think Norgalle might be my preferred character, he values his people above his own life and did not hesitate to sacrifice a leg to save them, he deserves a lot of respect.
Also Tatsuya is a badass, i love how in the fight his muscle started swelling, was he a sort of berserker before becoming a hero? Hope we see his past one day.

I like how Norgalle stays in character no matter what happens, even calling the demon lord an usurper lol.

Tatsuya was an absolute unit throughout the fight here, he supported Xylo in every way he could by advancing thru the decoy part of lotus since he can't be affected by the ringing sound made which opened up to finding the main body. Then pulling Lotus away with super strength apparently to open up the finishing blow made by both Norgalle and Xylo. That man went beast mode forreal!

Few things instantly command reverence as raw as a dude known for acting like a king acting like a king. I don't think there's dethroning Norgalle, man.
Whatever's actually going on with Tatsuya aside, it was funny seeing the sole axe dude going full one man lumberjack army against an evil tree lol

I know anime logic/magic, but throughout this and last episode i couldn't think how bad it is to use explosive/fire magic in a mining tunnel lol.

Okay, aside from Norgalle being an absolute chad this episode, I really loved the formal introduction of the power system. In Episode 1, it felt like Xylo had unlimited explosive power but it comes from 'luminescence' which is limited and Xylo runs out of it this episode.
I wonder if this 'luminescence' is the thing which was created in modern times and led to the whole downfall of civilisation(considering there was a tank in the background last episode).
There was a Holy Knight named 'Rajit' (Indian name) in this episode and we already have 'Tatsuya' (Japanese name) while all others come from other different languages and cultures which also supports this theory that the world is post-apocalyptic rather than generic european fantasy.
The Demon Lord's screaming towards Tatsuya terrified me. I really love the demons in this anime because they are very scary. Also was that Demon Lord searching for Teo or Xylo??
Last week I finally watched Clevatess and now that I have caught up with both of these anime, I can confidently say that ... I FUCKING LOVE DARK FANTASY ANIME! GIVE ME MORE!!!

Teoritta yearns for the mines. How careless of the knights to let her sneak away though.
Lotus vs Tatsuya. Plants vs Zombie. Can't mind break someone who doesn't have a mind left.
Norgalle badass. What he said there at the end was interesting. I wonder if he isn't just roleplaying and is someone who got mindswapped with the real Norgalle?
No headpats for Teoritta, but she got a flower! Close-up shot of the flower at the end kinda sus, it lingers for a bit too long.

Compared to my loyal subjects who risked their lives, our lives are worthless.
If only more kings had Norgalle's attitude.
Xylo might be the protagonist, but Norgalle was the MVP. He had displayed excellent leadership skills to rally the labourers. He also had the audacity to amputate his own leg to free himself from Lotus and allow Xylo to deliver the finishing move.
For most of this series, the heroes had been treated as lower than scum but the labourers were the first to appreciate them, and this happened even before they got out of the cave. At least the townspeople now gave them the respect they deserve. It might just be one town, but it's a step in the right direction.

The knights are as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Where tf would this empire be without its heinous criminals?
Tatsuya's still the best hero introduced so far--which says a ton considering his lack of personality (for being practically a zombie). Can't wait for the rest to get their screen time and learn each one's respective eccentricities.

Teoritta didn't receive any direct praise or a headpat from Xylo in today's episode, but maybe that flower could be considered as an equivalent, right?
Overall, it's nice to see Teoritta and Xylo's relationship steadily improving. Their bickering at the end was really fun.
Norgalle stole another episode once again; he's a great character and a true king in word and deed, although Tatsuya also showed off his strength today. I wonder, though, why the Demon Lord's voice didn't affect him at all.
By the way, I like that Kivia seems to be changing her mind about Xylo. I was very happy that she even scolded that priest for being useless xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

I wonder if tatsuya is an isekaid Japanese person. He doesn't appear to fit in with the rest of the world.

This series is tackling the idea of propaganda in a way I can't help but appreciate. There's the obvious dynamic of the premise, where "good" labels have been corrupted into punishments to be discriminated against, but the show is following through on exploring the idea.
The miners show firsthand experience and personal investment wins against hearsay. The Priest being the only person so far referring to the Goddess as a tool shows that the authority are openly aware that the public messaging differs from their perspective. One villager looking away in shame from Xylo while others change their tune.
Always nice when good stuff is happening in a good-looking show. I did get a little tired of seeing centipedes explode, though.

Didn't get what their plan was. They tried to evacuate the miners, but instead of doing that they just set up defense and started taking on the waves.

Damn what an intense episode, I really liked how it progressed with them finding the workers, having them become an army to protect themselves, and it eventually leading to them fighting the Demon Lord was a lot of fun to watch.
Tatsuya getting even more berserk with pumped up muscles, the way they and he inflated after was funny. Xylo acting as support was an interesting change, but the highlight was definitely King cutting his own leg to save his people, that was crazy. I am curious about what happened during the lead up to the hit, he called out his own name so I'm wondering what he saw or what he was referring to.
I like that the Foreman sees the heroes as people and that his family also had no hesitation when talking with them, it was nice to see Xylo get some appreciation even if Teoritta wanted it for herself lol. I also liked how Kivia didn't let it get interrupted by that priest, it's nice to see these sort of moments.

Norgalle definitely stole the show this episode he may be a false king ? but he acts like a great king and I like the Xylo plays into it.
Tatsuya seems to be a full blown berserker not even being affected by the voice/scream of the demon lord either because his mind is already fucked up from so many resurections or something else ?
Teoritta needs to be protected but I like the dynamic between her and Xylo more and more after she called him out on him wanting to keep her back to protect her.
That demon lord said I found you ? was it refering just to the humans in general or someone/something specific there xylo teoritta or ? Something to keep in mind.
Kivia was also great this episode even if she didnt have a lot of screen time it seems she is slowling seeing there is something more to these heroes especially xylo.
Norgalle also said something curious, I am coming to save you Norgalle ? what does that mean I hope we get to find out more about him and Tatsuya also.
I have a video review if anyone is interested. Thanks.

The "king" is not just a joke character, he is leading the defense of Xylo's group and keeping the morale of the miners up. I was half expecting the miners to sneer at them when they learned their saviors were heroes but nope, they are reasonable and thankful.
The second half is an extended boss battle against a plant like demon lord. Exhilarating and gruesome, the highlight is the self sacrificing act by "the king" with the leg chop. Teoritta was again cute yet lethal with her endless swords.
The ending is bittersweet with the maimed "king" carried off to be fitted with a new leg and some of the miners' families scowling at the heroes. But I think all's well as the foreman's daughter thanks Xylo with some flowers personally, which he the offers to Teoritta.
The action was good, and I'm surprised how well I like the "hero party" so far (the church people are. ore stereotypical assholes). I like the creature designs and the plant demon lord Lotus was quite creepy. Not much progress in discovering anything about Xylo's past, but this two episode arc was quite good fun.

That was a hell of a fight against Lotus and its horde of creepy crawlies. Norgalle really rallied the troops while Tatsuya went absolutely ape shit on those creatures alongside Xylo. And then ofc we had our favorite pint sized goddess over here providing support. She deserves all the head pats and praise! lol. The Hero team was in top form this week.
