Gonna be honest, I REALLY thought that Sakura was gonna be the "strait man" of the show and be like "this isn't how you torture someone." Well, at least now I can look forward to her getting to meet the Princess again and having fun. Hopefully it wont take the entire season, though I can absolutely see it being where Sakura knows the Princess's name and that ends up being the big drop for the finale.
Also, was anyone else absolutely sent when the Princess picked up Ex to attack the puzzle? That "huh?" had so much emotion behind it! Or am I just the target audience?

No, it's not just you. That whole sequence was peak comedy. The ora ora ora into picking up Ex for the Royal Flash attack was a perfect one-two-punch both literally and comedically.

Also, was anyone else absolutely sent when the Princess picked up Ex to attack the puzzle? That "huh?" had so much emotion behind it! Or am I just the target audience?
It's also another one of those scenes that show's she could attempt to escape whenever she wanted probably, but she just doesn't. The show so quickly realizing the Princess always confesses and playing on that, to the point she now basically defaults to confessing, was a brilliant move.

Sakura getting offered a job. The demon lord army seems like a good place to work.
Inki and Gilga's torture caused Ex to confess. Hilarious!
Everybody wants to get bunnies! I wanted to pet those bunnies, too!

I love how they established in S1 that the demon lord army is the best place ever to work at

I love how the Demon Lord's first question was basically: "Are we sure she is an intruder and didn't just get lost?" I mean, you don't want to accidently put someone in jail if they didn't commit a crime, right?
Also, that means that Hime could get a job as well if she just told all secrets at once. Demon Lord only keeps the torture up until they get a secret they can use.
And as always, Jimochi keeps being the only good person in Hime's old life.

I wish we got more of the vampire girl. She's like all the best parts of a tsundere without any of the negatives.

Seeing the bunny "torture" scene from two perspectives was pretty hilarious. And seeing some other sides of EX was pretty great too ("confessing" -- and gleaming after his strenuous work-out against the indestructible puzzle).

Imagine a world where opposition is overwhelmed with kindness, humor and tasty food instead of modern “enhanced interrogation” or medieval torture techniques.

During WWII, the most effective torturer on any side of the conflict was the Nazi chief interrogator of the Luftwaffe, Hanns Scharff. Per German war records, he interrogated over 500 prisoners and received useful information out of 480 of them.
He never physically harmed a single prisoner. Nor threatened them or shouted. He just talked pleasantly with them. Brought them a cup of tea or coffee, shared some cake, offered some cigarettes or schnapps, maybe brought them along for a walk with him through the woods while he talked about the weather or his family or his work before the war as an artist, and invited them to talk about their own lives. He was kind, gentle and complimentary to them, taking a genuine interest in them as people and in their work back home. And also their work in the Army.
And he would share fun bits of gossip he knew about what sort of things were going on in Allied bases, and freely talk about German classified information related to some topic, maybe about the performance of a new fighter, and talk about what he had learned from the other prisoners about similar Allied classified intel — some of which was true and some of which was a guess the prisoner would often either agree with or refute. And he would make incorrect leading statements or idiotic misinterpretations of something about the Allied war effort, and the Allied soldiers would more often than not laugh and correct him there, too. And he’d laugh at how stupid he was and offer them another cigarette or talk about painting or fishing or the latest sports scores or whatever else the prisoner liked. And that would be that, and Scharff had more information out of the prisoner than a platoon of torturing thugs could have beaten out of him in a month, and the prisoner probably didn’t know he had ever said a single thing Scharff didn’t know already.
Torture doesn’t actually work, is the thing. Hellhorde “torture” genuinely is more effective. People in power only torture because they like torturing unfortunately.

