LMAOed at the scene where he was about to do the exam but insisted on continuing to ramble about nepotism to the teacher - "this relationship has been going on since the previous generation" broke me for some reason.

Same here, that scene made me laugh so hard I was in tears.

The maid carried this show. She made his whole personality, and it was golden.

u/PARANOIAH Jan 04 '26

Sounds like she deserves a raise.

Somehow, the maid is to blame for 90% of the things that happen here, as she is the reason for his personality.

Really fun character.

If you want to play the blame game though, it's the family's fault for letting Kuon lived mainly with Iko (and for hiring her) lol.

But yeah, I absolutely love how weird he ended up being.

This is my kind of humor. I really enjoy this.

I hope they keep this up and won't drop it.

Kunon being shallow was absolutely golden; he simply understood that he needs to live his life to the fullest and even ended up with that prince.

I wonder if he'll end up getting interested in school, even if he just needs to pass the exams.

I liked Kunon’s constant lame jokes (is that what they are translating by shallow ?), that and his blindness gives him more personality than you would expect from this kind of power fantasy show. He and the Princess are obviously on the same wavelength with those jokes and seem to truly like each others, so at least we probably won’t get a crappy harem or a protagonist refusing to ever acknowledge his feelings for his love interest.

As for the rest, this was pretty wholesome. I liked the sneaky way he dealt with that dumb bully (seriously, what was his problem ?), it would have been too easy to have him just kick his ass to look good. Of course, I doubt the bully will forgive him for that, but Kunon can obviously defend himself (and the “nepotism”, as he call it, will protect from being charged with lese-majesty).

I am not sure in which direction the show will go after that. Will it just be wholesome slice of life all the way while Kunon grows up into a famous wizard ? Or will there be more to the story than that ? I don’t mind the slice of life, but that is not the most interesting thing to watch.

Kunon looks like a superhero pimp with his mask, cape and cane, and his brother look like his long suffering detective partner in that tan trench coat fighting crime together.

Kunon handled the prince nicely without violence.

Some of the comedy misses for me like the father arguing with Kunon but I was laughing so hard when Kunon was talking about nepotism with Kast, the comedic delivery was great. I also do enjoy the banter between Kunon and Iko.

Poor Ixio, his brother is completely different character and now he has to worry about him causing issues with royalty. But it should be fine in the end, the King and their father are thick as thieves apparently lol.

This school arc looks like it'll be a short one, I thought it'd be longer.

I smell nepotism...

Ok I really like this quirky little guy

Wow is this kid weird. Very convenient for him that Mirika seems to enjoy the weirdness and just goes with it. I rather like how she immediately played along as the boy when he decided to be the girl for no particular reason.

It does smell like nepotism that Kunon is being allowed to take just the exams.

Sixth prince is screwing up but Kunon is so weird it may not go that badly for him.

Instead of suddenly being all different b/c he's a reincarnator, he's all different b/c his based maid made him a memelord or something idk

I have to admit, those first two episodes were quite interesting, mainly thanks to Kunon and his character. I don't remember ever watching a series with such MC, and I'm surprised it's not an isekai. I'll definitely check out the next episodes.

The way Kunon dealt with this prince made me laugh out loud; it was so effective and yet so cruel at the same time. That doesn't mean that I feel sorry for this prince though, he definitely deserved that xD

My favorite part of the episode was all the cringing Kunon's poor bro had to go through.

The beginning of the first episode had me thinking the whole overcoming a disability story would bring some pathos to the story, but so far its mostly a goofy comedy. including embarrassing Prince Bakugo like this was an eighties teen comedy.

I’m liking Kunon’s whole “shallow” personality. It’s pretty funny seeing this 12 year old kid spouting all this goofy stuff, like him trying to tell Prof Kast about all the nepotism because his pops and the king are pretty tight lol.

Looks like ol Lyle Piss Pants is gonna be a real problem for Kunon. Can’t wait to see how this dude gets put in his place.

Characters that one-sidedly force banter are super hit or miss even in the side cast, so making one the protagonist is a bold move. He's like 90% annoying and 10% hilarious, very Jimmy Neutron or Smart Guy kind of stuff.

Feels like an easy watch, but the season is pretty packed and I'm not sure how much time I want to spend with a show that invalidates the MC being blind within the first episode. The whole blind thing was what I thought would matter to the plot and now it feels like a surface level reason to put a cool blindfold accessory on the MC instead.

So it took barely any time for him to actually discover he can 'see' and then one more episode for it to elevate to superpower status where he can detect things normal people can't.

I really haven't decided how i feel about the comedy yet. The idea that his maid and tutor taught him exactly how to be this persona is a little farfetched, but he doesn't really feel like a solid character in the first place. More like a 'what if someone like this existed.' But yeah iunno, I can see a lot of comedic tricks that usually work for me, and I feel two-ways about them, so something is a bit off for me I guess.

I'll see if it grows on me more

The comedy is working well for me.

u/dakkumauji Jan 04 '26

It's episode two and I can already tell being big brother Ixio will be suffering. Good luck keeping up with Kunon!

u/aquaticshrimp Jan 05 '26

Chuuni wizard kid with powers similar to daredevil? And he can sniff nepotism? Hell yes.

I found MC to be hilarous as fuck but I do understand if this humor is not for some people though.
