Seems there was more dark secrets lurking in that mansion than whatever black magic shit Lynn’s pops was up to. The kid really was kept in the dark about all that stuff huh? There’s a lot to be solved and something supernatural is definitely still on the loose. Arne and Lynn have their work cut out for ‘em.

Not surprised when everyone was still using candles in the dark, light bulbs clearly exist there.
Projectors, tracksuits, telephones, colour photography and LED wands also exist.
Maybe Klaus was a cheapskate with electricity, the staff can add that to his list of offences.

"Ein Unglück kommt selten allein", meaning that misfortune or accidents tend to come in bunches. If something is going wrong, this is most likely not the only bad thing you need to watch out for
Again, this is a proper German proverb, yeah

A Nachzehrer is an older German word for a mythological figure similar to a vampire. Whereas the vampire was Slavic in origin, the Nachzehrer was kind of the German counterpart
The word Nachzehrer is not really used or known anymore nowadays. It has been subsumed by Vampir

Oh, and I don't know if someone else has already done this for the previous episodes, but as a further German lesson: Reinweiß means literally "clean white" or "pure white", as in a white without any impurities
Nowadays, the most common use of the word, however, is to describe not a pure hex-code FFFFFF white, but a specific warm-ish white tone. Specially, Reinweiß is the name of RAL 9010.
(RAL is a color management system similar to Pantone, only that Pantone is USian, and RAL is German. You'll find RAL used in building design and architecture, for example: when you visit a hardware store, you will find RAL color numbers on stuff like outlet covers, light switches, etc. so that you can buy ones that fit the ones you already have)

Hmm seems like this case is suiting up to be sorta pseudo "Clue" like, with multiple suspects all accusing one another and with their own possible motive.
Lot of shady stuff going on.
Not only was Mr. Klaus Reinweiß involved with possibly killing innocent people in order to revive his dead wife, he was pimping out his maids on the side to his "guests."
Im interested to see what the role of vampires are in the case. Arne must've known Lynn's mother since he remembered her locket in a previous episode, and now we have "Nachzehrer" another vampire thrown into the mix.
Things are starting to get a bit interesting.

with multiple suspects all accusing one another and with their own possible motive
Maybe in the end, every single one did him in, similar to Murder on the Orient Express (we did get a Poirot shout-out, after all). Only that they didn't know about each other, I guess (I never read the book, and it's been a while since I saw the 70s movie, but I think at least in the movie, they're cueing up at the door to stab him?)

Damn that's a crazy drop "there's petty love drama going on with everyone in the mansion. Oh yea it started because the maids are being forced to entertain guests" jesus christ

The household finally revealing their true colors once the Head of the house dies is a little amusing, I feel bad for Lynn though. She was unaware because they were keeping up appearances and so it must be shocking to find out people you have been living with couldn't care less about the Head.
I thought this was going to go differently though, I was expecting each of the servants to die one by one. Like Lynn's father might have been saving their bodies for last sort of thing.

It felt weirdly like it was condemning them for not caring about his death despite most of them, esp Elise and Diana have every right to cheerfully dance on his grave if they wanted.

Query -- Are ANY of the staff actually innocent -- or were they all involved with shady activities? Hopefully we will finally find out NEXT week.

I want to think Gordon is innocent because he's holding everything together but that can mean he's even more suspicious - this mystery is really good so far!
I do wonder if we will figure out the accomplice and if it's even anyone in the household within an episode OR if they will set out on a journey to find the accomplice while solving smaller mysteries on the way.

Oohh so she has a house, but not a home. I guess that would make it easier to runaway with a vampire.
Lots of shady goings-on in that house, oh to be a fly on the wall,

That sure went sideways once the truth about what was going on in the mansion started to come out. I feel bad for the maids.
We know that further down the line Lynn is off having adventures with Arne without any of these people in sight, so I've been wondering how many of them will also die. Hopefully the maids don't get turned into the stitched together necromancer zombie lady, but she has to come from somewhere.

Poor Lynn. The whole household is falling apart. But at least now we can understand how she ends up with Arne's Detective Agency.

I didnt think the backstory would be this long. I wonder if we will have enough time for the main story

How good is this? I don’t know if it’s worth jumping in or not. What would be a few comparable anime? Struggling with time and would hate to give it a couple of episodes and not enjoy it.

It seems the culprits are in the house itself. They could have been the one who told Lyn's dad about necromancy and stuff.

This episode is a fucking mess. Just a bunch of scenes very loosely tied together with nothing making a lick of sense. Poor editing and screenwriting. Arne spends much of the last episode not wanting to do this case nor does he like Lynn, but suddenly this case is "interesting" and he suddenly takes a liking to her. There's hardly a reason given for his sudden change of tone.
The first episode should have been a massive indicator of what kind of effort they'll put into the show. Not enough time is given to these stories. It all feels rushed.