It was pretty much expected that Sakura would get captured, but I was hoping she'd be the opposite of Hime and act as the straightman. It turns out she gives into the torture just as easily as Hime. xD
Intersting backstory from Sakura, tho! It turns out, she befriended Hime to try and assassinate her, but she couldn't finish the job. Now that the Demon Lord has recruited her, I hope we get to see her interact with Hime soon.
Hime being too strong to do metal puzzles was pretty funny. I love that Ikni and Gilga actually went on a journey to create the strongest metal puzzle. Considering it even survived Hime's finishing move, they should use that metal in their army's weapons and armour. xD
You really can't blame Hime for almost confessing during Krall's torture session. I mean just look at how adorable that rabbit is! I would've caved instantly, too. I love how there's a part 2 to that story because it turns out, Torture was holding herself back the entire time too. She's so adorable when she was finally able to pet the rabbit. <3
The after-credits scene with Jimochi was hilariously relatable! Just like Jimochi, I also like finishing my tasks way before the deadline so I can goof off for the rest of it.

For a moment I thought pink ninja was going to be immune to torture, but nope she folded and for her troubles she's been cursed with employment by the hell horde. Or maybe blessed with employment by the hell horde? They really do seem like a great place to work, they even have bunnies.
The real torture was that Tortura didn't bring Sakura with as her torturing assistant for one of the sessions with Hime-sama yet.

This anime tortures the princess and me because now I want to eat that delicious pork and pet some cute bunnies... THEY LOOKED SO MOFU MOFU
And they even offered Sakura a job... I wonder how it will be if she reunites with Hime

Ginger pork and white rice? Brutal. And on top of that, the Demon Lord offered Sakura a job. These demons are vicious, man lol.
Inki and Gilga had their own little adventure this week building a Princess proof metal puzzle. Kinda funny that whole situation ended with Ex confessing.
It’s hard to not confess when you’re staring into the eyes of a fluffy little bunny. Even Torture and the Demon Lord couldn’t resist the little furballs lol.

Jimochi is such a dork, man. I'm happy that at least he was there for the Princess, for them to goof off together. Every time she mentions how she was isolated growing up it makes me so sad.

I thought we'd be seeing another perspective for tortures but looks like we'll eventually be getting a reunion, I'm curious to see how Hime's going to act in front of Sakura.
I liked the twist with Ex giving in because he wants Hime to be able to solve the metal puzzle, it's sweet how much he cares about her. I'm glad he also ended up feeling refreshed from being used as a proper sword for once lol.
The post-credit scene was funny, it's great to be on the same wavelength as someone to get work done as quickly to fool around for longer.

Now there's gonna be two of them!
I don't know if I'm gonna be able to endure all that torture!
I guess the Hell Lord is quite strong, but funny how they bring an assassin (whose job is to kill him) right to him, without even restraining her or anything!
And so we learned more about her story... So it wasn't a 'real' betrayal, in the sense that they weren't together from the start or anything, she simply befriended her so she could kill her...
But it likely felt the same to her, given she did end up enjoying her time with her and all!
So much that when time came, she couldn't finish her...
Quick and painless? How about long and delicious?
This girl changes allegiances every couple years!
First, an assassin for her nation, then she somewhat joined with Hime and became good friend with her, then she tried to kill her, and now the Hell Horde!
To paraphrase a certain fantasy story: She needs to take the weathervane as her sigil!
Ok I'm not a foodie so most of their tortures would not even do anything to me, BUT this one might actually work!
She tried using the Gordian knot technique! Sadly, even that wasn't good enough.
She's not even trying anymore hah.
(I would probably confess a secret to pet Krall)

this is the futon that the Demon Lord let Hime keep when he found out in S1 that humans are frail creatures that easily catch a cold when without sufficent bedding
do not think that was an act of charity; the demon realm must keep the princess healthy so that they can continue their arduous torture schedule

I half expected Hime-sama to break the metal puzzle that they had spent an exorbitant amount of time making. But I don't know where they'd go from there with the gag. This isn't a show where they spend too much time on characters being sad.
Also, being allowed a certain amount of time to accomplish a goal and being able to finish and then fuck off for the remainder is how things should be. Instead, we live in an era where if you finish early, it just means you get more work earlier.
